Suite Hotel Montana Club

Positives - well placed in quiet area but easy 10 minute walk to seafront. Two pools, one adult only, never busy. Breakfast included. Newly refurbished room was a good size and very nice. Negatives - Biggest negative was outside space at Room 126 which felt like a prison courtyard. Set down slightly and facing straight onto road with lots of camper vans on it. Some attempt had been made to provide privacy (with bars and bamboo fencing) but the only reason we used it was to dry washing. No sun either. Only other window looked directly onto a peeling wall. Room 125 next door was similar. Slight irritations - We tried to get a breakfast coffee 10 minutes before opening time as we had an early excursion and given a very blunt refusal, although we could smell the coffee brewing. Room not cleaned every day but tbh that wasn't really a problem for us.

We stayed here 3 years ago and really enjoyed it so decided to return. We are in the refurbished side and the apartments are modern and fresh. They are spotlessly clean and the staff are fantastic. The Montana is set off the ***** in a quiet location but a five minute walk takes you to the centre of things with lots of bars and restaurants. A lovely relaxing stay. I'll be back The swimming pool is heated and refreshing.

Just returned from Montana after a wonderful week’s stay! Arrived late morning and was able to check in immediately which was great! lovely reception welcome, all staff are so nice and you can see they all work so hard! We had a top floor room on the newly refurbished side which was a wonderful room, had the sun all day. Rooms are very spacious, clean and tidy. Fabulous walk in shower which is very powerful! Kitchen had kettle, toaster and plenty of cutlery, plates and glasses etc! It was also nice to have a washing up sponge, fairy liquid and tea towel supplied which many apartments don’t! Sofa in lounge is very comfy and pulls out as sofa bed if required! The pool was cleaned every day and had lovely padded sun loungers! The whole complex is spotless and all staff work hard, constantly to maintain it. The pool bar is large and open until midnight every day. Good choice of food and drinks! Large TV’s which shows all sports. Location of apartments are approx 5-6 mins walk to main ***** (opposite the ******), great location. The First and Last Bar and La Cana on the road down to ***** are great bars and would recommend! There is a Spar just by apartments which is well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again, one of the nicest complex’s we have stayed in, in PDC. If I had some feedback for Montana it would be, update your bathroom towels! They are old, thin and after a day really needed changing! Apart from that I have no complaints!!

WARNING. the middle rooms behind the bar area has a 24 hour AC BUZZING AWAY ALL DAY, if you are a light sleeper & are given rooms in the centre, be warned, and to add insult to injury the heated pool has the boiler kicking in every few minutes, and this bugger is loud too, I certainly wouldn’t return myself.

We stayed in the one bedroom suite which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The sun beds were so comfortable and no issue getting one. Very relaxed apartment complex with such friendly staff. Large spar two minute walk and main ***** 5 minute stroll. Hoping to return next year as a great holiday.

Having visited Montana Club twice before we now consider it not value for money any more. Taking all things into account the rate charged has nearly doubled for the same accommodation we booked 2 yeas ago. Nearly 700€ a week was considered acceptable, over 1200€ a week is now untenable considering other aparthotels/private apartments in the same location. Criticisms - Balcony unusable because of no parasol or shade prevention despite being in direct sunlight. Room service every other day, not daily. Cleaners not making beds (hardly a hotel)! No real hotel atmosphere or 100% attended reception. Despite a rule saying 'It is strictly forbidden to reserve sunbeds' clients were still placing towels on sunbeds as early as 6.00am. The rule isn't enforced. Room now looking tired. No repairs to deteriorating condition attended to. In conclusion if you have over €1200 to spend on 7 days I would choose wisely as in our opinion the 'Hotel' Montana Club is far from value for money.
