KhalKob's Belize

We stayed here 2 nights and the location was good for bars, restaurants & trips. The room was clean. The issue with our stay was upon arrival our toilet was not flushing properly which as you can imagine causes issues!!. This was reported to reception straight away and she did her best by putting some acid down it & stating a plumber would come out tomorrow morning. This did not fix the blockage. We did ask to change rooms but was told we could not….. The next day no plumber showed and we had a blocked toilet for duration of our stay. Which is not pleasant if you know what I mean!!…. The manager Rodney was informed as well but we did not hear back from him, not even an apology or some form of discount for the issue. Just a message hoping we had a good stay and if we could leave a review… We stayed in room 1 so watch out for the dodgy Loo!…

At the time, Rodney only had three days vacancy in a one bedroom apartment. He worked so hard to keep us there because we like the convenient location. The office closes at 5 and Miss Cindy was pleasantly awaiting us at 8. We knew that the last four nights we would be moved numerous times. The first floor apartment was very nice, calming colors, well stocked kitchen, and spotlessly clean. After our three nights, Miss Cindy moved us upstairs to the second floor apartment for the rest of our stay. What an upgrade! Open concept, beautiful kitchen, outdoor patio with table for 6 and large seating area. Spacious bathroom and master suite. Deep soaking tub and spacious waterfall shower. We were thrilled and Miss Cindy shared our joy! We had a car but never used it the whole week. Half a block from the main street and the board walk. Board walk is set back on the beach and walks to the pier, lined with local shops and restaurants and bars, or north to a quieter area. Beautiful and interesting either direction. Always felt safe and cared for. Thanks to friendly Miss Cindy and the staff for making this a pleasant experience. Khalkob will remain top of our list.
