Save yourself some heartache and from ruining your trip by staying at this property! They want you to believe that it is a quaint hotel with European charm but what you get is old furniture that looks as if found outside by the garbage and what could possibly be a bullet shot through the window. Would have been great to have been in the way or maybe even a loved one. Oh yes, they did not even bother to fix it. I have video and pictures to prove it. We asked if we could change rooms, of course "No." We asked if there was some way to fix with duct tape. Their solution, "Close the curtains." We noped out of there within the hour. Of course because of their greediness we are not getting any kind of refund.

Perfect room for my family. It has a good view of the park. The place is just behind iconic Chateau de Frontenac. The room has a fridge and a microwave oven. It has good wifi. I'm not sure about the parking. The only problem is there is no elevator. We had to carry our 4 heavy luggage using the stairs.

We made our reservations through a booking service and were expecting breakfast to be available. Only coffee, tea, and cocoa in the lobby, with coffee makers in the room. Had to show desk clerk our printed reservation and only then did he provide breakfast vouchers for a restaurant a short walk away. Of our five nights here we only had maid service once. Our traveling companions on another floor never received maid service, even when requested, although they were given clean towels. Beds were a little too soft for our liking. The hotel is directly adjacent to the Chateau Frontenac (shown in the picture for this hotel on the Trip Advisor website!), across the street from the Jardin du Gouverneurs park and the Terrasse Dufferin, which overlooks the St Lawrence River. So, location is fantastic. Not sure location made up for the disappointing hotel, however. When our flights home were cancelled, we were pleasantly assisted by hotel staff to book a taxi to the airport. A 20-min ride for four in a Toyota RAV4 was about $50 CAN.

We have stayed here in December and twice this March Break as a mid point in a long drive. I love this hotel. Right in the old city but nice and quiet. Rooms and beds are so comfortable and clean. Front desk staff is very kind and friendly. Check your emails and texts if you are arriving outside of front desk hours. Communication from the hotel is very efficient annd helps your anrrival go smoothly. Easy check in either way. Merci, Jardin du Goivernor, a la prochaine!
