HL Rondo Hotel

Excellent hotel, everything was brand new and an impeccable standard. Particularly enjoyed the pool area and À la carte breakfast. Would recommend!

Fantastic hotel, very modern and clean. Rooms were spacious, ours had seating area with sofa too which was great when getting ready and chilling, room had mini fridge, tea/coffee/kettle facilities, wine & tumble glasses, toothbrushes, razors, hairdryer, big tv, safety deposit box, spacious wardrobes and plenty mirrors for getting ready! Balcony was on the small side and not very private with glass panels but this did not affect us as we were at pool all day & out at night. Would also have benefited from a rack to hang wet clothes after a day at pool but again this wasn’t really an issue. Pool area was lovely with comfy leather loungers and a complimentary towel available from lifeguard. Pool area was quiet when we were there as low season so no struggle for a sunbed which we liked so we could enjoy a relaxed morning without a sunbed rush although there was plenty sunbeds around the pool and then a terrace area up the steps with plenty more sunbeds and own mini whirlpools. Pool bar with variety of drinks and lovely food was great and seating area. Breakfast was a good variety, hot food, continental, pastries, breads, fruits, juices and a chef available taking requests at hot food section; omelettes, variety of eggs, bacon, crepes, pancakes. Staff in all areas of hotel were friendly, welcoming & approachable. Really made the hotel vibe. Location was great, supermarket and a few bars and restaurants were right on the hotel doorstep. Yumboo centre was a 10 minute walk away with plenty restaurants enroute, lively area. Playa de Inglés beach area was a 20 minute walk downhill, lots of restaurants and bars along the beach front. Would definitely recommend this hotel, we had a great holiday.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Jose at the front desk, setting a positive tone for our stay. Jose's warm, energetic demeanour was echoed by the entire staff we encountered, including Gian and Francisco in the bar (Francisco's cocktails were exceptional), and Oscar at the pool. The restaurant staff also left a lasting impression with their attentive service. Breakfast offered a delightful array of options, from cereals to pastries, with a skilled chef ready to whip up fresh omelettes and eggs. We were particularly impressed by the stunning foyer, which exuded elegance and charm, setting the perfect ambiance for our stay. The spacious rooms and comfortable beds provided a haven of relaxation after a day of exploring, Shopping and Walking the Beach. The hotel has recently undergone extensive renovations, both inside and out, with plans for a new fitness centre in the works. Very nice hotel but the renovation it’s not 100% done which makes it feel as if they opened some month too early. Rooms are great, very small balcony. Pool area is great, but again, half of the very nice cabanas were still in plastic and not set to be used. Breakfast is ok - very British and German influenced I would say. Pool bar and coffee is a disaster, pricy and not very nice at all.

Fantastic stay for 5 nights in February. The facilities are all newly refurbished and great quality. Perfect location close to the Yumbo but still only 20 minute walk to the beach and dunes. It was fairly quiet and never a problem getting space by the pool. The pool beds are all great, super comfortable and plenty of them. Room was clean and comfortable. We booked through destino for a great rate that had breakfast included which was plentiful and a good selection. Omelette station was lovely and freshly squeezed orange juice every morning. All the staff were very helpful. One evening we popped for tapas at El Saloon opposite the hotel which was very reasonable and great food. As other reviews have said, one downside was that the pool didn't appear to be heated so it wasx just far too cold to use for any length of time and seemed to be others thought so as no one was using it, even with temperatures of 25 degrees in the sun. It did say heated November-March online however this didn't seem to be the case.

Excellent hotel newly renovated. All rooms are junior suites and are in great condition. With the hotel being in a half circle formation over 5 floors all balconies get the sun at some point during the day with the lower numbers on each floor getting the sun in the morning with the higher numbers getting the sun in the afternoon. We stayed on a B&B basis and found the breakfast to be average. The staff were all very nice and helpful though we didn’t need anything from them out of the ordinary, so smoothly run was the operation. One downside I found was the temperature of the pool which was unusable due to it being unheated in January which was required. The poolside area was lovely and the loungers were very comfortable.

The hotel has just re opened after a substantial and well planned refurbishment which looks stunning, the fascade and reception is great clean, modern and fantastic. The rooms have been transformed into amazing looking suites. Really fresh and modern. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Pillar assisted in planning a Xmas day proposal which was brilliant by the pool with a bottle of champagne. Narath, Alison and The other bar staff Run a well ran bar and nothing is too much for guests. First class front off house team. Xmas day gala night was amazing. The pool furniture is first class and excellent. The sun shone for 10 days. This made for a brilliant get away. Well done HL Rondo!!! And thank you

The room sizes are amazing was only expecting a little tiny room with toilet. Internet is only free in lobby and even when you do pay its not the best service, Towels for pool are €10 deposits which you get back once towel is returned. Now some of the down sides to this hotel. They are refurbishing some on the rooms so if you are near these room (401-406) be warned. We was woken up several times in the morning from the banging and drilling from the workmen. So if you are expecting a nice relaxing layin or a afternoon nap don't expect it, we was above one of the rooms being refurbished. The lifts are very old and can only hold 4 people max. We got stuck in lift for 10min even with the correct amount of people in so I would say with luggage only go in with 2 people. Staying here you get the use of the property across the road which has a nicer pool and evening entertainment is also located here. But the sections which are meant to be smoking/non smoking do not exist and it was free for all which if you are a non smoker it can be rather frustrating. Food was nice and cocktails mighty strong

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights and had the most wonderful experience. The room was a standard double and it was huge! Really comfy beds, loads of wardrobe space, a clean big bathroom and a spacious balcony. The room was clean and had everything we needed. You could pay extra for use of the safe however we didn’t take advantage of this. All of the staff were wonderful and we were greeted by the reception staff every time we walked in and out of the hotel. The staff in the restaurant again were friendly and welcoming. We were half board guests and if I’m honest, I am glad we didn’t pay for full board as the value for money we had with half board meant we didn’t feel it was needed. Half board included breakfast (with drinks) and dinner (drinks not included) at either the Hotel Rondo restaurant or the sister restaurant (1 minute walk away) which you had to pre book but was never an issue and all meats there were freshly grilled for you by the fantastic chefs. The only things that were not included were lunch and drinks- drinks are super affordable and we felt that we were not often at the hotel at lunchtime anyway. With that being said, the hotel also offers a ‘packed lunch’ option if you are out for the day and are all inclusive. There is a full programme of entertainment for adults and kids throughout the day and night. We didn’t engage with any of the day activities, however often went over to the sister hotel in the evening for the entertainment (karaoke, bingo, live music etc.). The bar there is good, however as the last half of our holiday ended up being in the school holidays, the queue to get a drink was LONG so we often only ended up getting 1. We had no issues with the queue out of school holiday time. Fantastic bar staff - shout out to Gian!! It was my partners birthday when we arrived and we were given a lovely bottle of bubbly and chocolates by the staff to celebrate- a lovely touch!! As a guest, you have use of both hotel pools which are clean and well looked after. The Hotel Rondo pool was often quiet and never an issue to find a space. The only one downside to our holiday was on our final day the lifeguard was rude and grumpy to all around the pool. Despite families using inflatables our whole holiday in the pool when it was quiet, on our final day we (and 2 other families) were told we were not allowed to take any inflatables in. It was delivered in a horrible tone and could have been discussed with the guests in a more professional manner… especially as it had not been a problem for the whole holiday! He then also went on to tell everyone to put their umbrellas down due to the wind (it was windy but had also been windy for the 2/3 days prior to this) which meant that some elderly couples and families were uncomfortable burning in the sun. This didn’t spoil our stay at the hotel but just put an unnecessary downer on our last day. Ending on a positive- The hotel has thought of absolutely everything from
