Hotel Perniagaan di Reading

Very close to city center with access to food late at night. 15 minute walk to Train station. The room is tidy and bathroom is neat. However there is no amenities. I paid another 10 pounds to check in early at 12. The lift was not working at the time.

Perfectly clean, very comfortable, everything you need for overnight stays - including Baylis & Harding shower creme and hand wash. However our room was incredibly cold: we had to constantly turn up the thermostat but the increase in temperature was dreadfully slow and the heater kept turning itself down. On our second night we had to go to bed in jumpers - the outside temperature was 2° and our room temperature would not rise above 14° - a very cold night indeed. Breakfast was an excellent experience: huge choice of continental and cooked, served quickly and pleasantly. As a coelliac - intolerant to gluten - I cannot fault the carefulness of the staff and indeed the choice I had: absolutely incredible, thank you. The staff overall were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they were all very pleasant and happy in their work. Overall a great, although rather cold, experience.

Very nice clean hotel would definitely stay there again. It was also nice getting a free upgrade on the room. Witch had kettle, microwave, and fridge with a small freezer compartment. The room was like your own flat. Only down side to it was the shower was pretty crap. But you can put up with it for few nights.

I really want to sing the praises of the lovely manager who was on duty on the night of 15th February and then the morning of the 16th. I didn't get your name, sorry! I was staying as part of a large group of Scentsy consultants who were attending an event at the Town Hall. Afterwards, we all came back to the hotel bar where this lady made us all feel incredibly welcome. She served us all with a smile, working late to ensure we all had a great night. She provided biscuits and plates for our takeaway pizzas and never once complained! The following morning, she was back with that same enthusiasm and smile. This lady had such a positive vibe and energy about her and made our stay! Well done. Absolute credit to Premier Inn Reading Central!

The good part: Staff are very friendly although check-in seems to take a little longer than Premier Inn, the reception area and seating to relax looks fantastic and the pizzas that the staff make 24/7 are absolutely delicious. The drink & pizza prices are reasonable. Location wise is spot on, just a two minute walk from the train station and central to everything. They provide more variety of tea & coffee in rooms, such as fruit & herbal teas, and decaff coffee, this totally beats any other budget hotel. Bad points: This is a cashless hotel & this is something i'm firmly against for a variety of reasons they lost £200 in sales due to this from myself & friends. The pillows are rock hard and kept waking up with a sore neck, the beds are also uncomfortable and feels like your sleeping on the floor. The noise from housekeeping is absolutely atrocious all you hear from several floors above and below, are the staff dragging large heavy trollies around and this goes on from 11am to 4pm if you need to sleep during the day forget it. The toilets smell of sewage & urine so sometimes you return back to your room and it stinks. There is also construction work ongoing Monday-Friday until Nov 2022 yet the prices are still very high. The cooling systems seem to work fine for an hour or so but then quickly the room becomes stuffy and warm, due to the location having the window open is very noisy especially at weekends.
