My mother and I booked a room the day before and drove from Lucca to Arezzo. We ate dinner at the hotel and also had breakfast the following morning. Both were buffets and had a great selection. I was very impressed with the wait staff - they were so attentive and nice to all the diners. The front desk personnel were helpful and friendly as well. We booked a standard room with 2 beds and it was fine. The shower was great. Everything was clean and comfortable. Also, the hotel was easy to find (not always the case in Italy)

Stayed at the Minerva as part of a Riveria tour. A nice hotel on the outskirts of Arezzo (about a 20 minute walk to the gates of the town or take a bus). Clean rooms, helpful staff, a good breakfast, plenty of parking - and if you have never been to Arezzo, a delightful historic town well worth a visit. We stayed four nights.

Algemene indruk Als je richting het hotel rijdt is de ondergrond de laatste kilometer onverhard. Je komt aan bij de ingang richting het restaurant, 1 inrit verder is de opgang van het hotel. Een mooie statige oprit met een gezellig landhuis verwelkomt je. Het ziet er rustiek en aantrekkelijk uit. In het landhuis zijn kamers gesitueerd, ligt het hotel, de receptie en een overdekte binnenplaats. De receptie ligt in het midden van het gebouw en is klein. Naast de receptie ligt het restaurant, waar je ook je ontbijt nuttigt. Personeel Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk. De meesten spreken Engels en ze zijn hulpvaardig je een prettig verblijf te geven. Kamer Onze kamer lag aan de achterzijde om de hoek van het gebouw. Het is een laag gebouw, waar 2 afzonderlijke kamers in zijn gecreëerd. In de kamer (zeg maar ruimte van beneden en boven, waar de slaapkamer is gelegen) is het erg donker. Alleen 6 kleine ramen van de openslaande deuren naar de veranda geven je kamer natuurlijk ligt. Beneden is er een soort woonkamer gemaakt met een bank en tv. Dit vond ik behoorlijk sfeerloos. Je gaat vervolgens met een stalen trap naar de vide. Daar staat het bed en de kledingkasten. De locatie van deze kledingkasten vond ik niet handig, want je moet je kleding naar boven slepen. Onder de trap is een kleine wasbak en kookstel gemonteerd. Er zijn borden en bestek en een koelkast. Je kunt dus nog iets voor jezelf klaarmaken. De kraan moet echter worden vastgezet. Bed Het bed vond ik erg tegenvallen. Ik ben zelf 1.93 meter lang en het bed heeft een lengte van 2 meter. Dat was veel te kort voor mij. Ook was het bed smal en de matras niet echt stevig. Ik heb daardoor niet echt lekker kunnen slapen. De badkamer Deze is echt klein en krap. Het toilet spoelt niet echt goed door, dus je moet wel een aantal keren spoelen voor een schone pot. De douche heeft 1 knop, naar rechts en links. In het begin best lastig om de juiste temperatuur te vinden. Als je denkt dat je die hebt gevonden wordt deze al snel veel kouder of warmer. Ook de afwerking en het onderhoud mag hier beter. Terras Direct achter de kamer heb je een veranda (terras). Staan 4 stoelen en een tafel en is overdekt. Bij een kleine regenbui kun je hier droog zitten en bij zon in de schaduw Bij een grote bui waait het water onder de veranda door. Rondom het hotel tref je veel rust, grasvelden en voldoende parkeergegevenheid. Het zwembad Toen wij aankwamen waren ze kennelijk nog niet ingericht om al het comfort te geven zoals beschreven in de omschrijving. Het had dagen daarvoor geregend en het zwembadwater was zo groen als gras. Je kon er dus niet in zwemmen. Niet dat ik direct daar gebruik van wilde maken, maar toch wel een dikke min als je niet kunt zorgen dat het zwembad in het seizoen niet te gebruiken is. Ook de airco in de kamer was nog niet aangesloten en de verwarming in de badkamer stond roodgloeiend. Omdat de temperaturen boven de 20 graden lagen hebben wij gevraagd om de airco aan te sluiten.

The hotel was traditional and beautiful. Cortona is a 30 minute steep walk but so worth it. i would book wine tasting at Il Falcionieri it was truly stunning. Definitely advise hiring a car as taxi's are sp**** and the train station is a 30 minute walk along a busy road. the staff were amazing and even drove us to the bus station at 6:45am in order for us to get to the airport in time. I highly recommend!

What a great place to stay!!! Close to the centre of Cortona! Staff were amazing and so helpful! I also felt very safe! As a family male solo traveller this is so important! As this is a 16th Century old building, this place was well kept and managed! Highly recommend for anyone. ☺️

PPengguna TetamuNot much to stay that hasn’t already been said about this property. It’s just a great as everyone has raved about. The service, the country side location, the history, the beautifully restored and maintained property all make for marvelous stay and experience. Since this is 5 stay property the one thing I would add is a couple notes to improve: they should be more vigilant about windows and bugs in the rooms, the doors should be updated since they are quite cumbersome to use due to their age and the ability to lock someone inside the room from the outside, and finally the rug in my room was not in best shape in probably needs to be replaced. Would definitely recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

PPengguna TetamuThis accommodation was a welcome surprise with its very picturesque buildings and grounds. We were very comfortable in our cute 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The manager gives you a brief rundown on the electronic gates and rooms. They are beautifully scented with Tuscan oils. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom had soft towels with plenty of hot water with gorgeous Tuscan shampoo and shower oils. The kitchen was adequate for basic cooking. However, remember there are no supplies other than 2 coffee pods, a few tea bags, and one complimentary bottle of water. We swam in the pool, which was cool but very clean. They supply a pool towel each. Suggestions we think would have made our stay even better: 1. A compendium in the room explaining the heating / cooling systems. Also, there is no information regarding key drop-off if you leave early and the gate is locked. We had to climb the gate. Despite the manager giving you a number to message, the reply is not instantaneous, and all this can be covered in an information booklet. It's a very easy fix 2. A dish rack that you could sit over the stove top and drained back into the sink (nowhere to put washed dishes as stove top right next to sink) 3. Spare tea-towels (only 1 provided for 3 days) 4. Given that there are no washing facilities (that we knew of), more than 1 bath towel would have been nice!

PPengguna TetamuThe San Luca is obviously a popular hotel in Cortona and for a reason. Built into the hillside, it is right at the start of the town’s main walking street and basically all its rooms offer amazing views, including the lower situated rooms. The rooms are simple but elegant and the bed sheets are really great quality. The breakfast room also has great views as well as a good variety, including many savoury items. The only area where the place could improve is the reception where especially the younger staff lacks some hospitality skills. They should definitely explain the unusual set up of the hotel as the reception is the first level and the one below is the second, then the third. Given that this is Tuscany, the San Luca is not a cheap hotel but for a gym with a view, it might very well be worth the splash.

Colazione ottima,con tante torte e cornetti,ottima anche la parte salata,abbondante e varia,camerieri super gentili e disponibili.
Non mi è piaciuta la pulizia nei corridoi delle camere,moquette sporca e macchiata,camera grande,ma non c'è un armadio,viene lasciato tutto a vista.I sanitari quadrati sono scomodissimi,soprattutto il bidet,non c'è presenza in camera di altra coperta e neanche di cuscini aggiuntivi,come al solito quelli presenti sono sottilissimi,in compenso il letto era comodissimo,non era presente una presa accanto a un lato del letto e nel nostro bagno c'era la vasca,molto scomoda.
Pagare 4€ una bottiglia di acqua al bar è un furto.
Nel complesso 4* da rivedere.

Upon arrival, an elevator that could not accommodate two people with two hand luggage. one had to climb the stairs. four floors!!! then a not very friendly attendant. and finally, the frustration of a bathtub that, like the elevator, barely accommodated two people. When booking, they should ask if the person was a little older, it was not advisable to book this room. We booked because it was a more romantic room, but it shouldn't be sold as a double room. the beds were twins with a space in the middle where you couldn't sleep together. It was impeccably clean, but the building's plumbing was very old, the shower was full of water and the bathtub leaked water throughout the room. the location was great and the breakfast lady on the day of checkout was extremely polite and kind. The receptionist on the first day left something to be desired…
