If you want to be pampered, eat delicious food, enjoy tortoises strolling past your window and expert help arranging day trips THIS IS THE PLACE. Gracious surroundings, service provided with love and a smile and better food than we found anywhere in town. Beautiful yoga studio, too!

We loved everything about our stay here. The property was beautiful and the staff was amazing. We really enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We would definitely come back to this property if we were to visit again. Stay here! You won’t be disappointed.

What an amazing place on Santa Cruz! Traveling with 6 and 9 year old kids, the Galapagos presented challenges in finding rooms big enough for our whole family. Semilla Verde was a great base camp for our three days on Santa Cruz. The wonderful team arranged tours, transport and meals for us. Getting around Santa Cruz was easy and inexpensive, and there were plenty of great opportunities to see tortoises, kayak with sea turtles, explore town, and visit the highlands.

We found out immediately that Semilla Verde deserve these ratings! It could not have been better - they are fantastic! With a stunning property full of banana trees, coffee beans, tortoises and more, the landscape was luscious with trails and relaxing spots. We saw tortoises just outside the entrance! Cattya is an extraordinary host. Everything was anticipated. Cabs were ordered and instructions were given so we never had to wonder about a language barrier. Staff was coordinated to refresh our rooms, get our laundry done – all without any special effort from us. Our prearranged tours happened without a hitch. Food was plentiful and beautifully presented. Our gluten free and no dairy requests were handled with ease. It was so easy to settle into our Finch rooms. Beds were comfortable. Drawers and storage space was more than enough. Our patio with hammock was restful with a lovely view. The bathroom was ample with plenty of hot water to shower. The Ecuadorian spirit of hospitality shone through everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Semilla Verde for short or long stays.

My family's experience at Semilla Verde was truly specular. We loved every second of our stay at this magical place. Cattya, as the hotel manager, and her entire staff were wonderful - very kind, helpful, attentive and really amazing cooks. The grounds were beautiful, peaceful too, and sharing the space with the huge tortoises was other-worldly. Cattya and her colleagues helped arrange our tours and transportation during our stay, and every excursion was awesome - and different - and really suited our needs. While the hotel seems great for singles and couples, it was also perfect for our family, and we got to take time exploring the hiking trails on the hotel grounds and cooling off in the pool after our daily adventures. I cannot recommend a stay at Semilla Verde highly enough!

This introduction to the Galacopos and Ecquador was nothing short of amazing. The property was beautiful, accomodations comfortable and lovely, the food was superb and the staff so very accomodating. What a special and welcoming people and place. We particularly appreciated the accomodations to a gluten free diet and the selection of top notch guide and boat tour.

Our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel was exceptional. Having read positive reviews about it, our expectations were high, but they were exceeded in every way. Our room had a magnificent view over a canopy of trees, with the sea in the distance. It was tastefully furnished and large. Breakfasts were delicious and served in an airy, light restaurant- again with lovely views. We took several walks around the spacious grounds during which we saw many tortoises. The trip into town took less than 15 minutes and cost just $7. Cattya was the perfect host and was always on hand to offer suggestions for trips.

Right in the middle of the mountain there is a small place to calm down and to get close to the wonders of nature - there are many big turtles on the property which you can go close to- the rooms are very nice - breakfast and lunch very tasty - bedding super cosy - nice view from the rooms into the garden - interior like a treasure case - absolutely recomandebal

Semilla Verde was our home away from home while we visited the Galapagos islands. From the moment we arrived Isidro was there to welcome us with a smile. Cattya and the ladies at the hotel took care of our every need. The food was delicious and the rooms spacious and the deck with the hammock was perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. Robert was so helpful and booked all of our tours in advance. Also, I can't say enough about our trip to Bartholome Island with Stefanie and the crew of the Sea Finch. We got to see hawks, penguins, sea lions, and every fish imaginable. Stefanie is so knowlegeable and engaging. The hotel is an easy 10-15 from town and we are so happy we stayed here vs. town. We look forward to returning one day to this little piece of heaven.
