The place is a real authentic , classy and up to the highest standards Staff are very welcoming and friendly , Suites are spacious , comfy and elegant. The food represents the true meaning of the fine dining. Check In and Check out was very smooth and welcoming. Just one comment , the playlist being played on the reflection pool bar needs to be reviewed to suite the serenity of the place , it was so random and sometimes it takes u off the mode.

I have nothing but good things to say about this gorgeous hotel. It is 10000% worth traveling to Fayoum just to stay at this hotel. The landscaping and buildings are gorgeous. Everything is sparkling clean, including the 3 lovely swimming pools. It is quiet and peaceful and it always feels as though you have the place to yourself, no matter how booked up the hotel might be. The service is friendly and timely. The food is good. It is perfectly located on the adorable little main street in Fayoum with the gorgeous pottery shops. The rooms are stunning - beautifully designed and appointed with thoughtful, local touches. It is completely unique and beautiful. There is also plenty to do - a spa, a game room. I have stayed here three times already and I'm absolutely going back.

Thank you to Lazib as we had the most wonderful time when we stayed during our honeymoon in Egypt. We had an amazing room but the whole team at Lazib really went above and beyond and made this stay magical. Excellent grounds, wonderful room and great food - especially the Egyptian breakfast! They also organised for us a fantastic day trip in the desert with the best driver (Ayman). Thanks to the whole team - but Mido in particular - for their exceptional service! We hope to return one day!

I called the hotel to book and check the rates, two of the receptionists told me the same rates, and when i called them again to confirm the booking. They changed what they have told me by increasing the rate. They are not professional at all and this was a very bad experience dealing with the hotel.

We visited mid/late March this year. We had booked many months before and this was to be the highlight and completion of our trip. We had read all of the reviews and were delighted that we had found a little bit of paradise in an unusual part of the world in order to round off our wonderful trip to Egypt. We had booked for 4 nights. However …….. when we arrived we found out that not only were there major building works going on at the bottom of the hotel’s garden but that several of the facilities were not available - the second pool was empty and being maintained and therefore the pool bar was unusable. When we arrived this was explained to us but were told it didn’t matter because there was another pool. There was obviously quite a lot of building activity with hammering and drilling drifting noisily across the gardens. We were shown to our suite which I have to say was very pleasant. It was early afternoon so we ordered some beers to be brought up to the room. The weather wasn’t particularly good and we did have wind and rain. After our beer and the rain having stopped we walked through the town. We came back to find our empty beers still outside the room and the mess on the patio caused by the wind and rain hadn’t been cleared up. As it got dark we went down to the restaurant and asked to sit outside for a drink. We asked them to move a patio heater (of which there were a number in clumps in the grass) to a table. We asked several times and nothing happened so we went inside to finish our drinks. It was then we realised how few people there were - a French couple eating, two youngish women having a drink and us. They all soon left and we were on our own. The food was at best average - certainly not the gourmet experience we were expecting. Service was incredibly slow and not particularly competent. We went to talk to the people at reception and asked to speak to the manager as we weren’t happy. This was certainly not the sort of experience we were expecting. They said they would organise for the manager to see us at breakfast the next morning. Our experience got worse - the building work continued and moved onto the roof next to our suite and continued past midnight. By the next morning we were so unhappy we were fairly sure that we would we cancel our 3 remaining days and ask for a refund. We met the manager who was very apologetic and said he would try and make sure that we weren’t inconvenienced by the building work. It was fairly obvious as we saw the French couple checking out that were probably the only other people staying. We asked and were told that it was Ramadan and the hotel was never busy then. It was obvious that they were taking the opportunity to do maintenance whilst the hotel was empty (except for us). It would Not surprise us that the real staff had been given the time off and they had brought in some fill in staff as they all seemed very inexperienced.
