This was the best holiday ever. The only bad thing about it was we booked 10 days not two weeks. My wife, who never wants to go away for more than 10 days, forced me to book 2 weeks next year. I say "forced" but little persuasion was required. Free airport transfers in proper Limos rather than tatty old mini busses you usually get when booking a transfer elsewhere. We were greeted at reception by the receptionist, our bags taken away and treated to beer and Cava. The manager, Jonathan, came in specifically to welcome us to the hotel. The reception area is not connected to the hotel, you have to access your rooms via several gates around the hotel perimeter. Access to the gates and suites is via pin codes which means you don't have to worry about taking room key or card with you. We stayed in a ground floor Suite de Luxe including a hot tub, table and chairs and two loungers with additional seating. The Suite had everything you could possibly want, huge bed, separate air conditioning in the bedroom and sitting room, Smart TVs in the bedroom and sitting room, ironing board and iron, fridge, free beer and soft drinks, cork screw, free laundry, daily supply of chocolate, umbrella, shoe horn. I could go on a lot more. The shower was very good and we never lacked hot water. The WIFI is reliable and strong in all areas of the hotel. The Suites are so peaceful and quiet even though they are on the main Lanzarote *****. You can see the planes coming into land at Arricefe airport, but we never heard them. The pool is relatively small, but more than adequate, and warm once you get over the initial shock of getting in from the hot outside air. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were spent at Lani's on-site Restaurant. It has magnificent views over the sea and beach. We had planned on eating out half the time, but the food was so good we chose to eat in most days. Now I come to the staff and I am sorry I did not get their names. But I don't need names to tell you that every single member of staff who looked after us, from Reception, Room Maids, Waiting Team, Pool Guys, Maintenance Guys and the Spa Ladies were a credit to the hotel and made our stay so good. Friendly, amusing, and diligent; exceptional. We didn't see the chefs, but I am sure they would have been lovely as well. We never saw a grumpy person once. In most hotels we have stayed in you rarely get to see senior management but at Lani's they are constantly on patrol, chatting to guests and making sure everything is perfect. Even the owner, Mr Dadlani came and spoke to us whenever he was in the hotel which was quite often. The people we were most in contact with were Jonathan (Manager) and Farah (Guest relations). They are outstanding. Thank you all for making our holiday so memorable. We are devastated that we have to wait 12 months for our next stay.
