Ulasan Mida Grande Resort Phuket

Our 2-night stay at Mida Grande was average. We had booked a room with a Jacuzzi but it had some green algae at the bottom so we didn’t use it. The bed cover was not clean and had some stains so we asked housekeeping to come around to change it. Since it rained a lot on the first day, we ordered room service and the food was just so-so and it took a while for green curry and pineapple fried rice to come but the person was nice. The room felt like a serviced apartment, the bed was comfortable and it was a quiet room. The hotel doesn’t seem to have many guests and those we saw were mostly Russian families. Breakfast was okay with enough selection including an egg station. There is a Starbucks at the lobby. Location is not ideal but fine if you have a rental scooter. Also, the layout of the hotel was strange and you need to walk along paths and lots of stairs to get to other buildings for the gym, restaurant, etc.

The resort was overall pretty good condition. Multiple gyms and pools and rooftop pools as well which was nice and chill. Breakfast was good but got quite busy towards 9:30 to 10:30 so go early. One thing I’d like to note is their beach/pool towel situation. We asked for beach towels multiple times but fail to receive promptly in our rooms and had to chase at concierge. Even then, it was a struggle and waste of time to wait. According to the manager they just have issues getting enough inventory and turn around on the towels daily and they have not just the hotel rooms to service but the villas, long stays etc. I hear them on the issue but it shouldn’t be a guests job to understand and just be okay especially beach towels can be considered the most important thing to a pool and beach retreat. Definitely need to figure this out and overall experience will be much pleasant and enjoyable.
