Hotel berhampiran Antic forn de pa, Province of Lleida

What a find! Our second night stop over on the way to SE Spain. Managed to arrive mid-afternoon as such had a light lunch and a few drinks pool side. The pool is substantial and one can properly swim in what is a safe environment as 'life-guard' on duty. The hotel provides plenty of choice of where to eat on-site, café bar or restaurant. The café bar is very pleasant and chilled, this is where we ate. Everything was competively priced both drinks and food. The bedrooms, were clean & well presented. Excellent walk-in shower in the en-suite. The view from the pool side is across the lake & onto the mountains, picturesque. The bedrooms facing the pool have great views of the lake & area. In high season their is plenty of activities such as canoeing, water pedal cycles , boat hire etc all available adjacent to the hotel. Breakfast was presented via a menu, ranges from continental to cooked. I would recommend the omelets. Parking is on-site in a large open area adjacent to the hotel and I understand paid parking is available for secure underground parking. Overall , a tremendous hotel we had a great stay and given the location would try and have an extra night in order to take in the scenery and enjoy more time in the pool next time!

La habitación aceptable, pero la sorpresa viene después. Reservé en abril, y en pricipio pagué al momento. Me salía que todo okey. Llegue al alojamiento y pregunté si faltaba algo. Me dijeron qud todo okey. 1 mes después, recibo un extracto del banco de casi 200€ y nosabia de que. Total, bloqueé mi tarjeta. Días despues se ponen en co tacto conmigo desde el hotel, dicie do que no he pagado, que mi tarjeta era fraudulenta. Total, el gasto de 200e era de ellos, que me cobraron 3meses después. Se ve que me habian ”bloqueado ” el dinero en lugar de descontarmelo. Pongo en conocimiento esto a la directora y, después de varios correos, finalmente me ofrece un misero descuento de el 10%. Yo estube sin tarjetas 2 semanas, pero ella solo me ofrece un 10% de desciento. Fatal. No recomendo este hotel.

Fuimos a una competición sub 16 de atletismo y nos encantó el hotel al 100%. Personal súper amable, todo nuevo y en perfecto estado de limpieza, habitaciones grandes y modernas, desayuno súper completo y variado por solo 8 euros. Precio bastante asequible. Volveremos seguro.

This hotel was an unexpected surprise! Located in a lovely little village surrounded by mountains, it has a very cosy feel from the moment you roll into the car park. Staff were very welcoming and efficient at checking us in and allocating our room. The room was quite large with a very ample en-suite bathroom and a big comfy bed. There is nothing to not like about this hotel, I can just imagine being holed up here in mid-winter enjoying the excellent food and cosiness of the hotel. If I had to be nit-picky the only points I can think to add is that I couldn't get the air-con to work and the room was quite warm. The bathroom, while lovely, has lethally slippery tiled floors when wet, so be careful when leaving the shower! Would love to return here one day and take in more of the hotel and the surrounding areas.

The location of the property is excellent and an easy 10 minute walk into Vielha with plenty of parking. It is an old fashioned property and the outside could be tidied up, it does look a little depressing but the style of the building doesn’t really help. Inside reception is airy and modern and check in was quick and easy. Lifts are available to all floors. The aesthetics elsewhere are very dated and are worn, for example the corridor carpets are threadbare in places. The bar area though is airy, light and comfortable, as was the dining room. These remained largely empty though and as such there is no ambience or atmosphere, but this isn’t the hotels fault if they are not used. Outside and terrace and pool was a nice addition as we had fantastic weather. The room was relatively small and quite dark (because of the style building) but it was perfectly adequate and we had a fairly comfortable three days. The bathroom was perfectly acceptable also and the shower was good, albeit make sure the shower curtain is in and fully across. The bathroom hairdryer was slightly melted which was a little concerning so I didn’t use this. The other improvement definitely needed was the towels as they were thin and rather frayed round the edges in places but the toiletries included were really good. The room cleanliness could have been slightly improved, only in that there were cobwebs in the bathroom and dust over the floor under the desk, but otherwise the housekeeping was fine. We had breakfast one day and I felt it very good value for 12€. The drinks in the bar were very reasonably priced and Mario was lovely! The staff we encountered were all friendly. There was a steamer iron available at reception but there is no kettle in the room which could be a big improvement and is a facility I would definitely expect to have available in a stated four star property. Overall, yes this property is dated and rough around the edges; I would not agree it reaches the four star standard however for the price we paid I didn’t feel it unreasonable and for our needs on this occasion it worked fine so providing you want just a pit stop and are getting out and about you’ll be fine but don’t expect luxurious surroundings or facilities. A reasonable budget accommodation is how I would summarise this hotel, but we had a perfectly pleasant stay.

This is probably my favourite Parador hotel, perhaps my favourite hotel period. With fantastic views, great rooms, a spa and really good food (breakfast and dinner!). But it's not just that. The staff are brilliant, not just the receptionists, but everyone from the cleaners and maids, to the waiters and everyone else who works there.
