The Resort atmosphere was breathtaking and the personnel delivered an outstanding consistent service, especially Mr Arvin. He was also very quick and efficient through the email confirmation a day before the dinner. Since a week before, I was trying to book through Messenger like last time with the social media manger(Chris) who delivered effectively my needs and request for a set menu, but this time, the person who texted back mentioned that they are currently running Punjabi menu instead of Singaporean Menu which I knew. Even though, I decided to go with the Indian menu, requested with some changes but he/she said I was welcome but not guarantee. I was not pleased at all and understood that was not the same service I received in February. As it was meant for us to be there on that particular date, a day before I decide to call directly and to my surprise, I got to speak to the amazing Chef Prakash directly. And with a bright and humble energy, he took my requests. You can smell 5* culture from a distance. The food was so delicious and service was 5*. Mr. Arvin took good care of us and the African girl was very kind. We had a great time. Recommendation: Existing staff understand the hospitality culture better and they can upgrade to management level through proper guidance of further academic knowledge and empowerment to avoid staff turnover. New comers lack of genuine culture. Thank you Mr Arvin, Chef Prakash and Team.

Prices of hotels in Mauritius can be high, especially those to the coast. Palms Horel offered a quite good solution in Quatre Bornes: it’s affordable (about 60 EUR a night) and not that far from more touristic places (about 30 min drive to the Capital, Port Louis, or the beaches of Flic en Flac). We were there for a 1-week business meeting. Facilities were very good. And any issues (happened) were very quickly solved by the staff …the staff (all, from the reception desk to the hotel manager) is definitely the key of Palms. Incredibly nice and helpful. The lady managing the meeting room area (and the coffee breaks) is a gem. The man and lady keeping the bar, the ladies in the restaurant and those at the reception were so nice. The Hotel staff was so helpful to accommodate on short notice for our Muslim colleagues who started the fasting of Ramadan during the meeting). And all issues linked to payment supposed to be done in advance (meeting room, 17 bedrooms) were dealt with in full confidence when on site! Thank you for that Ms Manager! The location of the hotel was so perfect, it was in a quiet and lovely neighbourhood. The stuffs were so helpfull and friendly. They helped us immediately, whenever we needed something. The breakfast was so good, the fruits were always fresh. The bed was so comfortable and our room had a nice view of the ocean. If we come to Mauritius ever again, it's for sure that we will stay in that hotel.

We spent eight nights at the Coral Azur. I highly recommend the hotel. Below are the specifics. We arranged transportation to/from the airport with the hotel. We had five adults. The total round-trip cost per person was ~$40 USD. It was efficient and easy. The rides to/from the hotel took just under an hour. All communication with the hotel was efficient. We arrived at the hotel around 9:30 PM. The check-in staff allowed us to eat off the buffet (closed at 10 PM) for no charge. We did not ask to eat or say we were hungry. They just said, “Help yourself.” In all of our travels, this was a first! Check-in was relatively easy. Rooms are standard size with a balcony. I think all rooms have an ocean view, which is a nice perk. Also, one can view the excellent sunsets from the balcony. Our room had a fridge, safe, good shower pressure with hot water, and toilets that flushed without problem. The pool area was nice, with plenty of chairs. The hotel has nightly entertainment. The breakfast buffet was good, with a large selection and everything one would want for breakfast, including mimosas! Breakfast and dinner, if one chooses to eat at the hotel, are in an open-air restaurant. To minimize the impact of birds, the staff provides bread outside of the restaurant. It works reasonably well but not 100%. Be prepared for birds flying around during meals. There are plenty of taxis available outside the hotel. We negotiated service with one taxi driver for the week. They took our family to town for shopping, etc. We also used them for a ride to dinner every evening. The area has several nice restaurants, but very few are within walking distance. It was more cost-effective to eat out than at the hotel. She goes over the top to make everyone feel welcome. In the morning, during breakfast, she visits every table and tries to learn about all the guests. She and I had lunch together. Hearing her story was excellent!

Small family orientated hotel. Perfect location. 5 minutes walk to a shopping mall and 10 minutes to the beach. Friendly staff who are very helpful. The rooms are cleaned most days to a high standard. Our room , more like an apartment. had an en-suite, kitchenette with cooking facilities, sofa, TV, dining table, and fridge, and a balcony with table and chairs. Lovely small pool with plenty of sun loungers . Perfect for small families and couples. We would love to stay there again.

A new and modern beautiful hotel. Lots to do and some great food to eat. Service needs to improve for a 5 star hotel but the management are very accommodating/addressing any issues raised. The Bissou bar is a standout for me and my wife with unbelievable service by Olivier.
