I highly recommend not staying here – staff is not well trained, food quality is not worth the price, room interiors are wearing out, hygiene standards left a lot to be desired, nothing much to do in the area, reaching here is arduous. We booked seven rooms – seven families with senior citizens as well as kids. Fri to Sun. Staff is mostly local men. These people lack politeness, warmth, and friendliness. They are always uptight, and some behave authoritatively (the tone and way they talk). Reflects the household ethos of the region they come from. But this is not what we pay for. They fail to understand that most of the guests come from big cities, are spending decent money and therefore deserve a degree of respect. Something you otherwise find effortlessly in other parts of India (most of the places a cultural given). Staff lacked training in soft skills. They are very transactional at all the time. They don’t have the slightest authority to make concessions. Unless you have rough men in your group, fluent in the local language, don’t expect the staff to be amenable to your modest requests. We were constantly reminded of last order timings every time we sat for a meal (felt like a boarding school). Once is understandable, but this happened for every meal. It got many of us pissed, especially after seeing them entertain orders after the cut-off time yet putting us under pressure to order fast. Indian dishes contained soda, got us all bloated after our first lunch. The food instructions weren’t properly understood. They didnt offer to join tables despite our bigger group. In absence of our young members, there was no assistance for senior folks trying to move chairs. At Maati baani (main restaurant) they would not start air conditioning until sufficient guests would assemble. Some of the early diners would be sitting in hot surroundings (it was Oct heat). Staff was busy huddling up over the restaurant computer all the time. The room service folks forgot to get some requests for families with toddlers. Ice creams, desert items on menu were short stocked. We got a three-day stale blueberry cake. Kids were left wanting despite being a weekend. All this despite having reminded their Mumbai office about our arrival a week in advance. A staffer hastily came after one of us to the lawns for a voucher sign for a bisleri. Despite clearly instructing on the room # to charge the billables. Such a low trust environment. The property's cleanliness is in bad shape. Rooms are poorly lit, and walls are not well maintained. Room designs are well done, but the cleaning and upkeep are lacking. Again, this is a staff issue. No one came to clean rooms unless some of us explicitly requested it. Restaurant flooring and seat cushions are dirty and worn out. Senior managers came to the picture only on Saturday night and Sunday morning after our repeated attempts to escalate service issues and requests. Senior managers took their duties for granted. There was no sen
