We had a lively stay here. Amenities were great. Room we stayed has a washing machine and a dryer, a convection microwave, very handy, water pressure was amazing!! Comfy bed, spacious room. Located close to shopping, the site is a secure site, a decent amount of takeaway places around.

Happy with this - nice reception and restaurant , big clean and warm room, big bathroom. We were in the Palms side. Slightly dated? But everything working and a nice bed. Cost $180 per night, so not what I would call cheap, but we were a late booking on an exceptionally busy weekend in town so that might not be fair. Continental breakfast included is really average and boring but will feed you, the cooked for coming out looked pretty good. Friendly staff. Will use again and do recommend.

The 2 bedroom cabin I booked was very new and clean. The kitchen had a stove, microwave oven, refridgerator and all cookinv and cleaning utensils. The beds were large and comfortable but blankets provided were not very warm for winter weather. We left the air conditioner on all night. The bathroom was designed for disabled access but there were no towel racks or hooks for hanging clothes. Location was on the main highway and a few minutes drive from a large shopping centre. Booked Ellen Hotel on trip from Coober Pedy to Adelaide, wanted somewhere nice to stay after a run of questionable outback motels. I booked a Luxury Suite, the photos looked stunning but in reality it was an internal room with no windows to outside. Only windows are to the adjoining Luxury Suite with a glass fishbowl lounge area where everyone can look in. I wouldn’t of minded as much if the didn’t interrogate me around the credit card for payment. I had 4 interactions all within the first 2hrs Rolf arriving. I’d just driving 6hrs and was tired to have Payment of room be queried, I booked and paid via my Qantas Holiday app - who then pay the hotel. After I check in, I got a phone call to return to reception - where the man said the credit card declined. I told him I prepaid - showed bank statement and confirmation emails but since the Ellen Hotel confirmation email said payment outstanding he made me feel like I was trying to defraud them - even wanted a different credit card, as he charged in EFTPOS machine the one on file in front of me to show me it was declined - it was very awkward and made me feel he would charge my guarantee card I provided. Having worked in hotels myself for many years, I asked him if he had contacted Qantas to confirm payment whereby my last interaction was that a virtual credit had been provided and could only be charged on checkout date - it seems like education is lacking all round. I can’t fault the room, and the internal decor - it was immaculate, bathroom was stunning with steam shower but no external windows. Incredibly clean (apart from some wear and tear with roof peeling from steam shower and bottle marks on tiles) The place was a motel that they’ve fully revamped and hats off to the owners that did this for the industrial town. It would probably be a great getaway location - and for my first time in Port Pirie I wouldn’t return over my check-in experience.

PPengguna TetamuWasn’t expecting too much for Port Augusta though was pleasantly surprised staying here overnight. A hotel doesn’t have to be 5 star to be enjoyable and comfortable. Sometimes it’s the little things that sets it apart . This is a central hotel on the main highway but there is very little road noise when inside the room. It’s very neat, tidy, and clean. Reception was efficient, helpful and friendly. The pictures online make it look dated. It’s not new, but it has been well maintained. What I noticed was that management have gone above and beyond so many other hotels even up to 5 star level, by implementing small improvements that make a difference. Might not be important to some but I valued the room dimmer light switches and the power points with inbuilt usb charging. So good to be able to turn on a dimmed light at night. Love how the block out curtains, actually close properly. Nice features that are rare. The complimentary continental breakfast was thoughtful. Selections are offered when you check in and can be taken back to your room to enjoy in the morning. Toast and cereal, more than adequate. Huge comfortable bed and nice flowing shower. No restaurant but next door is a good take out and across the road a Foodland. Phoning direct may well get you a better price than booking online. Would definitely stay again.

Nice and quiet in regards to traffic which is what we wanted. The room was large and comfortable and suited us well. There is a nice big restaurant on site although we didn't try it - will next time. A short drive to shops etc.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed in one of the studio cabins. Booking process was easy online and we arrived to very friendly reception. We were really refreshed to feel the cool air conditioning on arrival in the cabin, it had been turn on for us. This was most welcome. The cabin is easily the best we've stayed in during our travels. It had a SPA!! The kitchen was well equipped and the living area and bedroom were separate. Bed was most comfortable and the caravan park is very quiet. I highly recommend this park - great value for money and a lovely cabin.

PPengguna TetamuOkay I rang on the move on a Friday afternoon so limited places left in town - the room I was looking at went while in the process of booking so took the next one up. Plenty of room and clean if a little weather-beaten on the edges, some noise from pool pump or aircon outside. Also could hear people next-door and carpark movements, however it was far enough away from the road to avoid traffic. Probably the location is the best thing going for it - inlet is only a few yards away, is a pub or cafe close at hand for drinks and food, and easy o get back on the main road. No glasses for a drink and the pillow selection was limited, but note that these are available from reception - didn't see the option until too late. Little bit on the dear side i have to say - if the cost was shared over 4 people would be good value. Stayed in worse outfits.

E able to travel with my fur kids knowing they are welcome in the motel. Loads of places to walk the fur kids, on leash due to being on the main road. Highly recommended
