Hotel berhampiran Civico Museo della Guerra per la Pace Diego de Henriquez, Trieste

We went for my partners birthday night away. By far the most beautiful hotel I have stayed in around the world. Almost more of a museum than a hotel! Historic King Room was lovely. Reception staff and spa staff were super, breakfast staff could have paid more attention to us, we felt rather ignored.

We stayed four nights in The Modernist Hotel in mid October. The location was an easy 20 minute walk from the main train station and centrally located between the water and two interesting neighborhoods. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pleasant and satisfying. I am very sensitive to noise and was bothered by the busy street below. This is very individual. I grew up in New York City and the location would be quiet by NYC standards.

The hotel is located in the heart of Trieste. Very nice and calm location with elegent interior and kind staff. The room was very clean and spacious, it was cleaned every day. The room temperature was convenient and the air conditioning was not noisy. The breakfast is a fully served one. The concept is nice and we started to like it very much at the end of our vacation. The food was tasty, but the selection was not very large, particularly if you have some dietary restrictions. After a couple of days, you can get bored of the selection.

So glad I stayed here. It’s amazing inside and the staff (well most of them) are lovely too! Arrived during a national train strike so was stressed and just grateful to have arrived. My check in was great, the guy was friendly and informative. Escorted me to my room which was modern and he showed me how everything worked. Only thing I was disappointed in is there are no safes in the room - that can be so easily rectified. Didn’t have breakfast but I did bring a friend back for a drink in the evening only to be met by a miserable member of staff who so did not want to serve us drinks and when we insisted he made the cocktail with one small piece of ice! When I asked for more he gave me another small piece! Ridiculous! We weren’t the only ones to receive his misery! A group of 4/5 came in after us and were told they could take the drinks to their room! They were just as surprised as us with his rudeness. Anyway I haven’t detracted any points from this review because I spoke with the owner in the morning and she was lovely and apologised profusely. None of it was her doing but she was mortified and assured me she would deal with it which I trust she did. Would definitely return if in Trieste again 👍

Very pleasant stay at the hotel in the centre of Trieste. Receptionist was very feiendly. The room was with external bathroom, but exept walking thru thw corridor, it was spacious with all needed, shower, fan, paper, bide, toilet. The balcony was nice and street oriented. Breakfast was included and fantastic with even vegan options croasant. Elevator is in the building and it made out luggage varring easier ro the first floor. Next time I ll book the same hotel.

В номере было очень жарко. Тк кондиционер маленький и не справляется. А окно нельзя отрыть изза того что шум на улице и много комаров. А в целом чисто и хороший завтрак

Certo un alloggio un po' 'freddo'. Non c'è reception e non si comunica con nessuno, il check funziona in automatico con codice che ti consegnano via email. Gli appartamenti sono bene o male tutti uguali, con cucina (molto utile se si sta + giorni) e alcuni con una stanzetta con divanetto oltre alla camera matrimoniale. Bagno bello, doccia grande, ottima pulizia. In pieno centro.

La posizione della struttura è eccellente, a 2 min dalla stazione dei treni e 10 min dal centro città! Le stanze non sono all'ultimo grido, ma dignitose e con i minimi comfort soddisfatti. L'unica pecca, a mio avviso, è il materasso che l'ho trovato, personalmente, un po' troppo basso e morbido (considerazione soggettiva)! Personale della reception molto cortese e disponibile! Sicuramente ci ritorneremo 😁👌

We were visiting the Slovenian Coast for 5 Nights as a couple with a dog. We opted for a hotel in a more quiet location compared with portoroz - Izola etc.... What a great choice! Firstly, the hotel is beautiful renovated and looks like a new place. All is well and feels new - from the Restaurant, Lobby and the Rooms! (and awesome Salt chambers..) We chose a double room with balcony, which in those hot days were great for the early mornings or later evenings! (plus a big help in drying beach towels and clothes!) The room was nice, safe and mini bar fridge all available. Good shower - and for outdoor 38 degrees heat a perfectly working Air Con!! That's a real bonus! The Food (Breakfast was an enough wide selection) and the Dinner (mixed à la carte & sushi) must be stated was amazingly nice cooked, real top quality chef! if you like to dine out or eat in the evenings out just a 10-minute walk is the Ancaran Townsquare with a handful of nice Bars, Italian, Local Speciality Restaurant and so on. ＞All one needs! But the best ist still straight down from the hotel, the small bar on the beach! - So! - most over all I like to mention the feeling being a few days away from home in this place made us really relaxed and the best of the hotel is the people who work there!! - from the welcome reception team to the bar & restaurant staff and the housekeepers - all were at every time friendly and engaged! Overall, the Owner or Manager of this Hotel should be happy to have exactly this team working there now! They are awesome people with a good sense of hospitality! I would try to keep them! From the hotel you can walk in 3-5 minutes to a nice calm, quiet beach with another nice Restaurant and Bar (directly overlooking the Bay of Ancaran, Koper and so on) which was a lovely scenery!). The water was crystal clean and perfect temperature, and each time coming back to the hotel felt simply nice. Having travelled over 100s of times and stayed in 2-5 star hotels all over - this is definitely a place to go back. You just have to know what you are looking for and what kind of entertainment one wants. If you choose wisely, and you look for a bit more quiet place and not overloaded with people - and good drinks, food etc... than this is your destination! Thank you Team Ortus for the great stay. Para comenzar mi reseña quiero aclarar que soy una estudiante de 21 años, acostumbrada a hacer viajes MUY LOW COST, no suelo elegir hoteles y me conformo con poco. Por otro lado, por circunstancias iba a viajar con una amiga y acabé yendo sola. El desayuno era completo y variado, la repostería estaba muy rica y tienen bebidas vegetales, es lo que más me gustó de mi estancia. Las trabajadoras de recepción me han tratado muy bien. He podido comunicarme en inglés con todas, me han atendido cuando lo he necesitado, son muy profesionales. Cuando pedí comida para llevar la recogieron, me avisaron y me ofrecieron dejarme un tenedor. fue una grata sorpresa que en mi habitación (Habitación doble con vistas parciales al mar), la 111, tuviese dos camas de un ancho de 90 cm juntas. Al reservarlo ponía que la cama tendría un ancho comprendido entre 135 y 150 cm. Las ”amenities” estaban muy bien, a mí me dieron botes de 32 cl de gel, champú y crema corporal, había un dispensador de jabón de manos en el lavabo, gorro de ducha, bastoncillos, lima de uñas y algodón, kit de costura, sobre de jabón de higiene íntima, vasos desechables y un bolígrafo. La calefacción hacía un poco de ruido, aconsejo que si no saben cómo funciona el regulador de temperatura y los distintos botos que hay, pregunten a los trabajadores. Las cortinas no dejaban la habitación en completa oscuridad, así que si sois españoles acostumbrados a las persianas y sois sensibles a la luz, podríais traer un antifaz. El único punto negativo es que cuando haciendo el check out le dije que una bolsa de silicona reutilizable había desaparecido se limitó a disculp**** educadamente, en lugar de ofrecerme una compensación por haber tirado a la basura mi propiedad.
