What a wonderful surprise! It turns out to be a 500-year-old monastery! The bathroom is spacious, and the water temperature is perfect! The room itself is large — it’s a suite. The view from the backyard is absolutely stunning! The town it’s in is charming as well! I drove here from Florence, and this place is definitely worth a special trip for a short stay.

Over the last years, I have stayed several times at Il Chiostro. It might need some refurbishments and some might complain about not being accessible by car , but its charm and location, as well as its professional and kind staff, make it a wonderful place to stay for a few days. I simply love it and I will surely come back.

The location, environment and scenery are all first-class. The price-performance ratio is super high. It is recommended to stay for two nights, drink and enjoy the scenery. The map is wrong, the hotel door does not show that the main door is 30 meters behind.

The hotel did not inform in advance that there was no parking lot. The room was very dark, and the beams had burnt marks, making it quite eerie. The toilet seat was broken and the single chair was so stained that I didn't dare to sit on it. Because there is no dressing table, I opened the bedside drawer and found that it was also full of dust and hair, which was not hygienic. Shocked, if this is considered a four star hotel. The breakfast was acceptable and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is located in the center of the town. In fact, the town is so small that you can explore it in an hour. All in all, I would definitely not stay here if I had to choose again. I won't recommend this '4 stars hotel'.

The location is super good, at the entrance of the town, the room and bathroom are relatively large, the breakfast is very rich and there is a wide range of choices. The only drawback is that the WiFi signal is not very good.

The hotel is quite old and is located in the restricted area of ​​the town, so safety should be no problem, but the red displays make me a little scared, haha.

The room also has a small suite, the sightseeing environment is first-class, and the breakfast is also rich. The downside is that there is no elevator and the temperature of the bath water is unstable, but it is acceptable. In short, it is highly recommended.

I was feeling sick and was on the verge of catching a cold, so I headed to the hotel early. Although other guests were allowed to check in early, I was made to wait because the cleaning wasn't done yet. The woman in charge, Ellie, was very rude and didn't let me into my room even at 3 o'clock. The woman who told me about the bus timetable was kind. The room was small with no view (I wish they would specify this when choosing the room). The only amenities were soap and shower caps provided, and there was not even a kettle. The heating was not turned on and it was very cold because it was on the mountain. When I went to the front desk to borrow a kettle, the woman said that it should be in the room, and if there wasn't, I could just get a cup of hot water at the restaurant, so they wouldn't lend it to me. It was so cold that I caught a cold, so I was in trouble because I wanted to boil water in the kettle and drink hot tea several times. The staff at the restaurant were all very kind, and when I said I had a sore throat, they shared some honey with me. There were many options for breakfast, and the view from the restaurant was beautiful. It was a good price, but if you expect a 4-star hotel, you will be disappointed. There are plenty of other hotels in Pienza that are cheaper and have better views.
