Overall experience good, staff amazing especially Veronica! Manager of the main restaurant was rude at times and arrogant attitude! Not enough staff, but they coped well, we felt sorry for them! Ridiculous that you had to pay for water if you had it in a bottle, and we were all inclusive, also only had free water in the evening, out of the tap I assume, not bottled! Food was average, entertainment good, pool good, cleanliness very good! Weather was amazing, beach was across the road, close to all amenities and restaurants and shops!

We had booked to stay at a Villa in Puerto Del Carmen for a fortnight but needed alternative accommodation for the first two nights due to flights. We decided on Club Del Carmen. Service from staff was great, very helpful and friendly. Our apartment was very clean and spacious with a great view overlooking the pool with the sea just behind. Club Del Carmen is very eco friendly. Great to have a tap with drinking water in our room. You could use the pool at any time during its opening hours but sun beds had to be booked. You could book a morning or afternoon slot. They said it’s usually one slot per day per room, but if people don’t show up for their slot within 30 mins the lifeguard will look to see if there is space for you. We thought the booking system was a great idea. We ate at the restaurant on-site Baily Bar for one of the evenings, the food was lovely and reasonably priced. We were very happy with our short stay and would look to stay again in the future.

It is the best hotel in which we have ever been. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Food was amazing, a lot of different tastes every day. Places for children prepared very well. Hotel is splitted into different areas. If you travel with children you get the room closly to the pool for children and playground. If you travel adults only you get the nice room close to the swimming pool for adults only. Hotel is allocated close to the beach. We would like to thank all the service teams there. Especially to Bartek, Francesca and Anas from the animation team! Thank you for amazing time spent toghether!

Yeah it is dated but it was really clean and had everything you need for a self catering trip. Cleaners were round every 2nd day with fresh towels.
It was a 3 minute walk to the sea front and a 6-7minute walk to Long Beach.
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Handy wee supermarket across the road. The smaller complex pool was clean and sheltered from the wind. The larger pool at the bigger complex was clean too (yeah the odd leaf blows in as the moaners from other reviews stated) and it was more open and windy but a nice area to sit.
The on-site restaurant staff were nice too and the food was fine considering the cheap prices. I ate there twice and enjoyed the steak, wings, baked potatoes and toasties.
Not 5 star but you aren’t paying for 5 star.
I would stay here again.

Just back from a 5 night stay. Can’t fault the staff, all lovely! Was in one of the older rooms, clean but very run down (broken socket in the bathroom where the hair dryer is) dangerous! Was told both pools where heated but only one was but that was fine we just used the heated pool as had two kids with me, the cold one was ice cold there was no way they could use it. First four days there was no problem but all of a sudden on the 5th day we were told the kids couldn’t use their swim rings in the pool! No rings or armbands!! They weren’t in anyones way as they where the only ones in the pool! The odd person would get in for a min or two though out the day. I was told they could use the cold pool with their rings but not the warm one! They could stay in the warm pool but had to take their rings off. So they had to just sit on the steps even tho no one else was using the pool! Was absolutely ridiculous

Returned after a lovely stay this time las year. And what a difference a year makes. We were put in room 3211 and as soon as we saw that it was located right on the street with loads of bins for recycling glass and cardboard, we went back to reception and asked if we could move rooms, but our request was refused and it was made very clear to must that the chance of swapping rooms was not going to happen. So we spent a week of being woken up every night with containers of glass bottled being tipped into the glass bin, the cardboard machine starting up to crush the boxes and lorries pulling up at all times to remove and replace the recycling bins. Absolute nightmare. We will not return. And I suggest you make it quite clear that you do not want room 3211 if you book to stay here.

The pool was great and the life guard too. It’s a stone throw away from markets , touristic events etc
The only gripe I had was with 1 mm ants ? That popped up in the kitchen and bathtub was worn.
But it wasn’t dirty. Cleaning lady also cleaned everyday.
Definitely a lovely stay for the money and amazing staff.

A fantastic location. We stayed in an apartment across the road from the main building. The apartment was clean and tidy. The fan in the bedroom kept us cool at night. There was no air con or fan in the main living area which made it very hot but we spent most time outdoors so it was not a massive issue. The pool bar was excellent and they had a great selection of drinks. A beer cost €2.50 in the pool bar but for some reason the hotel bar charged €3.00. The staff were all super friendly and cannot be faulted. If you come out of the hotel take a left and that is the easier way to get up and down from the ***** avoiding cardiac hill. Also on that route there is 2 spar supermarkets. We booked again for the same week next year.

Booked in for 1 night on a quick visit from Playa Blanca to meet up with friends. Have to say it’s a fantastic little spot , directly up the road from the bus stop at Biosfera Centre, easy booking reasonably priced for room only, speedy check in , everything in room you require, nice little pool, great bar service ….BUT not quite sure I could do a full week- through no fault of the hosts ….other noisy guests all night, paper tin walls, albeit little sleep. Would definitely recommend insider again and in a perfect location to beach, bars, shops, restaurant and bus stop.

I love the rooms there are 4 swimming pools 2 which are heated 2 which are a literally a ice baths going back to the rooms there is a massive balcony which I loved I went with a family of four and one of them was dairy free which was my eight year-old brother so at lunch and dinner all he ate was chicken nuggets and chips which for an eight-year-old would get quite reaping at lunch he didn’t eat anything because he was so bored of chips and chicken nuggets this makes me feel really bad and it is no good for people with allergies also about the food there is barely anything there are four stations that have the exact same burger on there are two sides to the food restaurant one side has like chips burgers, chicken nuggets, and other stuff and the other side will have the exact same thing. There are also two ice cream tubs and they have the exact same flavours on both tubs can fit about four tubs of ice cream in and they choose the exact same ones on both sides are the same which I found stupid one thing I didn’t like about the hotel was that there are cat allowed in the food area which was found to be very annoying because some people didn’t like cats or had allergies to cats like I am all for on no rats and mice like I don’t want them to get rid of the cats just make sure they aren’t in the area people are eating . There was also not a big variety of food for everyone.

PPengguna TetamuI was made feel very welcome when I arrived at Pension Magec. The hospitality I received from the management and other guests was amazing. Its a very friendly place. The property is very clean and my room was cleaned everyday. The management are extremely helpful. The management will go out of their way ensure that guests needs are met all times. Carla is lovely as are everyone else works there including Sandi the manager The view from the top veranda is stunning. The guests can sit and have a drink and chat together on the veranda. As a solo traveller you would never be lonely and its very safe. Everyone talks to each other when up on the veranda. You are made feel welcome by both management and other guests at all times. There is always someone to talk to. I felt we were like a big happy family. There is free tea and coffee at the property. I would highly recommend Pension Magec as its very central. This hotel promised so much but was generally disappointing. At first glance it looks good but we soon realised that there were lots of things we didn't like about the hotel. LOCATION yes it is right on the beach but there is a band of huge rocks between the hotel and the water so you hav to walk down the beach quite a long way to access the water. It is also at the very windiest end of this long, beautiful beach and the other end hotels would be much more comfortable where wind is concerned ROOM We spent the extra to have a Junior Suite and were very disappoite with it. All the walls were blank with no characterful pictures or anything. Overhead lighting which was very harsh - the fridge didn't work (reported twice to no effect) - the bathroom looked tired and dingy. FOOD The 'restaurant' was more like a factory canteen. No atmosphere at all - especially in the eveing with harsh ***** lighting only. We ate here the first night and that was all. Dreadful choice of wines by the glass.... LITTLE THINGS - having to go to main reception to get pool towels - having to pay 20 euros deposit in cash to use them! Not enough tables outside the restaurant to enable outdoor eating at breakfast and lunch. The hotel is very large and lacking in soul or charcter - just a mass production enterprise. I am sure you can do much better than this in Lanzarote for much less money

Room was clean but bath was extremely stained and looked like a bath mat had been left to rot and disintegrate not a good look. Our room was always in the shade no sunshine what so ever. The towel and sunbeds situation is a joke we are early risers and not once did we get a sunbed on the sunny side of the pool and this was low season. There is definitely not enough beds for the amount of appartments. The hotel needs to be stricter with towels on the beds as a lot were not even used throughout the day. On the plus side we had some lovely days on the beach not what we planned but the beach is lolvey. The only downside is we planned to spend more time in the hotel as we have walking difficulties and knew we were up a hill the hill is not quite cardiac hill but it's on par if you have health problems. The reception were freindly and helpful and could not fault the reception. Although having a tv is not priority on holiday we did pay a returnable deposit for the tv and was impressed itv bbc and we could sign into the likes of Netflix ect with a excellent connection, the WiFi in the room was very good. Not sure I would book this hotel again.

Paid for half board which was great ,but got the impression afternoon snacks were included. Drinks had to be paid for .not a problem just quizzed why 2 beers were 24 euros informed snacks not included, needs to be made more clear ,otherwise great stay

I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment with our recent stay at Labranda El Dorado Apartments in Lanzarote, which we booked through your company. We had high expectations based on the hotel description, but our experience was deeply unpleasant and, at times, unsafe. Misleading Room Description We booked a Sea View Superior Room, expecting a pleasant view as advertised. Instead, our room overlooked a skip that remained there for our entire stay. It was nothing like what was shown in the booking details, and we felt completely misled. Unbearable Noise – Impossible to Sleep Our room was located at the very bottom of the complex, directly beside an extremely loud Irish pub. From 9 PM to 2 AM every night, we were subjected to deafening singing, making it impossible to sleep. The walls were paper-thin, and we could hear every noise from outside and neighboring rooms. By the second night, we were exhausted and frustrated, so we went to reception to ask if we could move to a different room. The hotel was clearly not full, yet when we explained our issue, the receptionist was dismissive and unhelpful. She shrugged, threw her hands up, and said “sorry” with no effort to assist us. When I asked if that meant there was no possibility of moving rooms, she flatly replied, “No, you booked a superior room, that is your room.” We then contacted Jet2, who attempted to help. When we met with the Jet2 rep and another receptionist the following day, we were told the hotel was fully booked and that the only available rooms were five garden view rooms. However, after looking at the hotel map, it was obvious that many rooms were empty, including ones much further from the noise. The staff refused to move us, despite having options available. Had I known that the so-called ‘Superior’ rooms were all located next to a noisy bar, I would never have booked it. Considering it was meant to be a better option than a standard room—and we paid more for it—I expected much better. Serious Safety Concerns on Our Last Night On our final night, we experienced an extremely dangerous situation that made us feel completely unsafe. A car right across the road from our hotel was set on fire and exploded. This was not a small incident—the car was completely engulfed in flames, and there were what we believe to be fireworks or devices being set off in or near the car, possibly even towards the hotel. The hotel staff showed absolutely no concern for guest safety. At no point were we given any information, reassurance, or even an acknowledgment of what was happening. We were extremely worried for our safety, and the lack of response from the hotel was shocking. Poor Room Conditions & Housekeeping At first glance, our room seemed clean, but we quickly noticed multiple issues: • Mold in the bathroom • Ripped bed sheets and towels • A broken couch that doubled as a pull-out bed we didn’t need—the bottom part was exposed and falling apart, making it uncomfortable to s

Presently on 6th day of 14 day holiday and honestly I can't believe I am staying in the same hotel as those who have posted negative reviews on many aspects of this hotel,I am baffled of what they expect,regarding service it is exceptional throughout the hotel,rooms cleaned daily with bedding and towels changed regularly,breakfast and dinner menus very varied,having stayed at many Spanish hotels over the past twenty five years or more this hotel exceeds those whatever rating they may be given nationally or by tour operators.oh yes I have seen a cockroach in ensuite,it ran so fast I couldn't keep up with it and appears to have returned out by the same route it came in,what the hell it is a warm climate we are holidaying in,a final review will follow on completion of holiday and I can safely say that if the good Lord spares me I will not hesitate to return.
