The Manager Roger was a terrible and rude person. Another guest and I waited at the front desk around 7PM on 7/21, 2024, but no one was there. 15 minutes later, Roger came with a black face. It seems he had a bad night. I told him we had been waiting long time and he should at least leave a note, saying ”We will be back soon.” Instead of apologizing, he said, ”if you are not happy, go somewhere else.” I was shocked and told him ”No.” He then gave me back my credit card and driver's license and said, ” I am not checking you in. That's it. I am cancelling your reservation.” Can anyone imaging this could happen? Even before I left, He came back and told me the waiting was 13 minutes according to CCTV. I said even we waited for a short time, he should apologize, not getting angry and refuse to check in a guest because he complained. I hope Choice Hotel can review the video recording and take action. I also wonder if race is an issue since I am Asian American.

OMG……do not stay here. Wish there was a no star review option. We booked online, not knowing the area. Quality Inns are a chain of hotels in the UK and are a decent place to stay. This place is APPALLING !! Checked in, and was given room number 135. As soon as you walk into the hotel, there is a real funky smell in the corridor. The smell got worse when we entered the room. We soon found out why ! I went to use the toilet…..and it was completely full of human excrement. Went back to the reception and spoke to the manager, who was extremely unsympathetic to the fact that we had driven 6 hours to get there, and I was busting to use the loo. He offered us another room, but by this time I did not want to risk staying. We demanded a refund and went around the corner to the Marriott…..and a beautiful clean room.
