Antillia Hotel

Sao Miguel is an amazing place and the Antillia hotel was an excellent base for our explorations of the island. Restaurants, museums,the harbor, other meeting points were all walkable. Also, breakfasts were great - very good value.

This place was really fantastic! The check-in is a bit late, but has a large waiting area on the 1st floor with plenty of sofas. The pool bar is just around the corner where you can grab a bite and refreshment. Great place. I ll definitely stay there again.

This hotel was part of a flight/hotel package with Travelodeal. We were there as a couple the second week of May. This hotel is excellent! It is extremely clean and the staff very accommodating and helpful. For instance, one of us was sick when we arrived early in the morning and they accommodated us with a place to rest until our room was ready. The breakfast buffet is huge with options for everyone. It is the same items but the variety is so large you can create your own new breakfast each morning. If you are renting a car, the free parking is a blessing! We stayed in apar**ent 101 which had a living room, a kitchenette and a terrace with a table and chairs near the outdoor pool area which was really nice and convenient. There is an indoor and outdoor pool as well as a spa and many other amenities to spread out like a game room, restaurant and bar. The location of the hotel is off the beaten path and accessible by a short walk to all the highlights. We would come back and recommend it highly! Thank you Antillia Hotel team for a great stay!

Just a one night stay, I changed accommodation to Hotel Antillia to avail of the pool. Would not recommend for solo travellers as there are better options but the hotel is well suited for families. Good location and off-street parking.

Antillia's facilities - pool, spa, fitness center - may put this in a 4-star category, but our room definitely was not at that level. I booked Antillia through an Azores tour operator and I trusted their judgment on this being a 4-star hotel, based on a wonderful experience we'd had in Terceira last year. I was expecting something comparable. I don't know if we were put on the "package traveler" section of the hotel - we had to take two elevators to the lobby area and were some distance away - but there was no coffee maker or kettle, no mini bar (despite a listing of items on the desk), no toiletries aside from a body/hand/hair gel, and despite asking for a double room, we were given twin beds. Which were pushed together, but made up separately. It's not the same. I was surprised when I saw housekeeping staff leave a room with a kettle, so maybe some rooms have a coffee/tea-making setup. Breakfasts were sumptuous but were not included in our rate. I know that's an issue for the tour company and not the hotel. The best part of our room was the balcony. The room was clean and tidy, but no frills. The reviews calling this a luxury hotel - I'm not sure where that comes in. I joked to my husband that it would be easier for someone to get their legs waxed at Antillia than to find a cup of coffee : ) Check out Apito Dourado down the street for a great meal!

Really nice hotel, very walkable. Tiny room but nice and had a view of the water. Restaurant was decent and nice to hang out there by the pool after a long day. Staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us an early check in which we were very grateful after an overnight flight. Would stay here again for sure!

Beautiful hotel. Stayed here as our first stop on our honeymoon and it was a great first hotel. Rooms are VERY small (the one we got) but they do have larger suite style rooms. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful - we were lucky enough to be able to check in a bit early after an overnight flight which we were very grateful for! Pool area is really nice and great after a long day of exploring. They have free parking if you are renting a car. Hotel is a bit out of the way from many other more tourist hotels but we found the location to be good. Would recommend.
