Hotel Terbaik dengan Gimnasium di Protaras

As a family we have been going to protaras for about 20 years . We arrived on the 4th May and this was our 2nd time staying at The Constantine Great Beach Hotel and the standard of the housekeeping has declined dramatically compared to our 1st stay. This hotel states that it is a 5* hotel but unfortunately if they allow the maid service to continue as it is then they will lose there rating. On several occasions we were having to ask for towels,toilet rolls,tea and coffee and to have the milk replaced in our room.The maids were saying that they had done it but when checking again they hadn’t so having to chase the maids to get them to do there jobs and then being tutted at for asking for the things that they should be doing. We stayed for a week and in that week we didn’t get clean sheets,but they did make the beds. There was a clump of hair on our balcony which stayed there all week so it proved that the maids didn’t sweep or mop the balcony,dirty glasses were left for about 3 days until they removed them,rubbish was left on the balcony nearly all week . The final straw was when I went to use the UHT milk that they leave in your room for a cup of coffee . When I opened the milk it had gone hard and mouldy so I went to the reception to complain and make them aware of this. I had also filled out one of there questionnaire which I had pointed a few things out to them. The final straw came when I asked if I could have my money back for the late check out fee which was 30 euros because of the things that I had complained about. The front of house manger Maria said that she would ask the hotel manger. After leaving it for about an hour or so I went back to the reception to find out what the manger had said ,Maria said that he had said no which I replied was not good enough because of all the things that I had complained about,the next thing that Maria said to me was uncalled for and very very rude she told me that the next time I visited cyprus was to go and stay at the illiada hotel as though I wouldn’t be welcomed at the Constantinos , I replied to her by saying how rude she was and how dare she talk to me like that as I was a paying guest. I found the hotel manger and explained what had happened and he said he was going to sort it. If you are thinking of staying there and are expecting a 5* hotel expect to be disappointed as in my experience it is bearly reaching a 3* hotel and will continue to decline if they don’t sort out there housekeeping staff.

This is a very good middle class hotel. It has a five star rating and has five star facilities such as spa etc. but it is not a luxury hotel . You need to have the right expectations when you come here and if you do its fantastic. Rooms and general areas are clean, service is excellent with the exception of a rude staffmember at the reception. The garden and pools are very good as is the location on a fantastic beach. We were halfboard and are vegetarians. We hade dinner two times at the buffe. One night with good vegetarian options but the second night poor. The other five nights we went to the different alcartes that are included. Good for vegetarians, marcellos, lemongrass and reef. Not so good the brasilian and the greek. The brasilian and greek both have vegetarian options but they were hardly eatable. In the brasilian we had a good red curry base but then they had unseasoned silken tofu as the protein. Silken tofu is not intended for this use and it just fell apart. The greek we had dolmadas and they were terrible. Tasteless. The starters were good though. Breakfast was a little limited but had everything you need. Fresh orange juice and coffe served at the table. My daughter was even able to get a soya milk ice latte in the morning. I asked for low fat youghurt and they ordered it for me especially for the rest of the week. The resturant staff is extremely service minded. I can recommend this hotel. It is a little worn and I missed the little touches such as candles and flowers on the table at dinner. They also need to improve the cleaning of the rooms. The regular surfaces were very clean but I can see that the skirting boards and walls had not been cleaned for a while. Also the carpets outside the rooms are a bit stained. If not for this I would rate this hotel five. Protaras is notvreally an upscale resort but the beach is lovely. And you can hike along the coast. We were here Och 29- Nov 5. The weather was perfect and pools and sea warm. A lot of people here at the beginning of the week and lots of people but by the end of the week a places started shutting down. Still enough resturants and bars open though for a nice holiday. Lots of stray cats around but no dogs. You can help out by buying cat food and feed a few of them. Other places we went had lots of stray dogs and that really hurts me to see. I donated to a dog shelter to do something.

An excellent stay at all aspects. Tasty food ,really great service, clean hotel. Late checkout for free and writing now enjoying my tea with the best view from my room balcony. Definitely coming back!

First time in this hotel, it’s a new construction. I know the area well and decided a new venue was needed and this was it. Hotel is clean and sharp, rooms are very comfortable with a super air conditioning unit included. Bathrooms are all you need with a walk in shower with multiple outlets, wash basin and Wc. Towels are complimentary and changed everyday ( think the housekeeping fairies are daily too ‍♂️). Exterior pool is 1.4 metres end to end depth and roughly 15/20 metres length by 4/5 metre wide ( no I didn’t measure it’s a rough size). Warm water too. Rinse off showers are also outside. A heads up though the tiles get extremely hot during the day so have your sandals close by and they are also slippery so take your time and no running. Hospitality is super all the staff were warm and friendly even when some of the hotels guests were not! The bar are is relaxed and of course Greek measures! Well I wouldn’t settle for less , food is in abundance but I would say slightly limited from a larger hotel but all good. I did notice that the hotel has a metal shallow ramp into its entrance plus the same going out to the pool area so if you are a wheelchair user your covered. I did see a Wc suite in the basement which was kitted out with grab handles etc like Uk standard. ( don’t know if they cater for a wheelchair user suite?) The basement Wc is accessible via a lift in the hotel reception ( this will also take you to upper levels. I noticed that there was no hoist or lift aid to get in or out of the pool. I had a front/ Mountain View room and although the ***** is lively it did quiet down around 1230 and it didn’t impair my sleep. Balcony was dual aspect ( front and side). There is a Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel where you receive 10 percent discount, plus on top of the hotel is a party cocktail bar with revolving floor, this I enjoyed for its theme, novelty, and it gave me a high vantage point for photos etc, again a discount is given if staying in the plaza. The main bus stop is right outside the hotel which is a bonus! It’s a thumbs up from me

We have been coming to this hotel since the year it opened sometimes twice a year and the quality is still as excellent as the day it opened . The staff and I mean all the staff are just wonderful always smiling and so friendly and professional just wanting to make sure everyone is having their best holiday . The quality of the food and drinks is what you would get in a top class restaurant but you feel so comfortable as there is never a scramble or a rush for a table. The cleanliness of the hotel bedrooms reception bar outside seating area swimming pool all of these areas are spotless . Each year it seems as though once someone has stayed here they become regulars and friends . A big thank you to Nikos Tryfonas and every member of staff for making our holiday so special again. We visited 24/7 /24 for 2 weeks. On arrival we were greeted with a nice cold fresh lemon drink and check in was swift , our luggage taken to our room and staff were very pleasant. The room was spacious and immaculate, the mini bar was stocked with drinks and a sandwich , just water was replenished daily which was a nice touch , fridge wasn’t very cold but we think when you leave the room the electricity goes off so this explains it. Lots of storage space but bring coat hangers if you want to hang everything up as I do so I always pack extra. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice from fresh omelettes, poached,fried eggs , sausage, bacon ,beans also fresh fruit yoghurts and the most delicious fresh pastries, toast machine was as toast machines always are in hotels and this area could get a little congested at busy times. Evening meals were delicious nicest buffet food I’ve eaten on a half board basis. We also ate at the Reef restaurant where you get 3 courses and the Fusion where you get 20 euros to spend per person both excellent and the burgers in Reef were huge. The pool area was stunning, both pools were beautiful and being able to reserve sunbeds is a genius idea, all hotels need to do this. The sun does move off the sun beds nearest the hotel after lunch so if your sun worshippers like us choose the grass area and you can also look out to sea which is beautiful. You can order drinks and food to your sun loungers via a QR code or sit at the bar and have a cooling drink. We did have rather a lot of smokers around us whilst sunbathing, this obviously isn’t the hotels fault but maybe have a designated area because it can be quite unpleasant as non smokers. The bays outside the hotel are beautiful and clear and great for snorkelling, we saw a turtle twice whilst we were there. There was a singer on a couple of times during our visit , it was nice to have a bit of atmosphere at night as it was very quiet other nights. Protaras on the other hand is not quiet at all, if you like tribute acts this is the place for you. It was about a 20 minute walk along a well lit path all the way into the centre or a bit shorter if you walked the road way. This hotel does not disappoint, it is immaculate and the staff are exceptional If we return to Protaras I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
