This hotel was beyond my expectations. I toured Montreaux and stayed in Vevey one night upon arrival from the USA, and I’m so glad we decided to spend our last 3 nights here. The rooms are spacious and the view is mesmerizing- a totally different feel than Montreaux or Vevey. We picked the junior suite as a splurge and felt like royalty. We wandered down one night for dinner at Le Deck and just loved it. And this last night we had just drinks and nosh food in the bar area. We did not have a car and used public transportation entirely. This minor inconvenience was well worth the views and ambience. Oh, and breakfasts are fantastic here. This hotel is one of our best finds ever.

We had a wonderful stay at the Baron Tavernier hotel, although far too short! The establishment is neat, the setting is magnificent and the service impeccable. Le Deck restaurant and bar have stunning views of the lake, mountains and vineyards. We enjoyed the fantastic food prepared by chef Lionel Rodriguez, full of flavors and using local produce. A big thank you in particular to Idriss in charge of the restaurant. Very attentive to our needs, discreet and professional, he made our stay even more pleasant. We also had the opportunity to enjoy the spa and the swimming pool. The perfect place to relax and rest. The decor is elegant, the facilities a great standard and the spa has a delightful scented a**osphere. Our family stay could not have been more enjoyable, and we look forward to returning very soon to the Baron Tavernier Hotel.

The hotel has a stunning view and I had longer planned to stay there but I was greatly disappointed! The interior of the hotel, including lobby and reception, are old and worn out, the rooms are small, with mediocre decoration, small bathroom and shower very small! Few and poorly located electric plugs and switches that didn’t make sense (you had to have the main switch to the ceiling lamp located by the main door on in order for all the bed lamps and electric plugs to work!!!). The restaurant, the only part that looked very modern and stunning view were full and not even hotel guests could eat there! overall rather overpriced for such a poor hotel. It is more like a 3* hotel.

Beautifully set up in the vineyards. The rooms are simple but clean. Friendly service and helpful staff. The breakfast overlooking the vineyards is wonderful.

We had a room in the main building and the views across the lake are just tremendous from our porch. The room was nicely decorated and clean with a large and handsome bathroom. We were there during a heatwave and were jealous as some rooms appear to have ceiling fans (maybe?). With no AC in the rooms - common in CH - it did make the experience a bit warmer than expected. Front desk staff were helpful and warm. The restaurant is stellar. Great service and cuisine. The view is amazing. We'd happily stay there again.

Great hotel set amongst the stunning Vaud vineyards. Rooms are clean and comfortable and you really can't beat the view from the lakeside rooms. There is a cool bar on site as well as a restaurant. Hotel is a five minute walk into the village of Chexbres and easy to get to via the train station if you don't have a car. As tourists we got to take advantage of the free local transport card which meant we could visit nearby Lausanne, Vevey and Montreux from our base in Chexbres. We loved being up in the terraced vineyards, looking out at Lac Leman and the cute little villages dotted around. A different part of Switzerland!

If you are from Montreal say hello to the Director Christian. Very charming and knowledgeable! We took the signature menu and every dish was simply amazing. The view is inspiring and calming. Make sure you reserve for the restaurant.no need of a reservation for the bat section. Service was 5 stars.

The hotel is in a stunning location. It is in a good overall state, clean and food was great. It is just a bit shocking that pool access comes with a charge (it is just a pool with some jets and small hamam and sauna). For a hotel of this category and for this type of amenities it is not justified.
