"This hotel is slightly away from the shopping malls but there are some convenience stores around where purchase of standard stuff is made easier. There is also a Starbucks near the hotel that can satisfy our needs. The room is very big as compared to the other hotels around the vicinity. The bathroom is big and it is separated from the toilet."

"Fantastic! They offer an evening shuttle service to Fengjia Night Market, which saved us the hassle of finding parking. Our driver was friendly and courteous. The room was spacious and featured a large bathtub, and most importantly, it was impeccably clean. Our kids absolutely loved it! The late-night snacks and breakfast were also a great bonus, both very generous and delicious. When we visited the gym in the evening, it was empty, so we had it all to ourselves."

"It was a theme park hotel. Very far from town. The hotel was not a bad one, the facilities inside are good, but it can be better for the price range. The theme park is very old, and rather run down, some equipments were closed and abandoned with rust... not a bad one, but consider the price paid, it was not value for money...will revisit if the theme park go thru major renovation."

"To be honest, the room facilities are really simple, if the requirements are not high actually still can, but with this price to rent two nights seems to deviate from the actual imagination 🙄 And the whole suite most I appreciate is the toilet board 🤭🤭 dinner three people (one Evening) 1000 Taiwan dollars, actually have a hometown flavor, delivery service is very good, warm reminder: if guests go to the public hot spring remember to bring their own towels, the hot spring area does not have towels for Should (end)🤫 This is about 1 and a half hours from the city, if you need to go to the city center, it is recommended to find a night to stay in the city center before going, because it is too wasteful to go back and forth, and Monday seems to be their local rest Day, many restaurants are closed, if you want to find a restaurant along the way to the valley is more difficult! 🤑🤑"

"Best resort in Taiwan and worth every penny. Highest level of service - it’s like being at a modern luxury ryokan in Japan except everyone speaks Chinese. Room design is brilliant, and one king room fit my family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers with a California king and a separate tatami area. The room has an epic view from every angle the moment you walk in the door and includes a private outdoor onsen connected to your bathroom. I noticed many private in-room onsens in Japan are diluted down, but this was spring fed. The public onsen was huge, extremely well maintained, and included a large walled zen garden with an adjacent sauna and cold plunge. I was lucky enough to experience this area all to myself with one other guest leaving as I arrived and another guest arriving as I was leaving. In China, this onsen would have comfortably accommodated 100 bathers. The spring water is not high in sulfuric content (doesn’t smell like rotten eggs), and the temperature is relatively mild - ideal for my family. Given the limited availability of the hotel online, I was expecting it to be more crowded. I got the sense that room rates are controlled to optimize guest experience, not profit, while staff are trained to ensure that customers never feel like they are being ripped off or “sold”. It seemed there were more staff than guests on site. I originally booked 2 rooms, and some of my family members couldn’t make the trip. We didn’t need the second room, and the staff were very gracious to refund and cancel the second room on the spot. When I’m back in Taiwan or traveling to a place where Hoshinoya does business, I would not hesitate to book again and make a special journey to stay at one of their destination resorts."

"We booked a one-night stay in a SPA-themed room with two double beds. We checked into the hotel at 7:35 PM on July 24th. Upon entering the room, we discovered the toilet wasn't flushing and there was no cold water in the private hot spring bathroom. We immediately notified the front desk, and hotel staff promptly came to fix it. They explained it might have been due to a water supply issue. Since the hot spring bathroom only had scalding hot water and no cold, it was impossible to take a bath. After urgent repairs, both hot and cold water were restored around 11:15 PM. However, by midnight, the toilet started leaking non-stop (it was still leaking when we checked out). Upon waking up in the morning, we were very concerned about a potential electrical hazard. Paying such a high price for a hotel with so many faulty facilities was truly not worth it. After checking out, the hotel offered us a pudding as an apology. However, this experience was utterly unsatisfactory, leaving a very poor impression of the hotel's facilities and overall quality. We definitely won't be returning."
