New and small hotel. We were arrived 6 hours early at the hotel, the staff was very friendly and let us use one of the bathroom to shower and refresh while we’re waiting until our room ready, excellent service.

Le Santai Toraja est un des meilleurs hôtels que l’on a fait en Indonésie (propreté et personnel au top) Nous sommes arrivées dans la nuit après un long voyage de Makassar et le staff de nuit nous a prêté une chambre en attendant que là notre se libere. Nous y avons pu continuer nous laver et continuer notre nuit. L’hôtel est bien placé (en face d’une rizière) et quant au petit dej c’était nickel ! Je recommande !

Top hotel uit 2022 iets buiten het centrum. Kleinschalig, elke kamer heeft een balkon. Prima badkamertje, ruime kamer. Prima prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Wij betaalden 640.000 roepia pn met ontbijt. Alun2 is ongeveer 15 min lopen.

Habitación muy grande, baño con agua caliente..con vistas a un arrozal.. buen desayuno y estancia cómoda.. justo enfrente hay un pequeño restaurante muy bueno. Nos ha parecido un buen lugar para alojarse

A wonderful place to stay. Clean, comfortable and a very friendly and helpful staff. It’s just on the edge of town, only minutes from everything. We loved out time here and would highly recommend it. We had five nights so we’re able to enjoy it.

Small, boutique style hotel on the edge of Rantepao. Easy to walk into town and get a bento back. Lovely informal style, common breakfast/ reception area with bar and views over the rice paddy. Well appointed air-con room with balcony and view. Fully functional bathroom. Restaurant is inexpensive and has beer, Indonesian food and pizza. Nice breakfast spread with good bread .

A fantastic place to stay while exploring the Toraja Highlands! Clean and very comfortable rooms with all the modern amenities (no TV in our room which we certainly did not miss) and excellent air conditioning (makes for a great little oasis when coming back from a long day of sweaty exploration). Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice restaurant with good food and ambiance. Located at the edge of a rice paddy. Would not stay anywhere else if we were to go back!

I've been to this area three times in the last 10 years and after this visit I would never stay any other place but this hotel. Friendly staff, home cooked food and comfortable rooms. The good thing is that they can arrange your tours to the area as well one stop shopping don't miss it

Superb boutique style hotel situated overlooking paddy fields and just a short distance from the town centre. The hotel is finished to a very high standard with simple but classic features. Staff are fantastic. Excellent breakfast which was very well presented & good quality . We did not eat in the evening but the hotel has a restaurant open until 9.00 pm with Indonesia & Italian cuisine. We used the hotels laundry service which was efficient & good value. Good a/c & a very relaxing place.

Very good modern hotel, with balcony, very friendly staff. Good beds, nice room with good coffee. Breakfast asian and western, not far from Rantepao, nice view. The whole environment is very good dualable bycar. Its all about funerals, have a guide, we liked Osman, to attend a funeral. He knows a lot. Try-out the food in restaurant Panorama, very good.

This is a new hotel on the outskirts of the small city of Rantepao, overlooking rice fields and with a beautiful view of the rural landscape from my room and the public area. It's just a short walk from the middle of town, or you can take a becak for a dollar or two. My room was upstairs, which gave it good airflow and a great view. The room had a ceiling fan and also an air conditioner, which I used sometimes. (The outside air was cool enough at night, but there were no screens on the sliding door and I was worried about letting mosquitoes into the room.) The whole hotel has a very attractive style and design, understated and modern but with nice local touches. The breakfast is really good, and I ended up having most of my dinners there too because the dinner choices were also very good, some Indonesian and some international. It just seemed a lot better than the restaurants I checked out in town, and it was so nice to relax there after long days of sightseeing. The staff is just delightful. The hotel during high season was a bit expensive by Indonesian standards but I considered it a very good value for such a nice place. I did have one serious problem but I'm not letting that affect my overall rating of the hotel. I arranged with the hotel to be picked up at the airport when I arrived, and then to go on a tour for the rest of the day. But the driver was more than an hour late (although there were plenty of other hotel and tour drivers patiently waiting at the airport when the flight arrived), and then instead of starting the tour right away he drove me all the way to the hotel (another hour) to pick up the guide, and then we drove most of the way back to the airport to a place to start the tour. I figured I lost at least three hours that could have been spent touring. Neither the guide, the driver, nor the hotel could provide any reasonable explanation for why the driver was so late or why the guide wasn't ready when I arrived, and I felt the guide and driver were lying to me and just thought I was a stupid tourist who would put up with it. Also, during the tour that afternoon I found the guide to be somewhat patronizing. We just didn't hit it off. (Fortunately I found much better options for my other days in Tana Toraja, some days with guides with other people, some days on my own. And I really loved my stay in Tana Toraja!) Anyway, I strongly recommend this hotel, but I would certainly avoid the airport pick up service and guide service they offer. There are much better options available for transfers and guides.
