Battistero Residenza d'Epoca

Amazing hotel, perfect location. It’s in the heart of Pistoia, steps from restaurants, cafes, bars, sites and some of the best gelato I’ve ever had. Lorenzo was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the room was incredible. We had the top floor suite with a private terrace, the view was beautiful. We’d stay here again without a doubt.

Lovely place & lovely people. The location is perfect - you can't get any more central. Our room overlooked a very busy square... market in the mornings & full of lively eateries at night, but close the windows & shutters & virtually no noise comes into the room. Perfect! We were getting married in Pistoia, so stayed at the Battistero for 10 days. Breakfasts were lovely... different home-baked breads, cheeses, hams, gorgeous fruit tarts & really good coffee. Dana was brilliant - so helpful & friendly & she really got into the whole wedding event. She organised taxis to take us to the wedding venue & always greeted us with a cheerful smile. Nothing was too much trouble. We had several wedding guests who stayed at the Battistero & we all had a great time. The room was spacious enough to contain all our wedding things (outfits & other things we had taken with us from the UK). The shower was very good, the bed very comfortable & we never really heard any noise from other guests despite the hotel being quite busy. Definitely recommend this place. We were comfortable & well looked after & the location is bang central without being noisy.

Fantastic hotel and lovely people Travelled for work but it was great to come back to such a great place Right in the centre so easy to get out and see the wonderful town. Really recommend visiting this hotel!

This is our second stay at this lovely B&B. We stayed there before pre-Covid in 2019 and were fortunate enough stay there this year. Both times we stayed on the top floor in Room 401. The Deluxe King Suite with a small balcony but big enough for a table with four chairs and a table—the views were incredible almost 360. The rooms are so clean and well taken care of. Lots of little extras like shampoo, shower gel, body lotion etc. Views terrific even inside the huge room. This is a family run hotel and everyone is so kind and only wants to make sure you have a great time in this lovely city. Breakfast is very ample,,with so many choices from pastries, meats, eggs, fruits, cereal, juices and breads. Very convenient to great restaurants, including there own. We’ve tries many restaurants in the area, all very good, and their restaurant is no exception—fantastic. Convenient to transportation, ten minute walk to train/bus station. This hotel was am absolute gem and the room I stayed in was stunning. The best bang for your buck and would stay there in a heartbeat. Also, the best part is the family history behind this hotel it was passed by 6 generations of bakers. Hence, you will have the best breakfast and freshly made bread you've ever had. Honestly, if you are looking in this area look no further and stay here. You will thank me that you did!

Great small hotel in the centre of Pistoia. Very friendly people. Great service and very good communication before arriving. Lovely breakfast and very clean rooms. We stayed for two nights. Pistoia is less known than Florence but is really great to stay for a short trip or as intermediary stop.

Clean, comfortable, centrally located room, fantastic shower with very good shower facilities. nice guide book in the room as well. warm welcoming. Looking forward to returning again. Thank you very much!

My husband and I opted to visit Pistoia as it is far less touristy than Firenze. We chose the Battistero Residenza D'Epoca due to its history and the fact that it is situated directly in the centre of town. We highly appreciated the outstanding attention and service orientation of Sara who patiently responded to all of our questions. Sara was instrumental in ensuring our stay was not only relaxing but perfect! Upon our arrival, she provided my husband with a special ice pack for his injured hand, which was gratefully appreciated. The top floor penthouse suite was utterly breathtaking due to its panoramic view and the ample space was a bonus! The complimentary refreshments and edibles were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast of assorted savoury/sweets were above and beyond the norm, which provided us with much needed energy for our touring and trekking adventures. Our four-night stay was far too short and we plan on returning to the Battistero Residenza D'Epoca next year. Grazie mille, Sara :)

A perfect stay in a wonderful hotel right in the centre of beautiful Pistoia. The staff was very helpfull, the room more than clean and cosy, the breakfast delicious! For every traveller an advise to stay here and enjoy specially the good restaurants just in the near neigborhood of the hotel. Sara can show you all the possibilties of the city, where you can eat anw what you may do. All together a succesfull trip. Jozef
