Perfect weekend escape for family gathering, close to a park with kids entertainment, restaurants with kids corner and delicious menu, not far from the old town. Superb breakfast -hot and cold buffet, variety of chocolates, juices, espresso, pancakes, traditional Bulgarian pastries. Garden with fountain suitable for weddings and anniversaries-we were lucky to see fireworks twice during our stay :) My child was so exited!

During my recent business trip to Bulgaria with my Italian partners, we discovered a great new hotel. The quality of the rooms was fantastic, with amenities such as a coffee machine, complimentary water bottles, flip-flops, and shoe-cleaning sponges. The parking was well-organized and innovative, with electronic recognition of license plates. You are asked by email the day before your arrival to send your plate information to the reception before arrival, and your car will be automatically recognized at the entry zone. The hotel also boasts fantastic restaurants and the breakfast buffet was one of the nicest I have experienced in Bulgaria. Overall, this hotel is one of the best new options for business travel in the country. The same ownership as the nearby Jagerhof craft brewery and restaurant is also great. Keep in mind the restaurant is super popular in Plovdiv and often full. They make some of the best beer in Bulgaria; Germany built the beer production facility everything with Bavarian equipment and technology. As the city of Plovdiv has been booming in recent years, hotels like this are so much-needed

Great Hotel! Spotlessly clean, modern, air conditioned. Staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We were very happy to have found such a lovely place. Only a five minute drive into Plovdiv Centre where we found plenty of parking freely available. The attached restaurant Avocado is absolutely superb with such an extensive menu that we couldn't find fault with at all. Again, the staff were amazing and the food is exceptional! We will be booking again for next year!

We were two couples in double rooms. Very happy with our stay at Boris Palace. All the staff pleasant and helpful. Lady at check in showed us both rooms so we could choose which we preferred. Both rooms spotless. Both had balconies and good views. Very impressed with the cleanliness everywhere. Absolutely spotless. Very nice breakfast of hams, cheeses, lovely fresh bread and pastries. Couldn't fault the hotel and would be my first choice when back in Plovdiv as the location was perfect. In the old town but very close walking distance to everywhere.

We stayed here two nights recently and everything was perfect. The rooms were very spacious, the size of a small apartment. Well stocked kitchen and a decent sized bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. The location was steps away from dozens of different restaurants, they even have one on location. We were also an easy walk from everything we wanted to see in town, with the train station an easy 25 minute walk. Best of all, the folks at the front desk were absolutely wonderful! The offered excellent advice on what to see in town, were super-friendly, and even arranged a cot for our toddler to sleep in, despite ********** indicating none was available (we did email and ask ahead of time; was set up waiting for us in our room). We will certainly look to stay here again the next time we are in town.

FFreedom52261600668We had a wonderful four days at Villa Flavia. The hotel is only two years old and everything is new and very clean. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We had a room safe, a coffee machine, a lovely bathroom, free use of the contents of a fridge which is replenished every day and a TV with a few channels in English. There is an open terrace on the top floor with views of the town. The hotel also offers a short tour of the Roman baths in the basement. The staff and efficient and very friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast which has a large choice of cold and hot food. You can have your breakfast inside our on the patio. The air conditioning in the rooms is efficient. The hotel is well placed in the city centre with Roman remains, bars, restaurants and shops within a short walk. I can thoroughly recommend Villa Flavia in Plovdiv.

NNomad810524We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and in general were quite pleased with it. However, we were shocked to find out that the hotel allowed people to smoke indoors in the hotel bar area. This was namely allowed in the entire ”veranda”-style area next to the bar and the hotel staff claimed that this was legally allowed because they considered it to be a terrace. It was not a terrace at all though, because it had a roof and windows, which were all closed when we were there, so it was purely an indoors area and had a really bad smell of smoke, so we could not enjoy that part of the hotel. This is really unacceptable and we hope that the hotel management will soon realize this as well and turn the hotel back into a fully smoke-free hotel, just like other Hilton-brand hotels in Europe. Our room was clean and comfortable, including the bathroom. The bed was comfortable as well and the room was quiet, so we had a good sleep. The view was on the busy road in front of the hotel, which was not particularly interesting, but maybe other rooms have better views. Breakfast was good too, with a decent selection of foods and drinks. It would have been even better with some more local specialties on the buffet. Car parking was available in the hotel's underground car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful, in particular the breakfast staff. If the hotel becomes fully smoke-free (i.e. no exceptions for so-called ”terraces”), then we will be happy to stay here again when next in Plovdiv.

HHappiness04141308286The hotel enjoys a great location bordering the old town and Kapana areas. It is accessible from the bus/train station on bus services 20 and 26. The fare is1 BGN, pay cash on bus. Catch bus on the station side of the road immediately outside the station and alight at the first bus stop after exiting the tunnel, about a 5/7-minute journey. It is just a short walk to numerous restaurants and bars and convenient for all major sights. Helpful and comprehensive introduction to Plovdiv on check in with map supplied and recommendations for things to see and do are provided. It was a beautiful clean and spacious room. our only minor reservation was the bathroom which is quite small and the shower is not enclosed so water is spread around the floor. Even though a squeegee is provided to mop up water, it is a little inconvenient. The room was well equipped with kettle, tea, coffee and water provided. There is also a mini bar. Breakfast the following morning was very good. Buffet style with range of options. All the staff were excellent, prices are very competitive for the quality on offer. We would not hesitate to stay here again if in the area.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are cosy and modern. The breakfast is varied and rich. The front view is very nice. The hotel is far from the urban noise. I recommend it for relax with the family or for a rest after a long working day. There are enough parking spaces.

I had a very nice stay at that hotel and I could enjoy the kindness of the staff, especially Viktor and Peter that help me a lot to solve the problem of a flat tyre on my rental car. they made me aware that I had a flat tyre and then help me to find a local tyre repair service that could make the repair on the parking of the hotel. Thank you very much for your very kind and very precious assistance! Your manager should be very proud to have staff like you ! I had a very nice stay at that hotel, 6 days long, and I can recommend this place to any traveler coming to Plovdiv ! Thanks a lot guys ! Alain H. BENOIT

CChenjianrongThe location of the hotel is good is nearby the bus station to Turkey. A large supermarket Lidi is nearby and free parking is available. Some apartments equipped with washing machine and kitchen utensils. You can save a lot if you need washing your clothes and make dinner yourselves.

Kktt93Very much enjoyed my two night stay here. The room was nicely done and was very spacious and had a small seating area next to the window. Eighth floor so nice view as well. Shower was strong, only note I'd have was the hair dryer was very old fashioned and it took ages to dry my long hair! Breakfast was good in the morning and had plenty of choice to cater for everyone. The cafe which I tried on my last day also had a good range of choices. Good location to the old town and other sites in the area. If your coming by train be aware that location wise it is quite a long walk from the station. Overall it was a great stay, would very much recommend.

Mini kitchen only comes with microwave oven, no cooker no kettle no utensils etc. Love the huge toilet sink. Suggest to have shower curtain and more hooks in the toilet. Bedroom carpeted. No room slippers provided. Don't bother about the view. Noise can be heard next door. 15 minutes walk to city centre. Overall stay-able for 1 night.

I was in Plovdiv on business. I chose the hotel because its location suited me very well. Not only were my expectations met, but it turned out to be even nicer. The breakfast was delicious, there was a great choice. Both the rooms and the lobby are very creative and modern, they used an interesting solution regarding the bathrooms - enclosed with glass, I would visit with my partner. There is a large and convenient car park as well as a 24/7 lobby bar. In the summer there is a swimming pool. I would certainly return when I am in town again!
