Best Western Port St. Lucie

Jerry was pleasant at check in, the establishment has “older bones”, but the room was well situated with all the comforts of home, good water pressure, and the bed was super comfy! I would stay here again.

Every table in the seated area of our room was not cleaned at all, a sticky substance on one of them. Lucky I always carry lysol wipes. The tv in that area was not working, one of the queen beds had an uncomfortable or old mattress. Although everywhere outside of the rooms was literally outside, they allowed smoking by the jacuzzi and pool so even without using them my kids and I would have to walk past smoke to get to our room!

Unfortunately, staying at this hotel was not one of my better experiences with Choice Hotels. I called to ask if I could check in early, as my travel plans had me getting there dinner than I expected. The man answering the phone said “sure, no problem” When I got there they checked me into a3rd floor room (rather than 1st floor, as I had requested) because they said they had been full the night before and were still cleaning, but no worries-there’s an elevator. Getting the luggage trolley through the narrow door and down the (outdoor) narrow hallway to the elevator was quite the feat, and then to the back of the hotel to the farthest corner to a room facing the parking lot. I am a Platinum member and I had really hoped for better, so I went back downstairs to ask for a different room (possibly with a view of the pool - that was on my original reservation request) and was given a room closer to the elevator with much easier access to stairs and also the part of the parking lot - where I should have been directed to park for either room! Got settled in, only to realize that on one of the shelves was a half smoked joint, with other drug paraphernalia. Annoyed considering it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but that also housekeeping didn’t remove it. The rest of the stay was fine, although I was a bit disappointed in the water pressure. The shower was little more than a drizzle, and I had to work pretty hard at juggling the handle so the toilet would flush.

The room did not have sheets for the sofa bed. I called the front desk and I have to go all the way to the reception area to get them. When I got to the room they were stained…

It was a dated motel, not a hotel as expected and it reeked of cigarette smoke.

The room was supposed to be non smoking, however it smelled like smoke in the room

Great assistance from the front desk gentleman I forgot your name so sorry he was on Night Shift and morning the next day. Very helpful and courteous to assist with the lady minute changes we had to our reservation. Great upgrades from before COVID will be staying again.

From the receptionists welcoming you to the hotel to conversations with the cleaning team and the kitchen lady. I highly recommend it.

Large room with a couch and a desk for an amazing price. Fantastic pool! Front desk staff were wonderful.
