Lovely castle hotel. Even in winter! This beautiful castle has amazing views, beautiful outdoor spaces, incredible food, unique rooms, and a warm and welcoming staff. Take some time to wander the hallways, public rooms, and nooks and crannies so you can admire all the thought that was put into the restoration of this castle. We had chilly weather while we were there, but we were never cold inside the hotel. Our room was warm, plus the staff was happy to build roaring fires in the bar and sitting room for us. The outdoor areas are gorgeous, and it would be a treat to visit in the warmer months too.

Lovely place big you want the castle experience in the center of Italy, few options like this one. Very well restored castle with beautiful grounds. Not huge, so very cozy. We were just there in December, and we were lucky to have nice weather. But I am sure in spring or early summer it must be fantastic. They have a pool and 2 hot tubs. One this I pointed out, is the mattress and pillows need to be upgraded to reflect the level of the structure and excellent service. On the latter, everyone is extremely nice, and being more of a boutique setting, it is nice to get to know everyone. To finish, the restaurant is excellent. worth a stop but if for just dinner. it is very close to Perugia, so if you are renting a car, totally worth it.

It was a really unique experience staying in real castle and staffs and food was really nice. Wonderful view was a plus. Highly recommend!

Wonderful. Fantastic views, wonderful staff, incredible castle building. The rooms are a bit small but nice. The staff accommodated are earlier eating hours. They helped with the luggage. The location is not convenient unless you have a car. Nice pool area. Great dining room. Pretty gardens

The property was breathtaking. Beautiful in every way. The short taxi ride to the city center and incredible views of Perugia from the property made it enjoyable. Our only criticism is that it was noisy at night.

This was our second stay at Castello di Monterone. It really is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The property and grounds are absolutely stunning! It is so peaceful and relaxing. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel is also wonderful. The location is great for exploring the towns and sights of Perugia! We will DEFINITELY be returning!

Just a stunningly beautiful place. Extensive and lovely gardens. Magnificent views towards Perugia and down into the valley. Excellent restaurant. Beautiful rooms in a renovated castle. Attentive, helpful and friendly staff. We even got a room upgrade. What is there not to like in this hotel?

2/5 Disappointing Beautiful restore property very clean with tiny rooms unfortunately we will not coming back ever we spend 3 nights there and the air conditioning in the all property does not work even in the restaurant where i invite 7 guests from the arra so you are sweating all day and whole night..i concluded that they tryng to save cost... understandable but not at the expenses of the costumers.. after expressing my self to the management they offer me lunch and some local wine but i decliner respectively
