What a great place, tucked away in the middle of the glorious Peak District! I stayed here for two nights in February with a bunch of friends celebrating one of my friend's 40th Birthday. It was fabulous to be able to get up, go walking and come home to well cooked meals and welcoming hospitality. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, I was expecting basic, but they were much more than that. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms clean and modern. Thank you Colin and Team!

Gradbach Mill was the perfect place for our team to spend time together working and relaxing. It's a stunning location with wonderful walks from the doorstep and is a beautiful and restorative place to spend time. The meeting room was a decent size, light and well equipped, and we were looked after so well by Colin and the team. Great, home-cooked food (and plenty of it!), all the tea, coffee and biscuits we could handle, and really comfortable and well-equipped en-suite rooms. Having done such events before (a 2-day leadership meeting), I think Gradbach Mill is the best venue I've ever used - great value, receptive and accommodating to our needs, peaceful, friendly, beautiful. We all left planning to come back - either for work or leisure - as soon as possible!

Stunning location , great room , loved the shower . Just stunning!!!!! Breakfast was amazing . We booked this a bit randomly and last minute but so happy that we did . Will def come back and do the circular walk from here . Everything you could want and more !

A superb setting for our yoga retreat. Bedrooms of easily 4star hotel standard with comfy beds, well equipped ensuites and nice little finishing touches. During our stay the team catered for all our meals, providing a great choice of options at each meal. We'd elected a vegetarian menu and the flavours were superb and tasted delicious. Our vegan friend didn't miss out either with superb alternatives when necessary. The Team on duty that weekend were top quality and a breath of fresh air. A total asset to the mill. A great location and I'd seriously consider as a venue for family gatherings in 2024. Belter of a place.

We have been running a couple of late summer, long weekend retreats at Gradbach Mill for the past 4 years. We have found the team there all extremely personable, super obliging and helpful. The facilities are well presented and maintained. The bedrooms are all lovely with luxurious showers and bedding. The food is beautiful; plentiful and delicious. Our guests are always really impressed by the location, the Mill is in a wonderful position for walks from the door and to explore the Peak District. Being beside a river, having a firepit and lovely field to use, makes it the perfect venue for us. We hope to be back again soon!

What a great location for our wedding. The staff were so helpful and so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were warm and comfortable. The food was excellent. Thank you for making our wedding so special.

The setting is absolutely beautiful, well placed for lovely walks & very peaceful. Spent the weekend here on a yoga retreat ( 2nd time) Can’t rate it highly enough. It’s spotless, light and airy. The food is always delicious ( vegetarian in this instance) showers are good, towels and bedding pristine. Good hair drier in the room. I’d class it more as an upmarket bed & breakfast as opposed to a hotel, there’s a little bar ( no draught beers etc) bottles available & limited spirits. Wine choice perfectly adequate. Staff seem lovely, very unobtrusive, they are helpful if approached. It’s a lovely venue for friends to gather for a few days. I’ll definitely return next year .

We had our wedding here and loved every moment. The location is beautiful and the staff at Gradbach go above and beyond to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible. 100% recommend and any of the suppliers on their list too.
