Das Pfandler Hotel

Excellent stay - amazing view from room - Excellent food and a very friendly family run hotel.

The same family have run this hotel for a very long time and they do it very well. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and very comfortable and all have balconies with views to the mountains or the lake. Most guests appear to visit for a week or more and to take the half board option. The food is varied and high quality in both ingredients and presentation and there is a choice of main courses. The staff are cheerful, friendly and helpful. To top it off, the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!

The hotel is traditional in it’s style , beautifully constructed and furnished. All the public areas have a luxurious feel to them. We had a ‘Sonnjoch’ bedroom, good size, lake view and catching the morning sun rising over the mountains. The bathroom was superb, with a huge walk in shower. Cannot praise the kitchen highly enough. Breakfast was beautifully presented with good choice of food and of course the lovely artisan breads . The 5 course dinner menu was available at breakfast from which you made a choice, full or half portions. The dinner itself was always delicious accompanied by an excellent choice of mainly top quality Austrian wines. The staff were all well trained, polite and friendly and could not do enough to be helpful. The family (Entner) who own the hotel were ‘hands on’ , always around and even helping out with the waiting etc. So nice to see and a sure way to achieve a successful business. ,

We spent a lovely week at Das Pfandler at the end of August and I can't recommend it enough. We received a very warm welcome and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and I was really struck by the attention to detail in everything they did. Above all, they seemed to be a well bonded and very happy team. Our room (Karwandal type)was bright and airy with a comfortable seating area and balcony and the bathroom with its walk-in shower was perfect. And as if all of that was not enough, the food was wonderful. The breakfast buffet included a huge choice of breads, cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and yoghurts, croissants and pastries and a selection of hot breakfast favourites like eggs and bacon. The evening meal main courses always included a vegetarian option and I can honestly say that each and every meal was superb, they were the nicest vegetarian meals I have eaten in years. My grateful thanks to the chef. My meat eating husband was just as pleased with the meat and fish options. The hotel is ideally situated opposite the lift station and bus stop and within an easy stroll to the lake. If you have mobility problems, you can catch the local bus (which is free with your Guest Card) from the lift station to the lake - and back again. We really enjoyed our stay at Das Pfandler and we will definitely be back.

We travelled with Inghams to Das fander for 11 nights end of August, Beautiful hotel our room was facing the Karwedel Cable Car with mountain view we had the sun on our balcony most afternoons, the food is amazing you can have 5 courses if you wish and they also offer half portions for the main, the breakfast offers an array of fruit, cakes, bacon and eggs with meats yogurts plenty to choose from. The staff cannot do enough for you they are all so friendly and helpful we have to have a special mention to Matius and Rudl who made us laugh and we always had a chat with they are very funny but very professional. The family and staff work very hard to keep the hotel sparkling clean and run with efficency we had a fabulous time and Lake Achensee is just stunning we walked, climbed, biked and also did the Tandem Paragliding which we would both highly recommend (office inside cable car) across the hotel. Also steam train and obviously the boats on the lake. Definitely buy the Achensee card at €84 each so worth it for 7 days unlimited use of cable cars, boats, stream train and buses. Everything at the hotel and pertisau is spot on we will be returning. Thankyou to everyone at the hotel for making our holiday one to remember.

Sehr freundlich und familiär. Immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zimmer sind sehr sauber ohne Beanstandungen, wir sind sehr penibel , so saubere Zimmer haben wir in den ganzen Jahren nicht erlebt. Wir sind mehr als zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Obwohl wir Pech mit dem Wetter hatten (wenig Schnee, weswegen die ausgezeichnete Lage weniger in's Gewicht fiel), haben den Aufenthalt im Hotel Pfandler sehr genossen. Besonders gefallen hat uns die familiäre Atmosphäre und die Freundlichkeit des Personals, das ausnehmend nett und hilfsbereit war. Auch das Essen war sehr gut.

Top Hotel an Top Lage mit Top Personal! Alles in Allem ein wiederum gelungener und erholsamer Urlaub in familiärer Atmosphäre. Wir kommen mittlerweilen seit 10 Jahren ins Pfandler. Das sagt eigentlich schon alles aus!

Hotel liegt direkt an der Bergbahn und wenige Meter Fußweg zum See. Herzlicher Empfang an der Rezeption. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich . Zimmer sehr schön, das Essen ist sehr gut und ein schöner Barbereich , um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen. Großes Hallenbad mit Saunabereich und Ruheräume. Wir haben den Kurzaufenthalt genossen.
