Hotel Lipa

We were staying nearby to this hotel in an Airbnb but we choose to eat in Hotel Lipa for 6 of our 14 nights - the food is undoubtable the best in the town and very good value. We sat outside under the shade of the beautiful tress and ate whilst watching spectacular sunsets. The restaurant looks over gorgeous blue water and a small beach. We particularly want to mention the best waiter - his name was Lazzo or maybe spelt Lazza - he was absolutely great, very polite and professional. He was personable and we were thrilled to see him each time we went. He was new to the hotel this season but he is a real asset. The food is fantastic and delivered fresh and very quickly. I recommend everything on the menu. You must try this restaurant it is great.

This is the best hotell we have ever been to. Sush excellent service, so Nice staff. Magnificent food at the hotell restaurant, very fast staff and always available. The pool was very regresjon as well, the rooms are big, with a beautiful view. So happy about are stay and would deifinitly recommend to family and friends.

We’ve been to the restaurant and cafe of the Lipa hotel for many years and have enjoyed the excellent service, food and most importantly the stunning views. However it is a shame that this seaside town has recently been so excessively developed with a huge hotel and equally enormous neon sign looming above it, spoiling the ambience. Interesting choice of name too. 😂

A totally charming small hotel in a gorgeous village. You can literally cross the (car-free) road from the property and swim from a small beach. The hotel is run by lovely people. There are loads of little coves and villages nearby to explore. The place actually looks better than the pictures suggest! We were very sorry to leave for part 2 of our Croatian holiday which was on the mainland and nowhere near as lovely as this.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic. The breakfast is very good, the room comfortable and clean, and the sea view from the room is spectacular. It's location too is also excellent, with hardly any traffic and noise. The hosts are both friendly, helpful and nothing too much bother, as they make you feel comfortable and welcome. If we were to have any criticism, it would be that the wi-fi is poor, and there is no kettle or tea and coffee facilities in the room, but you can get a hot drink at a charge downstairs. We will definitely return to this hotel again without hesitation Thankyou very much for helping making this holiday superb for us.

Unsere Erwartungen an das Hotel, den Urlaubsort und die Insel wurden übertroffen. Die Insel Braç und der Urlaubsort Postira sind bestens geeignet für einen entschleunigten Urlaub. Postira ist ein kleines Küstenstädtchen mit etwa 1.500 Einwohnern. Es erstreckt sich an der dicht bewaldeten Küste hügelwärts. Das glasklare Meer schimmert oft türkis wie in der Karibik. Läden zum Shoppen findet man nicht, auch nicht die anderswo angepriesen Einladungen zu irgendwelchen Küstenfahrten. Nachtleben findet so gut wie nicht und wenn nur auf den dort ankernden Schiffen statt. Das Hotel Lipa liegt direkt am Hafen, an einer wenig befahrenen (weil für den Durchgangsverkehr gesperrten) Straße hinter einem schmalen Strand. Man kann dort schwimmen, aber es ist nicht ideal wegen der Fischerboote und Yachten. Es gibt (neben dem Strand direkt vorm Hotel) mehrere zum Baden gut geeignete kleine Strände im und nahe am Ort. Zu einer schönen etwas größeren Bucht (Trstena) läuft man eine Dreiviertelstunde. Diese Strände sind Kieselstrände, Badeschuhe sind unerlässlich. Noch einmal etwas weiter findet man eine ebenfalls größere Bucht (Lovrecina) mit einem Sandstrand, aber wenig Liegemöglichkeiten. Es gibt schöne Orte in der Umgebung, die mit Bussen zuverlässig und günstig erreichbar sind, ein Auto haben wir nicht vermisst. Mit dem Bus kann man in einer knapp einstündigen Fahrt nach Bol auf der anderen Seite der Insel fahren, wo es einen vielgerühmten langen Lagunenstrand gibt. Sehr schön, recht touristisch, trotzdem fanden wir es einen schönen Ausflug. Das Hotel ist ein inseltypischer Kubusbau mit gleichschenklichen Dachseiten. Es hat sehr gelungene Proportionen und ist außen und innen sympathisch modern. Es fügt sich, obwohl es größer ist als die umliegenden Häuser, (anders als andere Hotels!) gut in die Silhouette des Ortes ein. Fast alle Zimmer haben Meerblick mit Balkon oder Loggia. Wir hatten eine große geschmackvoll eingerichtete Suite, in keiner Weise piefig. Das Bett ist hervorragend, das Bad hat eine Dusche und Badewanne. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es scheint auch ein gutes Betriebsklima zu herrschen. Das Frühstück wurde von einigen als etwas kärglich bemängelt, wir fanden das nicht. Es war alles da, was wir brauchten und mochten. Jederzeit konnten wir zusätzlich Omelette oder Rühreier haben. Für mich als passionierten Kaffeetrinker war es schön, dass mir der Kaffee schmeckte. Die Karte zur Halbpension umfasst eine Handvoll Vor- und Nachspeisen und etwa ein Dutzend Hauptgerichten, sie wird nicht turnusmäßig gewechselt. Nach einer Woche hatten wir unsere Lieblingsessen durch, haben dann aber auch gerne das eine oder andere noch einmal bestellt. Wir fanden die Speisen sehr gut bis ausgezeichnet, immer schnell und charmant serviert. Die Kellner waren sehr zugewandt und erfüllten auch kleine Extrawünsche gerne.
