Fantastic hotel. Recently stayed and the building itself is so interesting, the room spacious, and the hotel staff were all so friendly and welcoming. My husband and I stayed all-inclusive and there is a brilliant selection of food and drink throughout the day. Absolutely loved the pool and the Piano Bar (cocktails are so good!) The hotel even has a mini museum. Everything was so clean. Also, loved the location as you go out the pool area gates and the beach is right in front of you. My husband and I made the most of the great location and went for a run every morning and walk every evening as the route along the seafront has been pedestrianised so it was not only beautiful but also felt very safe. Had such a wonderful stay that we're already planning a return.

It is the best hotel in which we have ever been. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Food was amazing, a lot of different tastes every day. Places for children prepared very well. Hotel is splitted into different areas. If you travel with children you get the room closly to the pool for children and playground. If you travel adults only you get the nice room close to the swimming pool for adults only. Hotel is allocated close to the beach. We would like to thank all the service teams there. Especially to Bartek, Francesca and Anas from the animation team! Thank you for amazing time spent toghether!

Just returned from our first stay in a Riu, I have got to stay it was not what we were expecting. There was approximately 1200 guests stopping in the hotel, it was way too busy for us. I would say 80 percent German and the average age 60 upwards. The food wasn't bad but quite bland and you couldn't help think about germs with that many people and one hand wash station at the pool bar but none I could see at the main restaurant, it actually really put me off enjoying anything. The beers was OK, the wine and spirits awful, again there was self service which at first you think this is handy until you start seeing just how many people are using the optics etc, the animation team don't stop and work hard to make an effort with eyeryone, a lot love it, but around the pool it was so repetitive but enjoyed by many, again just not our thing, at night again same songs and singers but they had another room for kids shows which we didn't go in. You could get sunbeds but had to be careful which beds you select as a rude German will glady pull the sun covers over on the pigalos with zero regard for who they are shading lol, I have never seen so many sun haters in my life it became quite entertaining watching people being put in the shade with no warning as the covers closed. We started going out at night to Marcus's bar which is a right turn out of the beach gate and a 10 minutes walk, good food/drink and music, all in all not a bad hotel if your into animation teams, all you can eat drink, but for us in are fourtys who enjoy decent drinks, normal music around the pool in the day and decent music/drinks at night this isn't the place.

The location was good. Across the road from the beach and a short stroll to bars and restaurants. Communal areas well kept. The rooms were clean, only downside was the smell of drains from our balcony, we were at the front and paid extra for a seaview. The restaurant was more like a works canteen. Nobody seated you or took a room number, it was a fight for a table if you timed it wrong. It had a manic atmosphere, people queuing for food. The wait staff were doing their best but there was nobody managing the restaurant at all. One night we came down at 8.35pm (it closes at 9.30pm) all the cheese and breads had been cleared away and they were setting up for the next day. It was a kind of ”Here's your hat what's your hurry” feeling as they cleared up around you before you had finished. We ate out a few nights even though we had paid for half board, it was less stressful and nicer food. The first night we needed water for the children and were never told there was a water machine and they sold us 3 bottles of water from the bar instead. We had to go to the beach a couple of days as we couldn't get a sun bed, which all made for a stressful experience, not relaxing at all. The reception staff were very unfriendly and looked annoyed whenever we asked for anything. They need a larger restaurant and someone front of house. They also need another pool area to accommodate the amount of people and customer service training for reception staff. Personally I would never go there again, felt we like cattle. It's a shame because it could be nice but it was definitely not a 4 star experience. We booked this through a Jet2 Package Holiday.

We had booked to stay at a Villa in Puerto Del Carmen for a fortnight but needed alternative accommodation for the first two nights due to flights. We decided on Club Del Carmen. Service from staff was great, very helpful and friendly. Our apartment was very clean and spacious with a great view overlooking the pool with the sea just behind. Club Del Carmen is very eco friendly. Great to have a tap with drinking water in our room. You could use the pool at any time during its opening hours but sun beds had to be booked. You could book a morning or afternoon slot. They said it’s usually one slot per day per room, but if people don’t show up for their slot within 30 mins the lifeguard will look to see if there is space for you. We thought the booking system was a great idea. We ate at the restaurant on-site Baily Bar for one of the evenings, the food was lovely and reasonably priced. We were very happy with our short stay and would look to stay again in the future.

Presently on 6th day of 14 day holiday and honestly I can't believe I am staying in the same hotel as those who have posted negative reviews on many aspects of this hotel,I am baffled of what they expect,regarding service it is exceptional throughout the hotel,rooms cleaned daily with bedding and towels changed regularly,breakfast and dinner menus very varied,having stayed at many Spanish hotels over the past twenty five years or more this hotel exceeds those whatever rating they may be given nationally or by tour operators.oh yes I have seen a cockroach in ensuite,it ran so fast I couldn't keep up with it and appears to have returned out by the same route it came in,what the hell it is a warm climate we are holidaying in,a final review will follow on completion of holiday and I can safely say that if the good Lord spares me I will not hesitate to return.

Overall experience good, staff amazing especially Veronica! Manager of the main restaurant was rude at times and arrogant attitude! Not enough staff, but they coped well, we felt sorry for them! Ridiculous that you had to pay for water if you had it in a bottle, and we were all inclusive, also only had free water in the evening, out of the tap I assume, not bottled! Food was average, entertainment good, pool good, cleanliness very good! Weather was amazing, beach was across the road, close to all amenities and restaurants and shops!

Just returned from a fabulous 11 night holiday. We had a room with a side sea view lovely spacious room, walk in shower (rooms with a bath also available), mini fridge, microwave, safe (extra charge). Spacious terrace with 2 chairs, table and 2 sun loungers. Always loungers around the pool. The usual suspects reserving sun beds before 9.00 despite notices. Entertainment was good and lovely lounge area. Prices for drinks very reasonable 3.50 euros for a large beer (excellent beer). We were half board and the food was delicious plenty of choice and vegetarians well catered for. The staff were very friendly. Stand out was Renata on reception who arranged for our daughter who was staying for part of our holiday to have a room near ours. The hotel is closing in the spring for refurbishment and I hope the staff get some clarity soon on what will be happening to them when it closes as it is causing them some anxiety. It was really nice to see the staff really enjoying their jobs and hope they can return when the hotel reopens. The hotel is in fabulous location just near the beach and at the quiet end of the *****. We are planning to return next October.

Great family apartments, very clean thanks to the lovely ladies who work there and who will also do a full bag of washing for €5. There's no air con but fans are free from reception. Quiet and safe resort within 10 minutes walk of the main *****. There's also a lidl about 15 minutes walk away and only €4 back in a taxi. There are a few smaller supermarkets close by too. A few recommendations for restaurants in puerto del carmen, Sebastyans is an authentic Greek restaurant past lani's. Amazing food, incredible views and reasonably priced, definitely worth a visit. Also Port O Mar opposite the steps to the beach is reasonably priced and the guys are very welcoming and great with the kids. If you want to just stop for a beer then el kioska is in a nice wee spot, and a large beer is only €1.80 Overall Tisalaya are great family apartments in a good location and very clean.

These apartments deserve more than 2 star. On arrival 20.30hrs Mavis the receptionist was brilliant booking us in taking us to show the various exit entry gates and then on to our apartment. Apartments are basic but everything you need is there and they are large, cleaned every other day and bedding changed twice weekly. Very large swimming pool and a very good priced bar / restaurant we had breakfast their every day. All the staff were very good and helpfull. The management here deserve a mention it is obvious that they want you to have a good holiday and they are going to help you by not overcharging and working as a family. If I were to pick fault it would be unfare as they would be minor. It's a very well done from me.

PPengguna TetamuI was made feel very welcome when I arrived at Pension Magec. The hospitality I received from the management and other guests was amazing. Its a very friendly place. The property is very clean and my room was cleaned everyday. The management are extremely helpful. The management will go out of their way ensure that guests needs are met all times. Carla is lovely as are everyone else works there including Sandi the manager The view from the top veranda is stunning. The guests can sit and have a drink and chat together on the veranda. As a solo traveller you would never be lonely and its very safe. Everyone talks to each other when up on the veranda. You are made feel welcome by both management and other guests at all times. There is always someone to talk to. I felt we were like a big happy family. There is free tea and coffee at the property. I would highly recommend Pension Magec as its very central. As this was our 5th visit and we have booked again for October 25 that probably says a lot. We stumbled on the hotel a few years ago having always done self catering decided to treat ourselves to 3 nights. Blown away we then booked a 10 night stay in a junior suite the following year and treated our selves to a suite thereafter. This july I found a few tiny boxes were ”unticked” but my fault as it was in school holidays and the high lights far outweighed the lows. The view from the suites either 1st or 2nd floor is breath taking, especially at night. Breakfast outside is superb, lunch equally so and dinner always lovely. Touches such as drinks served in glasses, a bottle (or two!) of wine with lunch and dins, no sun bed wars and location always draw us back, re the comments about lunchtime bar staff attitude, we witnessed enough rubbish behaviour towards them to totally understand why and they work flat out serving as quickly as possible, especially between 12 & 1. I am quite fond of the pool bar manager who does a great job, as do his bar staff and I managed to make him smile more than once. I love speaking my bit of Spanish with them too. The patio area in the evenings is lush especially with the chill out seats...the staff there are equally hard working and eager to bring us drinks, having seen that the bar staff often work split shifts, I am amazed how they do it! We will see you in October 25, one weeny little thing, as returning guests you were putting a complimentary bottle of cava in our room on arrival hubby was most disappointed that we didnt get this in July....I await to see what happens next year! :) - carolyn

Rest & relaxation then panorama is what's needed, friendly staff,regular cleaning, spacious enough rooms,comfortable,clean and a nice ceiling fan to cool the sunburn if you stupid enough to be at the pool for a few hrs without suncream ( yes me lol ) be good if the bar stayed open late with some entertainment maybe but not an issue with so many places about..... all in all very nice place to stay,definitely will be back 🍻

Stayed here late October 2 adults and our 4 year old. Stayed in numerous places in PDC and thought we would give this place a try as we had walked past a few times as we prefer self catering as our little one is fussy with food so always find half board etc are a waste of money. Check in was nice and easy (2pm check in) and always found the staff on reception very friendly and helpful. Safe was €15 plus €5 deposit and then €10 deposit for the tv and €25 for the fan for the week as the rooms don’t have air con and it was needed even in October. So €55 gone straight away (we got €25 back). Rooms are very basic and dated. We had a ground floor room but it wasn’t round the pool and didn’t get sun which was a shame. Usual set up 2 beds shoved together in the main bedroom and then a sofa bed - which aren’t that comfy, myself and hubby took in turns to sleep on don’t think our backs thanked us. Loads of storage space, bathroom had a shower I was hoping for one with a little bath in as the little one isn’t that keen on showers but we managed but the shower was powerful and warm. Fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, 2 hobs and basic utensils. Enough to get you on for the week but you wouldn’t be able to make big meals which was fine and we managed. Maids came 3 times during our 7 day stay, 1 time it was quite late in the day 4.30ish so we just asked them to change our towels. Only on 2 of these visits did towels get changed. Not a lot of sun beds and most have towels by 8am and they wasn’t very comfy and they stay laid down, I think you could hire cushions for them. Had a little pool snack bar with a range of drinks and snacks pizza chips etc which was ok. The little childrens pool wasn’t kept very clean and both pools were absolutely freezing. I also felt the music round the pool wasn’t very child friendly. We used the laundry room a few times €9 for 2 tokens 1 for washer and 1 for dryer and then some powder for the washing machine did a decent job washer approx 30 mins and dryer approx an hr. Check out was 11am, I did notice that you could ask to keep your room on for €60 but we were getting picked up at 1.30pm so it wasn’t needed and there is a room to store your luggage. I believe there is a courtesy room that you can also book. A few little bits for children in reception like pool table etc. and a big bar but tbh I never saw this open. This hotel really lacks in entertainment in the day and evening, especially for children. Location is really good supermarket across the road but we preferred the HiperDino supermarket down the road as more choice and cleaner. It’s just a short 5-10 min walk down to main ***** or a few euros ride in a taxi. All the staff we encountered were wonderful but I feel this place needs a big renovation and some liveliness putting it to it. All in all an ok stay but I wouldn’t stay here again.
