Wonderful helpful staff. Cute traditional hotel in the middle of all the action but a few streets over so the noise it not a problem.

After a horrible night at a nearby hotel, my husband and I moved over to Acanto for a 6 night stay. They let us check in early which we were very grateful for. Our room was lovely, comfy bed and very clean. Right off of 5th Avenue and a block from the beach. Great location and a super friendly staff. I would recommend!

The property is very well maintained, and conveniently located! We love the Acanto and will be back! The staff were so helpful and we really felt at home during our 1st time stay in Playa del Carmen....Miguel, best night concierge ever!

We had an excellent stay at this lovely boutique hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Karla, Miguel and Lilliana. Highly recommend this hotel

I had such a great stay here and will definitely stay again! The room was very spacious and super clean, strong wifi connection during my stay, and the hotel itself is so close to everything. The staff are so lovely, very friendly and always offering to help.
The only thing to note is it can get noisy at night due to the location of the hotel.

Absolutely Amazing in EVERY WAY!!! The staff is incredible, they are welcoming and helpful with the most kind hearts! The hotel is beautiful inside and out, comfortable beds, spacious and exactly what we were looking for! If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, this is the best thing you will do!! We will definitely be returning and staying with them very soon!!!! Just spectacular!

Really nice clean place to stay in one of the best locations in PDC. Anything you need while staying there is within a couple block walk. Parking is also easy and staff is very inviting and friendly.

Carla and Miguel were so helpful and accomodating. The property itself was very clean and well kept, and amazingly, for being a half block off of 5th Ave, very quiet. We had the superior one bedroom suite, which had a private roof top deck. Amazing views from both the rooftop deck and from our living room window. The hot water and water pressure were a little spotty, but we've learned to accept that when traveling out of the US. Who wants a hot shower after a hot day on the beach anyway!

1. Staff was 5/5. Very accommodating and helpful. They don’t automatically clean the room or change towels but have no issues doing so upon request. Beach towels are provided upon request. Front desk ladies linked us up with an affiliated tour operator for discounted Chichen Itza tour (which was excellent). We were allowed early check in and late check out free of charge, which helped us manage our time so much better.
2. Location was 4.5/5. It was just off 5th Ave and about a block away from the beach, but that said, it’s relatively far (12mins walk which feels more like 25mins under a 37C sun) from the ADO station which is where the hub of activity seems to be (buses, ferry to Cozumel, Parque de los Fundadores) and the nearest beach isn’t the prettiest section. Mamita’s is just a short walk away though.
3. Property was 4/5. The look of the whole building is charming (just like in photos). The room is spacious and well-appointed, but the age of the property does show. The light fixtures are a bit dim now, the shower head has uneven water pressyre and there’s a bit of an “old” smell. All in all, not bad but could use an update.
