Hotel berhampiran Ban Khu Bua Museum di Ratchaburi

J'ai choisi de réserver au Khum Damnoen Resort pour vivre une expérience authentique près des marchés flottants et du marché ferroviaire de Maé Klong. Étant habitué aux hôtels cinq étoiles, j'étais curieux (et un peu anxieux) de voir comment cette option locale se démarquerait en termes de confort et de services. Nous avons opté pour une villa au bord du lac avec jacuzzi, qui s'est avérée être un véritable havre de paix malgré quelques zones en chantier. Cependant, la chambre était étrangement étroite et basse de plafond. La salle de bain laissait clairement à désirer : elle était petite, non climatisée, et disposait d’une une fenêtre impossible à fermer qui laissait entrer chaleur et humidité. Il y avait en outre très peu de rangements, aussi bien dans la salle de bain que dans la chambre, qui ne se prête pas à des longs séjours. Elle restait toutefois bien équipée avec des peignoirs, des chaussons, des produits d'accueil, et un minibar. Un point négatif était la clé du coffre-fort, énorme et avec le numéro de chambre inscrit dessus, ce qui n'était pas pratique du tout et même contre-productif en terme de sécurité et de confidentialité. L'hôtel dispose d’une très grande piscine, mais il n'y avait pas de transats disponibles, à l'exception de ceux réservés aux villas au bord de la piscine. Le Khum Damnoen Resort propose également divers services tels que des massages, des activités sur la rivière Kwaï et la location de vélos. Nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit et n’avons pas eu le temps d'en profiter. Un autre aspect décevant de l'hôtel est le manque de cohérence dans la conception. Les différentes options d'hébergement semblent n'avoir aucun rapport entre elles. Nous avons observé : - des chalets au bord du lac, avec des lustres en bois de cerfs, - un bâtiment colonial, couvert de lierre, avec des couloirs à l’aspect de manoir hanté, - des villas au bord de la piscine, devant lesquelles sont disposés les seuls transats qui doivent être occupés par ceux qui utilisent la piscine. Celles-ci disposaient par ailleurs d’une baignoire sabot sur la terrasse, visible de tous. Curieux… De même, le mobilier et les éléments de décoration de l’hôtel, dont certains très cheap, semblent avoir été ajoutés progressivement, contribuant ainsi à cette impression d'incohérence. Le personnel était nombreux, mais souvent débordé. À l’arrivée, il y avait 5 ou 6 réceptionnistes entassés derrière le desk pour seulement deux clients qui faisaient le check-in. Cette quantité impressionnante de personnel pour pas grand chose s’est en particulier ressentie au restaurant où le service était long et très confus. Nous avons fait le tour du restaurant alors que toutes les tables étaient libres avant d’être installés. Il y avait beaucoup de serveur qui ricanait. La maîtrise de l'anglais était ultra limitée,m. Heureusement, une réceptionniste proactive et sympathique a relevé le niveau. Je n’ai malheureusement pas noté son nom. Au moment de quitter l'établissement, nous a

Es war die Überraschung zum Geburtstag: Amphawa Floating Market, Mae Klong Train Market und Übernachtung im Chuchai Buri Sri. Öffnet man die Hoteltür, Personal gab es dafür nicht, kommt man zunächst in eine sehr beeindruckende Halle. Das Auge weiß gar nicht, was es als erstes betrachten soll. Check in verlieren reibungslos, ab 14h00 das Zimmer verfügbar. Warten in der Lobby oder im Café auf der idyllischen Terrasse am Klong. Info über das fertige Zimmer gab es dann per Anruf. Das Zimmer im 1. Stock des Anbaus war sehr nett eingerichtet, hatte die ein oder andere Stolperfalle (Stufe ins Bad und . Stufe zur Toilette), die man sich besonders für nachts merken sollte. Aus der Frühstücksterrasse und dem Frühstück im 1.Stock des Haupthauses ließe sich mehr machen. Zumal man auch hier wieder den direkten Blick auf den Kanal hat. Die Getränke und Speisen im Café waren wirklich etwas für das Auge, was man sich allerdings auch bezahlen ließ. Die Preise hatten schon ein sehr homes Niveau. Die Lages des Hotels zum Floating Market war ideal. Am Ufer des Kanals entlang, vorbei an teils geschlossenen Geschäften geplant man in kürzester ins Zentrum des Marktes. An unserem Wochenende wurden die Stände bereits gegen 20h00 abgebaut und geschlossen. Aber wir haben ja noch das Hotel. Irrtum um 20h30 war alles dunkel, Service gab es nirgendwo mehr und selbst Automaten gab es keine. Besorgt Euch rechtzeitig etwas für den Abend. Bezaubern waren die Damen an der Rezeption, als es um die Fahrt zum Mae Klong Train Market ging, mit Ihrem Organisationstalent. Zwar gab es beim Preis ein Missverständnis, was das „Taxi“ Kosten sollte. aber das Bringen und Abholen hat hervorragend geklappt. Danke dafür. Das Chuchai Buri Sri ich zweigeteilt: der öffentliche Bereich, willkommen auch bei posenden Menschen für die Social Medias, bietet sehr viel zum Sehen und sich Wohlfühlen. Dieses lässt man sich auch gut bezahlen. Der Hotelgast erhält eben das, was er gebucht hat. Dach über dem Kopf, ein lieblos präsentiertes Frühstück mit Filterkaffee auf der Warmhalteplatte (Cappuccino oder Latte Macchiato gibt es nur im Cafe) einzeln verpackte Zutaten, Butter in der Wärme geschmolzen. Sicherlich ist es ein meckern auf hohem Niveau, doch habe ich hier den Eindruck: Mehr Schein als sein. Und es war trotzdem schön !

Location is about 1km away from the railway station. Not too far away but there's a few hotels which are nearer. Check in and out was fast. I didn't see anything written about asking for deposit on the website. It just happened that was my last 2 nights in Ratchaburi and most of my Thai baht were finishing soon. Cleanliness was good. It will be better if the room was given instant coffee. The worst I should say about the stay was the wifi. Overall for the price I paid, it was still worthwhile. Clean room and peaceful environment to rest.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting House of Passion Amphawa and I cannot recommend it enough. The experience was truly delightful from start to finish. The property is stunning, with beautifully designed rooms and tranquil outdoor spaces that make you feel completely immersed in nature. The attention to detail is remarkable, from the carefully selected artwork to the luxurious bedding and amenities. Each room is unique and has its own charm. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. They are attentive and always ready to help with anything you need, whether it's arranging a local tour or recommending the best local eateries. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast, which was served fresh each morning with locally sourced ingredients. The homemade jams and pastries were particularly noteworthy. House of Passion Amphawa is the perfect destination for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I originally did not book this place but as it is Songkran period and I am unable to get another resort nearby, I took a leap of faith and book this homestay. What an experience I got in return. This is one of the most cosy place I have ever stayed in Thailand for the past many years. The hotel staff and boss is very friendly and warm and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. You can see they really take pride in their work and is proud to work here. They have limited English proficiency compared to a normal BKK hotel but still good enough to communicate. The customers consist mainly of Thai people from my observation but there are a few foreigners like me too. The hotel dining area has a view to die for , you can hang around here whole day and you can order food and drinks from their menu or you can buy elsewhere and eat here. The staff is chill about this, which is great. The activity offered from the hotel are fire fly watching for 60B per person at 8pm and give offering food (50B per person) to monk who will come by in the morning at 6AM, both which are very cheap for hotel related activity. Walking distance to the famous amphawa floating market area. The rooms are authentic and declared in Thai fashion. The garden area is very nicely decorated and there is a small bar playing music near where the room is. If you walk outside the hotel, there are other Thai people staying nearby so this give you a great insight of how Thai people live in amphawa area. The breakfast are really good with many Thai kanom (desert) with fried eggs and pad Thai every morning. There is not much for lunch and dinner but if you are ok with mainly vegetable, you can have a good meal too (FOC). I am suppose to stay for 3 days but I extend it 6 instead as I love it so much. A great must try experience if you want to experience how to live like a Thai person. the name is so appropriate , Baanrak which means house love in Thai language.

ห้องพักสะอาด ห้องกว้างมากๆ มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบครัน ชอบห้องน้ำ มี rain shower น้ำแรง อาบแล้วสบายตัว ใครมาราชบุรี ขอแนะนำเลยค่ะ สะดวกใกล้เมือง หาของกินง่าย พี่เจ้าของดูแลเองเป็นอย่างดี มีโอกาสจะมาพักใหม่ค่ะ

Nous avons apprécié ce petit séjour car l’hôtel est très tranquille, le bungalow donne une vue sur le canal et la rivière. La piscine était juste à côté. Nous nous sommes baladés aux alentours de l’hôtel à vélo et c’était vraiment super (vélo prêtés par l’hôtel). Le seul petit hic c’est que l’hôtel est un peu éloigné du centre ville et il fait systématiquement commander un tuk-tuk pour y aller (comptez 150b chaque trajet).

What a gem of a find. The service from all the staff who work here was equal to any 5 star accommodation we have stayed at. Having just stayed at the 5* Verdana Resort in a beachfront villa in Cha Am, the service overall here was much better. Rooms of a great standard and a quirky inflatable in the long , not too deep pool, added to the overall experience. If you're ever in the area, give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.
