【Deposit】Staying for six nights, the deposit was 1000 THB per night, totaling 6000 THB (approximately 1400 RMB). This is the first hotel I've stayed at that required such a large deposit. I read reviews saying some paid 2000 THB and others paid no deposit at all, so I'm not sure if I was the only one who had to pay so much. I only brought 20,000 THB in cash, and it all went to the front desk, which certainly contributed significantly to Thailand's economy, as it limited my spending power elsewhere. 🙂 【Room】We stayed in the Bhuri wing, which is separated from the Thani wing by a very narrow road. It's essentially a two-minute walk to the beach, so there isn't much difference. The twin room in the Bhuri wing has two 1.5-meter beds, which are more comfortable than the 0.9-meter twin beds in the Thani wing. Plus, the third floor wasn't damp at all; my swimwear would dry in the afternoon after hanging it up in the morning. The only downside is that the view from the window isn't a sea view, so it's not as pretty. If you don't mind not having a sea-view room, staying in Bhuri is a good option. The hotel has several pools. It was too sunny during the day, but swimming at night was pleasant, with warm water and no sun. We enjoyed it. You can lie on the sun loungers within the hotel grounds for free, but the beach chairs on the actual beach cost 200 THB per day. The sun in Phuket is incredibly, incredibly, incredibly strong, so we couldn't stay outdoors for long during the day, which is why we didn't rent any beach chairs. You can go to the beach to watch the sunset in the evening. 【Breakfast】The hotel offers breakfast at three locations. The Bhuri, Thani, and Veli wings each have their own breakfast restaurants, and guests can choose any of them. The Bhuri wing's breakfast restaurant is by the sea and has a better view, but the food-serving area is small. The Thani wing's breakfast restaurant is in a lobby, with more space for food and seating. We preferred the Thani's breakfast restaurant. We didn't visit the Veli wing's. The food selection is the same at all locations. 【Service】The hotel's cleaning service was decent. If we put up the 'clean my room' sign, it would be cleaned quickly. However, during our stay, twice while swimming in the hotel pool, two male staff members approached us and asked where we were from and for our room number. I suspect they thought we weren't hotel guests and were using their pool for free, as they didn't question the Western guests around us. This experience didn't leave a great impression.

I booked a Poolside Family Room at the Verilou building. Before I arrived, I read some reviews saying there was discrimination against Chinese guests, but I didn't believe it, thinking perhaps our compatriots were overly sensitive. However, I experienced it firsthand! We arrived early, around 12:30 PM. When checking in, I specifically asked for a room not too far away, but they assigned us to the very back, most secluded corner room. It was far from the lobby and noisy due to ongoing construction. When I brought this up to the front desk, the staff member impatiently told me that all ground floor rooms in buildings 26-29 were fully booked, claiming that foreigners had specifically requested their rooms via email. I thought to myself, 'Wow, that's quite a story they're making up!' I asked if my early arrival counted for nothing, and if an email from someone else was all it took. They confirmed that it was. I figured, fine, then give me something closer. After my persistent efforts, I finally got moved to building 25, which was much closer to the lobby. So, I just want to know: First, was my initial conversation with her completely pointless? Second, if you had a closer room available, why did you send me to the farthest corner? Extremely dissatisfied. Is this discrimination against Chinese people?! **Environment:** To be fair, the Verilou building has a great environment, and all the facilities are very new. The private pool with the Poolside Family Room also had very clean water, and my child had a fantastic time.

This was my second stay, and the beach is absolutely stunning! The hotel is huge with many different pools. There are also plenty of facilities for kids. But my favorite part is definitely the beach – the sand is so fine and incredibly comfortable to walk on! Outside the hotel, there's a 7-Eleven and restaurants conveniently located on the street. Dining at the hotel is also a good option; dinner costs around 200 RMB per person, which I felt was great value, and there are many restaurant choices within the hotel. Definitely worth a third visit!

This hotel is huge, it feels like they own the entire Kata Beach. The Thani Wing offers ocean view rooms, and I'm sure every single one has an amazing, unobstructed sea view. I stayed in a central room, which was quite lively, and the bar music was pretty loud at night. If you stay on either end of the wing, it's much quieter. Each has its pros and cons. The other two wings are more like garden view rooms, and the newly opened water park is quite fun. I had dinner at the hotel's Royal Thai restaurant in the evening, and it was exquisite. Overall, it's great, but one night was too rushed this time. It would be better to stay for two or three days; it's perfect for a vacation.

The newly opened Veli Wing was so much fun! The wave pool and big slides were great, and the room was adorable with top-notch facilities. I'm not sure what those negative reviews were expecting, but we even got upgraded to a pool room, and the service was excellent. There was no discrimination whatsoever; every staff member was smiling. When my child hurt their foot on a rock, three medical personnel arrived with a first-aid kit within a minute. Although breakfast was a typical Western-style meal, it was still very good. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied!

I didn't manage to get a sea-view room, so I booked this family pool room instead. Honestly, I didn't think the price was worth it, so I upgraded to a better room and paid the difference. The pool villas at the hotel next door are amazing, so this review is more for the staff – they were really patient, even with the language barrier. I'd definitely recommend going for a sea-view room at this hotel. The pool rooms didn't seem that special for the price; you're better off putting that extra budget towards a sea view.

The resort is quite large, divided into three buildings. We stayed two nights in the Buli Building and three nights in the Weili Building. For the last two nights in the Weili Building, we even got a free upgrade to a pool access room, which the kids absolutely loved since they could just jump straight into the pool. The Weili Building had just been renovated, so the facilities were quite new. This area also had waterslides (open three sessions daily) and a lazy river (open two sessions daily), keeping the kids entertained non-stop. We didn't even need to leave the resort to find fun. Facilities: Being newly renovated, everything was very new. Service: The staff were all very friendly and greeted us warmly. The security guard at the parking lot entrance even saluted my child every time he saw him. After check-in, the front desk staff even took the time to show us the pool area and informed us about the opening hours.

Our room was close to the lobby, with a garden view and a distant sea view from the window. Just 5 meters past the hedge outside our door was the street. It could get a bit noisy in the mornings with the motorcycles. Overall, the hotel had a very quiet atmosphere. Both the pool and beach were easily accessible for swimming. The sea was very clear in the mornings but got a bit murkier in the afternoons.

The hygiene was excellent, and the service was top-notch, everyone was so nice. The beach sand was very fine, and the water was crystal clear and beautiful. It's a great choice for a relaxing vacation with kids.

January 28-29, 2026 Initially, I booked the Kata Sea Breeze Hotel, but then I saw it was only three stars and not particularly cheap. When I found out that Katathani had family rooms in the newly opened Bhuri Wing, which was perfect for our family of five, I immediately switched hotels. Upon arrival, the hotel surprised me by upgrading me to the Tani Wing, which is closer to the sea. We checked in right at sunset, and it was breathtaking! Although I only caught a glimpse and missed the full sunset, the view here is first-class. The Tani Wing is close to the beach, with coconut trees lining the garden, lush green lawns, and sun loungers everywhere – an excellent spot for relaxation. Plus, staff members prevent outsiders from entering, making it relatively peaceful. I highly recommend the Bhuri Wing's water park. It's newly opened and absolutely perfect for kids, with slides, pools, and a lazy river. The new facilities make it incredibly fun. Even if you stay in the Bhuri Wing and it's not beachfront, it's not a problem; you can easily access Kata Noi Beach from the Tani Wing lobby. The taxis waiting outside the hotel are quite expensive. For our transfer to Karon Orchid Hotel, which is 3.6 kilometers away, with five people and luggage, they quoted 300 THB. In the end, I used Bolt to call a seven-seater car for 211 THB, which was at least a bit cheaper. The last photo I took was of the W-shaped beach from the Karon Viewpoint, which I reached by walking a mountain path. It was a bit tiring to walk, but if you have a car, it's definitely worth a visit, and the viewpoint is free. The second-to-last photo was taken from the Kata Noi Viewpoint I passed by; however, most of the viewpoints along that route require you to make a purchase.

Our first night was in a family room in the Tani Building. The balcony opened right onto a lawn, and the surroundings were absolutely stunning. It's a true beachfront resort with amazing sea views. The pool is beautiful and connects right to the beach. We saw very few Chinese guests, mostly foreigners who would fill up the beach chairs by morning. The holiday vibe was fantastic.

There's a subtle difference in how they treat Chinese guests, which is undeniable. However, the hotel's environment and scenery are indeed quite good.

The hotel is right on a beach, and the entire resort has everything you could want for dining, entertainment, and activities. We stayed two nights, sunbathed on the beach every day, and even got to enjoy a beautiful sunset after our morning run along the shore!

We booked the Pool View Bhuri Wing. The entire hotel is massive, with 7 swimming pools in total. The pool right below the Bhuri Wing is the largest and also the least crowded. All hotel pools offer lawn massages, which are decent for a simple relaxation, though the technique isn't exceptional. Right outside the hotel, there's a 7-Eleven and a few restaurants. The hotel is located in a quiet yet convenient part of Kata, only about a 10-minute scooter ride to the main Kata bustling area. Check-in for the Thani Wing and Bhuri Wing are in completely different locations, about a five-minute walk apart. Personally, I prefer the Bhuri Wing; it's great for both couples and families, as the kids' pool and entertainment center are located here. The advantage of the Thani Wing is that I believe all its rooms offer sea views. For seafood, we went to the Rawai Seafood Market, which was quite close, only about a 15-minute drive.
