Sendero Hotel

This place felt like home after day 1. I cannot say enough about the staff here -- they made it extremely difficult to leave. From the helpful front desk, to surf lessons and yoga, their beautiful pool, and incredible restaurant.... it checks all of the boxes. We WILL be back!!

I stayed at Sendero for a surf retreat. The hotel is gorgeous! The staff was incredibly attentive. The room was kept clean. And the food at the hotel restaurant was wonderful. The bar is a beautiful scene with an amazing selection of cocktails!!

Can't recommend this hotel enough. Fantastic staff including the best surf instructors. Amazing location next to the beach, short walk to everything else. Delicious food. We chose to stay on for an extra 3 days as there was nowhere else we would rather have been. Nosara itself is a perfect small surf/beach town/village. Quite remote.

The resort is small but beautiful and great if you only want to surf. Excellent instructors. Staff friendly and helpful. Food good but dinner menu needs updates every few days for those staying longer. There is no shade on the beach and no beach chairs. Bring your own water bottle so you can keep hydrated when not actually at the hotel. The pool is small with several lounge chairs with umbrellas but fans are needed overhead to keep the gnats away. Loved the outdoor shower in jungle rooms. Great massage with Ruby. Easy walk to town but really dusty in dry season. Beware of « no see em » flies if you’re susceptible to bug bites.

It's a beautiful hotel with consistently excellent food and a delightfully friendly staff. The hotel is very close to a gorgeous beach with fabulous sunsets. The place is ideal for surfers, but also very relaxing for non surfers like me. We spent a lot of time walking on the beach, reading, and hanging out. Highly recommended.

Sendero Hotel is one of the coolest hotels we have stayed at. The decor is on point, the staff goes above and beyond, the food was amazing, and the location is unbeatable. Came here with our three teenage daughters who loved it as much as we did!! The short walk to the beach and the ease of renting boards added to the whole experience!! Thank you for an awesome 3 days.

This chic beach adjacent hotel wins our hearts! My whole family had the best stay thanks for to the amazing staff, delicious food, great surf lessons, and good kids programming. It was great for my family of 5 with kids ranging from 8 yrs old to 2 yrs old. We are already plotting our next trip!

Stunning from start to finish ! We had a warm welcome by the team, immediately looking after our surfboards and taking us to our gorgeous poolside room. The breakfast was incredible, especially the açai bowl. It was 2 mins through the forest to the surf at Guiones beach, you are only a short walk from all areas, restaurants and shops of Nosara. The staff though are the stars, they are incredibly friendly, helpful, welcoming and by the end of your holiday feel like friends. We will be back

Sendero is a rather new and very well maintained hotel, perfectlly located close to the Playa Guiones (2min stroll through sand and trees). Staff is super-friendly and welcoming, not only once you arrive, but also during booking and pre-arrival. Always very responsive and reliable, very friendly and helpful. The hotel was fully booked and got pretty crowded especially in the evening - probably because the food is delicious and not only hotel-guests eat there. Having said this, service almost always worked perfectly, even though sometimes it took a while for things to arrive. The athmosphere is loud and lively and there were quite a few families with kids. Lucky enough, we got a room on the upper floor a bit away from the action (No 22) so sleeping was never a problem. All in all, a pleasant enough place to spend a few relaxing days. What really surprised us, however, were the prices for food and drinks. We were aware that CR is a rather expensive country and that this particular area might be even more pricy than the rest of it, but having to pay almost as much for a coffee in the morning than for an espresso on Piazza San Marco in Venice (arguably the most expensive spot in the world to have coffee….) stroke us as a bit over the top. But as said, apart from prices, a very recommendable hotel.
