If I could rate this place no stars, I would. We had an all inclusive deal and stayed here for 3 nights. The food was terrible (accept the bbq buffet on the beach), there were restaurants with nice food (Indian and Italian) but you had to pay to eat there, they weren’t included. The cocktails they had on offer were gross, they just loaded them up with alcohol. The service was terrible, it was difficult to get anyone to do anything for you, unless again you were paying for additional items-then they were more than willing to be hospitable. Despite being all inclusive we were frequently told we couldn't have certain things at certain times, for example soda water in the morning. The hotel doesn't care about safety, drunk tourists were drowning in pools or too intoxicated to swim and the lifeguards wouldn't even notice, when patrons would make them aware they would say they couldn't do anything. Which led me to wonder why they were even there? For show? To make people feel safe? At the beach the lifeguard was hidden behind a sign smoking on his phone, not even watching We went to the spa, like everywhere else you need to haggle started at 300 USD paid 90. The experience started okay until I got a second degree burn from the steam room, they have boiling hot water free pouring with no signage that it’s hot water. They stood over us at the end demanding we completed feedback survey however stood there saying we had to circle excellent on everything. This place is the pits, stay elsewhere.

I enjoyed my relaxing stay at this resort. It began with a very nice surprise when I found out that as a Titanium Bonvoy member I was upgraded to an oceanfront suite / bungalow. (My stay was during quiet weekdays in a less busy season, so that probably helped also.) The suite was very spacious and had an amazing view of the ocean and sunrise. The breakfast was the best variety and quality I've had a hotel in Africa or the Middle East. Same with the dinner buffet. The pool areas are well kept, despite never seeing any guests using them. The bank machine by the front desk didn't work with my card, however it gave a great rate when I exchanged my British Pounds for Egyption Pounds. Most of the staff were friendly and great, especially the elite guest relations team who emailed me before my arrival and the managers who introduced themselves to me when they saw me on my first day. Housekeeping did a great job too (clean room, water bottles and coffee supplies always restocked, cute towel art), except for an isolated incident that was quickly addressed and rectified. The gym was the only noticeable negative, and was the worst gym I've seen at a Marriott resort property. Very little equipment, and very dated and worn out or broken. However, this wasn't much of a problem, because the coastal pathway is an oustanding place to go for a morning run. If you run to the west end of the pathway and back to the Sheraton, it's a 10k run. I also enjoyed going out to the end of the jetty in the mornings and snorkeling in the reefs that were full of colorful marine life. This hotel is very worthy of a 5 star review. Thank you to all the hard working staff who work hard to ensure enjoyable stays. I will be back.
