Hotel Floresta

Forgot to add my review. Stayed in Sept 24 for 9 nights. Arrived around 930pm check in was fine and was advised there was cold food served around 10pm for us arriving which I thought was nice as some places in the past I’ve stayed in never had this. Requested a balcony over looking the main pool and got what we asked for , couldn’t fault the room’s very spacious had an issue with the fan in living room what was fixed minutes after speaking to reception, Pool was nice plenty of sun beds no drama in getting a bed . Food was fine we were all inclusive and still went out a fe night to eat out, drinks in all inclusive pool bar was fine too nothing to write home about but we were fine with it. Location is good not far from the beach we decided to use the beach around the bay towards the Sol hotel rather than the beach over the road from the hotel. We have rebooked for this September and look forward to returning for 2 weeks this year .

17th visit to the floresta over the past 9 years and once again a perfect holiday cannot fault this hotel everyone works so hard the grounds are spotless the apartments have everything you need for a comfortable stay as always I requested a room in d block and this was granted as usual will be returning in may

The hotel is amazingly clean, it is cleaned every day. Staff are very helpful. The cleaners let them selves in, there is nothing to let the cleaners know if that you don’t require it that day. The hotel is in 2 parts, the main side and a quiet side( the quiet side you can hear other hotels having fun) there is a pool which isn’t heated to this side and nothing else. The main side has a large pool (salt water) which is supposed to be heated and 1 bar, if your all inclusive (which we were) the quiet side doesn’t really work,(we did ask to be moved but couldn’t) if you want a drink it’s a trek it would suit if self catering though the spar was closer than the bar. We had a 2 bed ground floor apartment it was big enough for us but with only having 1 sofa I could see it not being enough for some family’s. There is a walk way to other hotels between the main and quiet side with gates, the code to these gates are given to you on arrival, good for saftey but not very good if you want to take drinks to your apartment and have your hands full. They get pad locked at around 7pm every night so you have to walk around the outside of the complex in the evening, to get to the restaurant and bar,they get unlocked at 7 am, so no alarms needed by the delivery drivers unlocking these. Food and drink was basic and very repetitive and salty. There was no entertainment either while we were there. It’s a good 40 min walk into PDC where there is loads going on. Over all good for b&b or self catering, would stay again but definitely not all inclusive.

Last visit was 2016 until this one. Really enjoyed it. Food was lovely, plenty of sun beds so no stupid rush. Pool heated, excellent all round holiday. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. The hotel grounds are extremely clean and well maintained. Entertainment in the evening was ok

2nd visit to this little gem of a hotel, stayed half board which suits us, food not always as hot as we’d like but that’s hotel buffets in general I find. Location here is fantastic, so close to beach, bars, Spar mini mart and restaurants, perfect for us. Room was cleaned and towels changed every day and beds made etc - the lovely Joan once again made my two daughters holiday by getting them up for water polo, darts, pool, mini golf and aqua fitness etc which they loved, all in all this hotel is hard to beat for value which is why we’ll be booking up again next autumn!

First time staying at Floresta, and I have already booked again for 2025. Me and my husband and I regularly visit matagotda, purto fel Carmen, Lanzarote, My husband wanted to try Floresta, so we gave it a go. On arrival, as we had an early flight, our room was not ready. However, the receptionist was very helpful. She advised that we could attend the bar, snack bar, and lunch, fitted our AI bands, and helped us to secure our luggage in the luggage room. Check-in is not until 3 p.m., and check out is 12. They don't seem to allow you to keep your room on. Our room was ready for 2.30 pm, and the lovely lady at reception allowed us to check in early. We were in room 1404 by the quiet pool over the other side of the complex. The room was beautiful. Very spacious. Large living room, with sofa that was also a bed. TV, kitchen area with kettle, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery, oven, hob, and table and chairs. Lovley bedroom, with lots of storage space. The bed was so comfy. Lovely bathroom with bath and shower, and a large balcony with outdoor table and chairs and a clothes maiden. There was air conditioning in the living room and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Both worked a treat during the hot nights. We stayed AI. The food was good, plenty to choose from. Good selection of drinks. They have a snack bar during the day. You can order food at the bar, and it is made fresh. There isn't a huge menu, but enough for a snack bar. There are 3 pools. 2 at the main complex and 1 on the other side of the complex. I say the other side as you walk through 2 gates to reach the other side. The gates are locked from 9 pm, but there is an additional gate to gain access to and a from. People did tend to leave this gate wide open, which was annoying as anyone could walk into the complex. Entertainment was mini disco, then a show on after. All in all, the entertainment was good. If you are AI, drinks are available until 12. The bar staff work so hard and are very friendly and helpful, so a big shout out to them. The complex is spotlessly clean, as are the rooms. Maid service daily with clean fresh towels. A short walk across from the hotel is a spar, very handy for any essentials you need. Marcos bar and Asian home also right beside the hotel are worth a visit. The beach is a stones throw away, and we spent the day at the beach paying €10.50 for 2 sun beds and a parasol. I thought that was good value. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops a short walk away from the hotel. All in all, we had a fabulous time. The staff all work tirelessly to keep this hotel prestigious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting matagorda, Lanzarote. We look forward to seeing you in 2025.
