The 2 BR was well appointed. We loved the full kitchen and queen sized beds. The only thing was the shower was a bathtub shower combo. A little hard for several in my party to use comfortably. We had a walk out balcony and a straight walk in front entry from the parking lot which were great.

Scenic, clean resort with lots to do outside including golf. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Although we got rained out on this week we have thoroughly enjoyed the resort grounds on past visits. We did order a meal from the restaurant which took a long time and was a little high priced. We will bring our own food next time.

Disappointed about the fishing and care of the Middle Lake. Lots of grown up in the lake, drying out. Fishing in big lake very poor. Limited ice cream options. Nice staff who very friendly. No cleaning station for fish.

Spent a week here exploring SE Missouri state parks and nearby Illinois outdoor areas. Very convenient to get to these. Especially enjoyed Johnson Shut-Ins, Don Robinson, Taum Sauk, Elephant Rocks, St. Francois and Washington State Parks and their many trails and outdoor areas. Trails are well-marked and have many interesting features. Also, Cliff Cave County Park and Fort de Chartres in Western Illinois along the Mississippi. Minimal healthy dining at the resort met our pescatarian needs - ate at restaurants in Crystal City, Festus, Hillsboro, Bonne Terre and Farmington - each good - Thai Rama was favorite. Units were comfortable though bedrooms were not spacious. Strange tub next to bed in master bedroom. Only one night stand. Sufficient clothes storage. Would be tight for two couples to share. Couch, beds and chairs comfortable. Kitchen well-equipped. Too much road noise even though units are somewhat removed from roads. Wifi was spotty though had no trouble streaming movies. Temperatures were in the high 80s but the pool was closed due to state regulations. Staff very helpful when asked. 5-hole golf course was fun and club rental was very reasonable.

Be very careful in booking this place for less than 7 days. Weekend Getaway stays for less than a 7 day stay results in hidden charges at checkout. Be careful as the costs can skyrocket. Therefore we will not be back if we cannot stay for the initial RCI price we paid. There is not really that many attractions for a 7 day stay.

We stayed at this resort over the 4th of July week. It met all of our needs and it was very relaxing. We were able to have coffee on our back porch and even had the chance to watch the geese travel from the back lake to the front lake! At least 100 geese of all sizes! It was so cute!

The unit was clean but it is in dire need of updating. There are virtually no activities unless you want to pay a fee. No recommendations were given for restaurants, grocery stores, or recreational activities in the area. If I hadn't done my research ahead of time I wouldn't have known about the things to see and do within an hour of the resort.

Comfortable and clean unit. Adequate kitchen stocked with all a family needs for basic meal prep. Very nice facilities with some planned activities. Mini-golf is wall maintained. Golf course and mini golf were both free to use. Fishing is easily accessed. Too cold for swimming at this time, but it looks like a large pool. Staff has been super friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to return for another vacation or to recommend the resort to other!

Was in the area to buy & pickup an antique motorcycle & needed a place to stay. Being a Holiday Inn Vacation Club member/owner I always look for a resort near my chosen destination. The facility is a bit different than others I’ve visited, laundry was in the bottom floor of main office (no washers/dryers in units), kitchen was small as were the bathrooms. One of the two bedrooms had a small kitchen unit in it. Beds were comfortable, unit was clean. TVs in bedrooms were small & choice of viewing channels were very limited (mostly sports channels). We enjoyed our time there and it was convenient for our needs. Will definitely stay there again if ever in the area, even if we had to drive a little out if the way.
