Hotel berhampiran Murugan Temple, Port Blair

The only good thing about the property is that it is near to the airport....around 3-4 Km. The property seems to be run like a family owned business. The same person handles bookings, reception, restaurant and other services....Mr Nitin. While making room booking online, the room details mentioned was an extra-large double bed (181-210 cm wide). However none of the rooms had even a King size bed (only queen sized beds were available). To top it all, the manager tried to brush it off as to why we are concerned about the size of bed and that ”bed size is not such a big deal”! There were cockroaches in the rooms. Noise was a constant issue; in fact my child got scared with the sudden whirring of the water motor running at around 11pm in the night. The saddest part is that a lot of things mentioned online like sound-proofing, king size/extra large beds are not actually true; customers depend on the details mentioned online for true services onsite. Housekeeping was not up to the mark. The less said about the breakfast the better. On one day, there was just cold noodles and tea for breakfast; the other day I did not bother to have breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We could hear disgruntled voices of other guests as well. The smooth talking from the manager did not help as no ground efforts to improve any services was made. In fact Mr Nitin offered to reduce the charges if we cancelled our online booking made through *********** which I flatly refused. After that he was really rude with us. For the first time we felt let down on a stay booking made online.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel.The rooms are spacious and very clean. The location is perfect with a private beach nearby. The hotel staff were very kind and helped us to plan our itenary there. They told us the local spots which normally is not known to tourists. The restaurant ambience was good and the taste was wonderful. You have to try the tandoor varieties and the seafood menu, it is their speciality.

Enjoyed the forest like experience at Palm Grove Eco Resort. We stayed in the Eco-standard rooms and Canal rooms, and both were equally comfortable. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Food is good, though expensive. Friendly and courteous staff. Overall a nice experience

The booking was done on 23. 11. 2022 for 2 nights stay on 25th and 26th february 2023 and 1 night stay on 2. 3. 2023. As makemytrip did not pass on the booking, we had experienced embarrassment and difficulties and wasted lot of time sitting at the reception. Finally, 1 night stay was allowed and with the help of mm t the hotel arranged our 2nd night stay at another hotel where also we had to wait for more than 2 hours for check in. Overall our stay at the hotel was excellent and we liked the food. The location was also good.
