Blue Sea Puerto Resort

Visited mid January, from our first contact to our last with staff we were very happy, we got to the hotel a little early but luckily our room was ready so we was booked in, collected our keys and went to our room. In entering the room everything was clean and smelled lovely and clean too, we could have seen the room as dated but we chose to see it as being traditional, the furniture was very well made dark wood, big TV although being English didn't turn it on after the first time as it was all terrestial (Spanish) channels. We was really impressed with the food, buffet style is what we expected and got, fresh meat and fish on the live station at lunch and dinner and plenty to choose from, coffee machines at breakfast can get busy but we would sit and wait for a smaller que before we got up to get ours. The pool bar could get busy but never had to wait super long, drinks were poured well in whatever mix you asked for. Coffee machine, water and cold snacks available at the pool bar also. Our room looked out onto the bottom pool and if we was at the pool this is the one we used, I liked the corner beds so I could watch the lizards run in and out, some very friendly ones enjoyed the odd bit of lettuce, the pool was too cold for many to use, I however got in every day with a few brave others, breathing went back to normal after two lengths, lol. I did try the indoor pool once, it was much warmer. We found the rooftop bar of the Bluesea Interpalace across the road, its on the 7th floor, such a lovely place, amazing views, mountain and sea views, music is loud enough to feel vibey but not overpowering, easy listening, really should be better advertised in the other two hotels. Doesn't open till 5pm week days. Prices are reasonable, we went a few times. There is a book shelf with a fair few books, love this idea and left my book that I finished there. Love how you can use the pools on all 3 hotel and either restaurant. What could be better? info on what entertainment was on when, a board on the stage would suffice. The carpet throughout our hotel was old and if replaced would really make a difference to the feel of the place. The test, would I go back? Yes, we both would.

Lovely clean hotel with excellent service food was delicious always well presented and the staff friendly and helpful loved staying here the pool area was always nice and clean with lovely trees and plants around the pool bar was well stocked and plenty of sun loungers and tables and chairs with a nice area for children to play safely

The hotel is basic in some respects but the staff were friendly, polite and very well presented. It was nice and chilled out and a pleasant stay throughout. If you want a resort that is chilled, quiet and easy going then it’s spot on. Literally zero competition for loungers by the pool and the pool area was lovely. A welcome change !

Bed bugs everywhere!! We stayed for a week and I wanted to come home on day 1. Even though it is a budget hotel, there are certain standards that are just not met. I was bit all over my body! I have brought bed bugs home and need an exterminator which I have been quoted £800 for them to exterminate the house. I was bitten all over, they are sore. The staff were not interested in my complaint. I asked to move hotels by my holiday provider but as the hotel kept saying they had moved us rooms they thought that was enough. EVERY room we moved to had bed bugs and a horrible smell. The chef in the restaurant was using the same utensils for raw and cooked meat. I had a tummy bug on day 3. Entertainment....dont even get me started!! We tried to avoid our room as much as possible but the entertainment is in French. I felt very discriminated against. The mjority of the hotel seems to be English but yet everything is in French. Workers and staff are rude!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I am warning everyone to stay away unless you want food poisoning or to be eaten alive by bed buds. I do not know how anyone could have a positive experience here. Food in edible, raw chicken and sausage. Bed bugs all over the hotel. We were moved to 7 rooms and each room has bed bugs - they were in the lobby etc. Everyone was walking around covered. Its not safe to stay here. The staff are rude, no managers will talk to you. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

HOLIDAY FROM HELL. Please do not stay at this hotel, it is riddled with bed bugs, fppd is terrible. entertainment only for French guests. It really is honestly the worst place on Earth and that is not an exaggeration. Whilst I appreciate it is a budget hotel, it is not fit for humans to stay in. Covered in over 100 bites, had to get seen by the Dr, the manager did not care and would not even come and see us as apparently he speaks no English. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Infested with Bed Bugs. It was honestly the worst holiday or even experience of my life. I was bitten to death, moved to 5 rooms. My little boy who is 8 slept in the lobby. Staff didn’t care, the rooms they checked us out of for bed bugs, the very next day they were checking guests in. It was horrific. I don’t normally write reviews but feel I have a duty of care to other travellers to warn them off. I don’t know how it has any good reviews. The food is shocking, the same utensils used for raw and cooked meat. We got food posioning on the last day. This was confirmed by a Dr in England as stool samples were sent off and it had a bacteria in it you get from raw meat. No food for kids except chips. My little boy lived off chip buttys or bread and fruit. They took our suitcases and put them in the freezer leaving us with one day of clothes in bin bags. We have brought the bed bugs home and have had to pay £1,000 for extermination. Please avoid all blue sea hotels! They really do not care and you will have a horrible experience. Save your money and go elsewhere.

So upon reading all the reviews I'll admit I tryed to move hotels and couldn't. Well I'm glad I didn't ...there's three blocks to this hotel one is modern I stayed in the dated rooms but they were spacious, beds were hard but I slept better than I do at home. My kids also slept well. I will admit I had to change rooms on the second night due to bugs they wasn't there on night one and since moving I haven't seen anymore...to be honest I don't actually think they are bed bugs more like bugs that like anything white even saw one on table outside same bug. We haven't been bitten at all. The hotel cleanliness is next level the cleaners are constantly at it and the lobby areas smell lush pools are cleaned all time not a scrap of dirt or mess at all. The food is average noone will starve I've enjoyed all my meals salad is fresh daily.. entertainment team try there best all day to involve everyone..the night entertainment isn't great but it's something to watch..70% of the staff are happy helpful other 30% need manners..the gym is shocking no cardio machines working it's ok though I run each morning instead much better views...would I stay here again absolutely infact think I'll book now before I check out..holidays are what you make then location is great if u want 5 star this isn't for you this has been given four stars due to location budget and believe it or not it is a clean hotel.

We didn't actually book this hotel. The one I had booked was overbooked and Bluesea Puerto Resort was the only alternative our supplier would offer! When I read the reviews I was horrified and tried my best to get the supplier (onthebeach) to book us in somewhere else. They refused. So we had to go or only be refunded for the hotel, not the flights, transfers etc. When we arrived the reception staff were lovely and helpful, checking us in (at Bonanza Palace) and directed us to Canarife Palace, next door (where our room was) to collect the room key card. The first thing I did was check the beds for bedbugs! Fortunately, I was hugely relieved that there was no evidence of bugs and the mattresses looked clean and in good condition. They also had mattress protectors on. The room was large and clean but the decor was a little dated (traditional, it is described as.) Our en suite had a toilet, bidet, sink and shower. It was clean and fresh towels were provided daily or when required. Inside and outside the hotel was clean. The carpets were dated but there was evidence that they were being replaced in some areas (the stairwells leading to each floor.) I imagine that they will all be replaced, eventually. We had a balcony which overlooked the pool and had a gorgeous view of Volcano Teide (when it wasn't blanketed in clouds.) There were two outdoor pools and a small splash pool for children. They were not heated and were quite cold but it didn't put people off using them too much, especially on the hotter days. There were plenty of sun loungers and tables and chairs close to the pool bar. We never had a problem finding one. There was also a small indoor pool which I believe was heated but we didn't use it. There is a refundable charge of 1 euro per reusable cup at the pool bar. Each time you get a drink you're given a clean one. I actually think it's a great environmentally friendly idea. The food is OK at best, the quality isn't great but there is a variety that changes slightly each day. We didn't go hungry. We were terrified that we would get food poisoning (due to reviews) but we were fine. We ate quite all sorts during our stay and were absolutely fine. The drinks were OK. San Miguel, local spirits, Coke, Fanta lemon, Fanta orange, coffee and hot chocolate from the bars and restaurant. The restaurant was in Bonanza Palace, a short walk past the pool. Only juice (orange, apple and pineapple), water and hot drinks are available at breakfast. No soft drinks or alcohol at breakfast time. It was disappointing that there wasn't a cocktail menu available for all inclusive guests, I've never experienced this before. The entertainment was not good. It was in the bar in Canarife Palace and was very poor quality. Much of it (about 80%) was fully in French with no translation, despite the fact that a small minority of guests were actually French.
