We were so excited for our stay here and had spent more for a luxury stay whilst in Iguazu. The property is remote from the town and that is okay as you get that feeling of being closer to nature, however despite a beautiful property we were super disappointed with our stay for other reasons.
There were no English speaking staff, or any attempt from the staff to really communicate with us even via translator. The catering was really poor - a very limited menu with few things actually available from it, we could have cooked better ourselves. The menu is only available through QR code but the site doesn’t work and is missing many dishes from it too, would be so much better to just have one printed as the one staff member working seemed to not know the options. There was also only limited drink options, we had seen many great pictures on social media of cocktails and delicious meals but none of that was seen in reality.
We also had no hot water in our room, we called for help and the staff said they’d fix it but nobody ever came back, we then told the front desk twice and just nothing was done about it. Not sure if this was a language barrier, but in a luxury hotel was an incredibly poor experience with no offer of help.
I don’t normally write reviews but I felt here important to flag to people so others aren’t as disappointed as we were, we wished we had just stayed in a cheaper option in the centre of town as it didn’t deliver on our Iguazu retreat dreams sadly.
