Although slightly difficult to find (discreet front door), it turned out to be a lovely place. We had a room on the first floor and although we were right in the centre of the old town, it was lovely and quiet in our room although there were only a few guests at the time of staying. Room decorated beautifully and a lovely comfortable bed. w had a large terrace which was cool and airy too. I do agree with one reviewer about the see-through doors. It's slightly off putting when trying to do my makeup and husband is in the loo next to me! The staff are really helpful and arranged bookings for us as well as a taxi from the airport. Breakfast was fine for us but there are plenty of local places if you prefer bed only. Very good locale for getting to all the main sightseeing areas or starting points.

Perfection. Maison Particulière is a jewel in Porto's crown. Elegant and charming with the most attentive staff who were so friendly and helpful. The moment we were greeted at the front door we knew we were going to be staying somewhere special. The interior is filled with antique furniture and the attention to detail is sublime. Our room was spacious and comfortable with all the modern amenities. We chose the one with the inner courtyard which was quiet and private. Breakfast which is included in the room price is tailor made daily to individual preference and is delicious. The hotel fronts onto a small pedestrian square where there are several very good restaurants and further up the street many boutiques. It is perfectly situated for exploring the delights of Porto. Our sincere thanks to the family run team at Maison Particulière for making our four night stay so memorable. We look forward to visiting you again. ❤️

We had a wonderful experience staying at this lovely boutique hotel in the historical area of Porto. The location is within walking distance of a number of sights and attractions. The staff is extremely friendly and always available to assist with any needs. A delicious breakfast, customized to your preferences, is served each morning at the time of your choice in the cozy breakfast area. The hotel had excellent communication prior to the stay and provided great recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area. We booked a room on the top floor of the hotel with a balcony that overlooked the plaza and enjoyed spending nights with a glass of wine listening to the live music below. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning a visit to Porto!

Two couples traveling together found this hotel to be a wonderful option for Porto. The bed, linens, shower were all of high standard. We appreciated the sound-proofing - the location on a pedestrian street might have been loud, but we didn't hear a peep. Made to order breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location was perfect for exploring Porto. We loved our stay at this wonderfully-managed hotel and encourage others to make this choice!

We had 2 nights to see the city of Porto in late September. The weather was beautiful for this time of year. The hotel was central to where we wanted to be. The hotel employees were extremely helpful . The room was very comfortable with a nice view of the area. Would highly recommend.

You go through the front door from a very lively Porto street into an oasis of tranquility to be greeted by very helpful and friendly staff. The balconied room was beautiful and comfortable with very large bed, seating area, shower and WC. Breakfasts sublime with lots of choice. Location superb. Right in old town, about 5 mins walk from river.
