My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights. We we had the loft villa, which is the only 2 storey bungalow in the block of 9. There are 2 separate Grand Villas which I think accommodate several people. Our accommodation slept a maximum of 2 people. There is a very long dirt driveway with the villas set in a very private location hundreds of meters off the main road. The location itself is very central to the majority of the wineries. The villa was very clean. Downstairs, there is a bathroom (toilet not separate), a full kitchen with a 10-seat dining table, a lounge area that would seat 6-8 people with a flat screen TV. There is also a balcony with shutters and seating for at least 4 and an electric Weber BBQ (you need the extension cord behind the fridge to plug it in). The staircase is a spiral metal staircase (that squeaks A LOT, and is slippery on the edges of the steps). Getting your luggage up the stairs is difficult. Upstairs is a huge bedroom with a central open fireplace. The bed is very comfortable as are the pillows. There is a lounge area that would sit 6 people and a large flatscreen TV and seats at 2 windows that would sit another 8 people. There are 2 seats at the end of the bed. There are 2 French doors which look out to a dam and across trees to the Brokenback Range. The upstairs room has a cathedral ceiling adding to the sense of enormous space and the views are lovely. My wife said she loved the upstairs room and, with the fire going, would have been content to spend all week in this room. There is a balcony upstairs as well. We had high expectations due to the room price, and at first, found quite a few little things that bothered us, but after we had been there a few days, these minor issues melted into the background. It is a serene, private and lovely place to stay. Thanks to James who sorted out every problem we gave him. The good: privacy, beautiful location, great upstairs bedroom with an open fireplace, no drunken neighbours waking you at night or noisy children The bad: no laundry, downstairs toilet accessed via a precarious spiral staircase. We couldn’t figure out who the target market is… the villa only sleeps 2 and there are harsh financial penalties for letting anyone sleep over. There is seating for 30 people (and 4 teapots, 4 coffee pots etc) including a dining setting with 10 chairs. There are adjoining villas, but even if they were all filled there would be more seating in villa 9 than necessary for all of those guests.
