Hotel berhampiran Basilica di San Francesco, Ravenna, Ravenna

· The hotel was located in the center of the old city and gave easy access to all we wanted to see. From a historical perspective, the hotel is situated directly opposite to all things pertaining to Dante; his house, tomb and museum. Of course there is so much more to been seen around the hotel too. We booked a Deluxe Suite which was essentially a 2 bedroomed apartment with kitchenette and dining area. It was all spotlessly clean and a great sense of generosity by means of the utensils, equipment provided. It was obviously well thought out to ensure that 'at home ' feeling which we felt immediately. The full sized fridge was generously stocked with the essentials of milk, fruit juice, butter and bottled water to get us started. The complementary breakfast consisted of a selection of cereals, cakes, biscuits crackers and dried fruit and some fresh fruit too. The manager even bought us a special Ravenna cake for us. The bedrooms were large with high ceilings and the entire apartment had a feeling of the romantic age of the city. However, as the hotel is situated in a pedestrian area with a few restaurants that had tables onto the street below us, it was a little noisy at night. It didn't bother us. In fact I enjoyed going to sleep listing to the clang of wine glasses and the sound of the melodic Italian language as people enjoyed the freedom to share once again. Being non meat eaters, we found excellent vegetarian and vegan restaurants within walking distance which was a real bonus for us. In all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Reunion Hotel and have already planned our return visit.

Excellent hotel in every way. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. I inquired as to the name of a beautiful tree at the entrance to their inner garden. The young lady at reception didn’t know but when I returned several hours later she had all the info about this lovely Judas tree including pictures. This hotel is wonderful. Beautiful Palazzo in a great location. Spotless room and a terrific breakfast. However, the highlight is the staff. They are some of the kindest and most helpful staff we have ever encountered. We had a car issue and two Hotel employees, Emmanuel and Andrea spent two hours assisting us to ensure that the car was attended to by EuropCar. We would have been very hard pressed to get the agency to respond positively without them. There was nothing they wouldn't do to make us whole even if it wasn't any issue with the hotel. Also Matteo at the front desk was a wonderful advisor on restaurants. If we ever return to Ravenna, Hotel Palazzo Bezzi will be our hotel. Highly recommended

L hotel è situato in posizione centralissima comodo per visitare la citta. L hotel sembra ristrutturato da poco le camere non sono particolarmente spaziose ma comunque comode e dotate di ogni supporto e funzionalità. La forza dell’hotel sta senza dubbio nel personale. Ho viaggiato con un gruppo di amici e non ho mai trovato personale così disponibile e pronto a soddisfare ogni tipo di richiesta non ultima la possibilità di anticipare di mezz’ora la colazione del mattino. Complimenti a tutti ed in particolare al sig Marco in reception. Sicuramente tornerò al Byron. Consigliatissimo.

Good: Location and the front office manager Giovanna. Ravenna, of cause! Ravenna is charming and full of treasures. Bad: All the rest. The rooms have been screaming for renovation for years. I got a choice between: - a room in front of the laundry/technical zone - a room near the elevator - a room with the vue on some technical installations. All of them noisy, each in it's own unique way. You are also perfectly informed of your neighbours visits to the bathroom. Soundproofing is inexistent. The female receptionist would be perfect as jail gate-keeper, not in contact with clients in a 4* hotel. A HUGE THANK YOU to Giovanna who knows the job and tried to do as best as she could with the bad material she had. Thank you for your kindness, your professionalism and the raspberry cocktail.

This modern hotel is in a back street very near San Vitale and convenient to all the other locations to visit in the city. The staff are excellent, help and friendly - I'd managed to lose my suitcase keys en route but they soon solved the problem! Room not so great - there was nowhere at all to hang clothes apart from two coat hooks by the door. Also there was no mirror in the bedroom, just one in the (rather cramped) bathroom. The aircon also leaked water on occasion. The bed was comfortable, although too low for my taste. Good breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit. All-in-all a good place to stay though not cheap.

Our party of five had two rooms at the Mosaico prior to embarking on a cruise. It's hard to review this stay as there were two very distinct elements I'd rate very differently. Upon arrival, we were told our rooms were in the Residence Mosaico and we just had to 'turn right and walk a few minutes'. It was nearly half a mile on busy roads, at one point with no sidewalks, crossing at blind corners, all while lugging suitcases and trying to make sure our children were not run over. That part of the experience was HORRID. We didn't get good directions and had to pull out google maps to find the building, and there was no warning when we booked or any expectations set for this. That said, once we got to that building we were pleased. Each 'room' on the fourth floor was actually a full apartment with very high beamed ceilings, full kitchen, a washing machine in the bath, balcony and two bedrooms each. They were clean and quiet, with good AC, and we enjoyed the rooms...one we got there. It was a ten minute walk into Ravenna and once we knew how to find the building, we were ok (though hauling the suitcases back to the lobby to check out the next day was again rough). While I might stay there again, I would be sure to find out the location of my room before I paid off the taxi and unloaded everything half a mile away. The receptionist needs to give clearer directions (yes, it was 'turn right' but it was SO much farther than expected we kept thinking we'd missed it because surely it couldn't be that far. It's far enough that a shuttle should be offered when you have bags, at check in and check out.

The B&B Hotel is in a residential area of Ravenna, 5 minutes to the centre of the city by bus or a 30 minute walk. There is a large free car park. Our room was clean and comfortable with a small bathroom, all modern and functional. The compact buffet breakfast area was well organised with a reasonable supply of cereals, cold meat, cheese etc. and self-serve tea and coffee from a machine. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Beer and soft drinks were available from a vending machine. Several family restaurants and cafes were within walking distance.
