I had a fantastic experience at the Renaissance Raleigh! The accommodations were clean, modern, and provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, making sure every detail was taken care of. But what really stood out to me was the incredible service from Dakota at valet. Every time I walked by, he greeted me by name and had me laughing with his great sense of humor. Dakota’s friendliness and ability to remember small details like my name really made the stay feel personalized. He went out of his way to assist me every time I needed something, and he’s truly the reason I’m leaving this positive review. The service he provided was outstanding, and he deserves all the recognition!

We arrived around 2:30 ish pm and needed to get to our room, order LYFT and go to a meeting scheduled for 5:00 pm. The desk person said check in time is 4:00 but would ck to see if a room had been cleaned and ready for occupancy. He verified one was ready and allowed us to go to that room. We were appreciative of the cleaning staff and the desk person. All the hotel employees were friendly and courteous. The desk personnel even helped me with getting a Lyft app set up on my phone. The breakfast buffet was really good and extensive. There was always a line to cook waffles which caused a back up and slow moving line. Maybe have more waffle irons available. I wanted to order food from a nearby Panera Bread but the desk personnel called and/or looked up on line to find it had closed. She suggested if I placed an order thru the Panera Bread app, the person who drives the shuttle could take me to a different Panera Bread a little further away to pick up the food. I accepted her offer, bought the driver a snack and gave her a tip. I was able to have a wonderful mid afternoon meal. The beds were very comfortable. I like the bathroom door with ”cloudy” glass which allows light in for use of the bathroom overnight. I like the use of attached to the wall containers of bath soap, etc. which definitely cuts down on use of smaller containers partially used and thrown away. One important thing we suggest is the street sign for Arrow Street be much larger. Not being locals, the area was unfamiliar with us, there is heavy traffic and the Arrow Street sign is very hard to see. Otherwise, we were very happy staying in this hotel.

My wife and I are loyal Marriott customers, so we were delighted when the ballroom dance competition we attended was to be held in the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley. The local is just accress US 70 from the Crabtree Valley Mall and within a few minutes of restaurants, shopping, theaters, etc. We had requested a room upgrade and were given a slightly bigger room wtih two queen beds and a small balcony. The balcony overlooked a roof and didn't provide much of a view. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Because we would be changing outfits during the competition we elected not to have housekeeping. We did, however, order room service breakfasts on the three mornings we were there (other competitors complained of slow service in the restaurant). These was a modest sized desk that my wife used for her ballroom makeup. However, it was not equipped with a lamp which was a disadvantage. In fact, the lighting for the entire room (other than the entrance and bathroom) consisted of a sconce on the wall adjacent to one bed, a lamp between the beds, and a reading light for each bed, which we found generally inadequate for the size of the room. As is the case in most hotels these days, closet space was minimal. The sliding ”barn door” that covered the closet or the small fridge (depending on its placement) had a full view mirror, but was very difficult to slide from one side to the other. The outlets adjacent to the beds had lost their grip, so anything plugged into them was likely to fall out. Several hundred people attended the competition, and we assumed that most, if not all, were staying in the hotel. However, only 2 of the 3 elevators were functioning, forcing many attendees to take the stairs to and from their rooms rather than spend time waiting for an elevator that might be filled to capacity. Be aware that the hotel has a limited number of luggage carts and, as far as we could tell, no bellman service. Some of these concerns would not be issues for the casual traveler, and we found the staff to be friendly, cordial, and helpful.

Arrived via hotel shuttle to a hotel fire alarm. Had to wait outside of the hotel for 30 minutes. Once we were let inside, we were told they could not check us in b/c the computers were down. Came back 90 minutes later and the computers were still down. The A/C did not work our first night. The heat index was near 100 degrees that day. Upon check-in, we were told they had to go room by room and reset the A/C. We were gone for most of the day. Upon arriving back in the evening, the room temp was 77 degrees with the thermostat set at 65 degrees. Called the front desk around 10pm and they said they would have someone from maintenance come to the room to reset the unit. Waited 30 minutes & nobody came. Next morning went to the front desk and inquired about the A/C. They sent someone to reset the A/C unit in our room within 5 minutes. Not sure why they could not do it the night before.

Truly amazed with this hotel. Definitely will stay again. Truly had a blast with the staff who honestly enjoyed our company and entertainment. The location was off the normal path of most traveling which was convenient to no nonsense in the area.

We stayed overnight at the Wyndham Microtel Hotel since it was close to the airport. There wasn't anything wrong with the hotel or room, we'll except there wasn't a coffee pot in the room. However the gentlemen that checked me in needs some better customer service skills. I dealt with him twice, once in person where I guess he was don't bc he just walked away from me when I asked a question regarding the airport shuttle. The second time when I called to cancel the shuttle, as we kept the rental car, and to ask for a wake up call. When I said we no longer needed the shuttle, he said OK and hung up. If rudeness doesn't bother you, then go ahead and stay here. The room was clean, the bed was comfy enough.

We got a ride from Richard Grier to the airport via the airport shuttle from the hotel. He was punctual, funny and professional and was quick to get to airport when I was running late. I would recommend this service to others and would use this service again in the future thank you Richard

We stayed here after a long day of flying back from Europe. Front desk person was OK - not particularly friendly for check in but it was later in the evening. The room was great- clean, quiet, and comfortable. We were given the hours for breakfast which we were aware was not included in the room as this was not a Holiday Express. We went in the morning to eat as it was convenient so we had a drive ahead. We were there well within the hours of serving - but there was no food out in the buffet, no one to greet us or seat us but we could hear people in the kitchen. We waited a few minutes expecting someone to come out. Did not happen so we went back to our room, collected our things, dropped our key and left. Found a restaurant near by to eat at.

The late night manager Alison was a Rock Star and so helpful in getting us into the two rooms we had reserved online. The hotel was over booked, but Alison was able to get us into a bed sometime after midnight. We were so thankful that she was on duty last night!!!❤️
