My wife and I stayed at the Plaza Luna Suites while on a small group trip with Overseas Adventure Travel. Plaza Luna was excellent in every way and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos. The owner, Dalila Vargas, graciously welcomed us and shared the story of the hotel, founded by her mother, as a lodge for the many scientists visiting the island in the time before the Galapagos became a tourist attraction. Ms. Vargas and her wonderful staff ensured that our stay was comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable. The rooms, each named for a phase of the moon, were spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The breakfast food and service were perfect.

Delighlah was a delight. Such a lovely but too short stay. Great breakfast, very comfortable, air conditioned room, great shower. Wish I could have stayed longer. Great central location, right across from the water. Free filtered drinking water.

When we planned our trip, we only knew Plaza Luna was a nice hotel. But from the time we arrived to the time we left, our experience at Plaza Luna was one of the best ever. It is greatly located in the town’s main street close to a great selection of restaurants, stores and it is walking distance to the port. The room was highly comfortable, but most importantly the staff was the best, especially Dalila, who greeted us and made sure we were comfortable and happy with everything. The town is super clean and super safe.

This was a wonderful hotel. Owner grew up here, expanded and upgraded the property in her mother's honor. Each room decorated with love...wall murals painted, nicely decorated. You could just feel the personal care given to each facet of the hotel. Breakfasts were top notch.

We absolutely loved Plaza Luna Suites. Danila and her staff couldn't be kinder and more attentive. Excellent breakfasts on the enchanting terrace overlooking the fishing port, with pelicans and frigate birds swooping overhead, sealions and iguanas in the street below, and finches joining us at the table. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the courtyard beautiful. Plaza Luna has a real family feel. Right on the waterfront and close to all the restaurants and bars.

This place is incredible. The staff is very friendly with great suggestions of places to go. It is safe and in the downtown core right next to the harbor and the main streets. There is lots of shopping and great restaurants. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfy. I would highly recommend this place.

This place was an incredible part of our trip to the Galapagos Islands. The location is stellar, centrally placed on the main road in Puerto Ayora but still quiet enough to get great sleep. But what really makes Plaza Luna exceptional are the personal touches that the owners put on each room. We were immediately greeted by the owner with a refreshing beverage, great conversation, and answers to all the questions about the area we could think of. When we needed to leave for activities in the morning before their breakfast area technically opened, they packed a breakfast for us. Highly recommend!

The hotel is beautiful, and a lovely location right on Charles Darwin Avenue. The owner greeted us personally and told us her families history of the location. The room is beautiful, with lovely ocean breezes, very comfortable bed and a gorgeous shower. The breakfast was not delicious, but beautifully located on the third floor balcony overlooking the ocean.

The owner of the hotel greeted us when we arrived and shared the history of the hotel. This family owned hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served on a roof top patio and was delicious. The location is great. You can walk to the docks, grocery store and restaurants.
