the room was ok. the staff doesn’t speak english but it’s normal in China. the indication of laundry and ironing service is incorrect, in fact there’s only one self-service washing machine. the indication of the possibility to add breakfast is wrong, in fact it’s not possible to have breakfast at the property. perfect location.

Good place to stay a couple of days. Is in the old city and the staff is helpfull

The location is good as it is just beside the south gate. The inn is basic but clean. No breakfast. Issue was they were smoking indiscriminately in the lobby.

The location are great, near the North gate. This is the first hotel which the lady boss give you a souvenir when checkout the hotel.

Excellent location in the old city. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Provide a free shuttle service between hotel and city gate since cars are not allowed in the city walls. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower was a bit low.

Beautiful courtyard within the ancient city and we stayed in a 3 beds room with a large living room. Clean and well kept. The location is superb near the Qing Ming street and the city gate. The hotel offers a mandarin speaking guide (with a fee)who took us around the 5 tourist spots within the ancient city. The staffs are friendly.

The hotel is very well placed but some how a difficult to find because the front part of it is now a traditional custom shop. The building is an old traditional building very nice.

Booked 2 rooms and it is a pleasant experience to stay at 忠恕園. Should have arranged with the staff for xian north train station pick up then we can get to the hotel without much struggling in locating the hotel. Price is cheaper than taking taxi and the golf cart. Avoid to eat inside the city at all cost. Food is extremely horrible and identical. Deep fried frozen food and you can taste the frozen taste. Walk out from the South Gate and you can find good food.

The hotel's location is fantastic right in the beginning of the old Town. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic place and nicely restored. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The staff didn’t speak English, we didn’t speak Chinese and yet, we had no issues communicating. They were always willing to answer our questions and give us recommendations on what to do or eat. The hotel also has a washing machine to use free of charge. The room itself is big enough, particularly the bathroom was bigger than the one we had in the 4 star hotel in Beijing in which we paid triple the price for. We visited during low season so it was very quiet. Given the price we paid per night using a special promotion, it’s hard for me not to rate 10/10 due to the value for money received.

Lovely hotel right in the heart of the walled city. Be aware entrance is trough a hairdresser. Spacious and modern rooms, very clean and traditional. Before you visit be advised, taxis cannot enter walled town therefore cannot reach the hotel. Ask taxi driver to drop you off at the East gate of the walls and from there take the golf cart like vehicles (only taxi service allowed within the walled area) to reach the hotel. If you speak mandarin you may be able to get the service for free from the hotel, couldn't get it before check in but they kindly drove me to the East Gate for free when I left. Closest gate to the hotel is the South but has no vehicular access, if carrying luggage, always use East Gate.
