Probably one of the swishest gaffs on the island. Decent buffet breakfast...nicely appointed rooms...quiet and away from everything. Shame the lagoon is so polluted (not (exclusively) this hotel's fault to be fair) that no one can swim in it. Good Sports bar.

Ramada is a gorgeous resort, the rooms are fabulous and the beds are comfy. Shower is generous and the Lagoon rooms have a wonderful view of the pool and restaurant. Unfortunately, we chose a very wet week in Vanuatu which dampened the trip a little but can't fault the resort and the closing down of Air Vanuatu made it very quiet. The people are lovely - you just have to get used to the slow pace of the staff particularly in the restaurant. The slow pace in Vanuatu is prevalent and no-one hurries so just a case of getting used to it. Sometimes you have to ask twice and memory not the best, but it's their way of life. The resort is a few kms out of town so either need to get a B van for 150 vat or taxi for 1000 vat. Walk is okay as long as not been raining - dodging potholes and slush. There's a cute buggy to take you from the rooms to reception however some of the lower lagoon villas have slopes which are not great for bad backs. All in all, a great visit which would have been enhanced by more visitors, presumably reduced because of Air Vanaatu's unfortunate demise. Ben, the GM, is Australian and is very engaging, even driving us to the airport. He has obviously adapted to the slower pace.

Arrived early, 1430hrs, check-in advertised as 1500hrs. Check out 1000hrs with no mention of later as our flight was not until afternoon. We were offered a seat in reception area or by pool. No mention of location or how to get there. Were given access to villa just before 1600hrs. No offer of a drink of water or explanation of expected wait time. Two bedroom villa on top floor was very well appointed with a great view. There was a lack of information of how to use items plus no detergent for the dishwasher. The curtains in the rooms had not been ironed, were poorly hung plus one had an area of paint from the recently painted walls. We had reason to lift a seat cushion on the lounge as had dropped a pen, discovered quite a lot of material which had been missed by the cleaner. Generally the cleaning looked good but seemed surface only. The washing machine had been used numerous times since the last clean as displayed by various layers of soap powder spills. There was no information about the resort or available activities. The answer seemed to be to dial '9' for any information. Golf buggy ride to and from restaurant was timely with a very friendly driver. Food was very good. On check out there was no "thank you for staying", no mention of how we liked the stay or "hope to see you again" type farewell. Because of cost, expected better.

We loved our stay at the Ramada – it is a lovely, modern resort. It is very relaxing, with beautiful views across the lagoon. It is walking distance to a supermarket (Au Bon Marche) – and we walked into Vila several times, and caught a bus back. We had a lagoon view suite near to the restaurant and pool. The resort is hilly and paths are steep but the resort buggy dropped up right to our door and always arrived quickly. The room was large, with modern décor, and had a good kitchen and sitting area, as well as a large balcony. Bed was very comfortable. Room was kept spotless. Food was very good. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast a few days and the buffet was good, omelettes were excellent. Dinner in the Akiriki Grill was excellent. We also ate lunch a few times at the Sports Bar and had more than a few drinks in there. The staff were all great, happy and smiling. Special shout out to Peter, Saniki, and Bob the pool guy, as well as all the restaurant staff, and the buggy driver who always had a smile for us. Everyone looked after us very well and we will be back.

Just had a great relaxing week staying at the Ramada. Food is excellent, staff lovely and friendly. Maybe add another half star. Stayed in Logoon suite which has a kitchenette too. Heaps of nearby places to eat when you dont feel like eating here. Local mini buses are EVERYWHERE and in reality are like taxis as they take you to wherever you wish to go. In Port Vila they charge 150V ($2.50 or so).

I had a truly positive experience at this lovely resort. My unit was perfectly situated with a beautiful view and immaculately maintained. The entire resort was tranquil and soothing to the soul. The restaurant food was delicious. I was fortunate to meet the very efficient and charming Mr. Ben Smith who helped me with a problem. He's a great manager. Also, kudos to Nina and Angie who were at reception, always greeting me with a smile. I recommend this place to everyone.

We loved this hotel. Well appointed , quiet rooms with nice views across the water. Front desk was very efficient and helpful. The restaurant was unbelievably good at breakfast and absolutely delicious in the evenings. The bar was also a hit with great cocktails. Shows and live music during dinner were very good and a lot of fun. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.
