"We stayed for three consecutive nights, and it was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend this place for families or couples. It boasts a beautiful tropical jungle setting, perfect for nature walks where you can spot plenty of wildlife. This is a truly excellent hotel that provides complimentary city shuttle service, making everything incredibly convenient and hassle-free. They offer personalized butler service, and the kitchen excels at preparing various seafood and delicious Cantonese cuisine – simply superb! Semporna itself is amazing! You can go hiking and take in stunning views of the emerald-green sea; make sure to seize every opportunity. Booking island hopping tours through the hotel was very cost-effective. We got two snorkeling sessions, each lasting about half an hour, and it was incredible! We saw countless fish and vibrant coral reefs. We ended up staying in Semporna for eight or nine days. The sea fishing was fantastic! We actually caught fish – small groupers and redfish, medium-sized, and plenty for a delicious dinner! We even added an arm-long mantis shrimp to our meal. It was a perfect experience! I haven't fished in ages, and I was so surprised to actually catch fish here, especially since I'd rented a fishing boat on another island in a different country before and caught absolutely nothing."

"Room was very clean and comfortable. The boat ferry was timely and easy. The boat staff were very friendly as were those in the office on the mainland. Staff at Sky Villas were pleasant but weren’t that engaged. We weren’t made aware that there was no bar service so I’d recommend stocking up before arriving at the villas. We were also unaware that they weren’t able to help with excursions I.e. you’d have to pay more to island hop.  Food was nice but quite similar dishes were served for lunch and dinner.  We unfortunately had poor weather so ended up cutting our stay by one night (we ended up staying two nights). I’d recommend doing two nights maximum.  Comfortable stay but all in all, it’s very expensive and I’m not sure it warranted the expense."

According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.
"We loved our stay here at Santiri Island Resort. We celebrated our 10th year wedding anniversary and it lived up to our expectation. The resort was beautiful, it was small and intimate and not many rooms, which we enjoy because it limits the crowd on the island. It really felt like we had the island to ourselves. The picture doesn't do its justice. You need to go there to see it for yourself. The resort is unique as it has a sandbank when it's low tide, good for pictures taking or taking a stroll. The food was delicious and you could also get them to cook your seafood that you buy from the sea gypsies. They will try their best to entertain your request. You can snorkel, kayak and paddleboard around the area. The corals are very nice here. The staff here was very helpful and friendly, I would like to thank Dato' (owner), Mandy and Sam and other staff for your hospitality. We Will definitely come back here!"

"Squirrels were seen on the big tree by the swimming pool! The staff were very nice, the kindest people I met in Semporna, and the food cooked by the boss was also good! The room was quite big, the air conditioning was good enough, I played in the swimming pool for two days, and there were cats! When the cat pampers you, it will come over and rub your legs. It is a long-haired Maine Coon mixed with orange cats, beautiful!"

"Because I finalized my trip quite late, I only booked the water villa a week in advance. Many water villas were already sold out, so after much deliberation, I chose White Sand Bay. Overall, it was great value for money and I would definitely come back again. In short, I highly recommend it. Here are some details about my experience: Facilities: Very new, only opened a year or two ago, exceeding my expectations. The room's bright color scheme was very comfortable. The air conditioning was also good. However, there were some drawbacks. The shower area in the bathroom was prone to clogging, and the water drained very slowly, so you had to shower quickly. Secondly, there was no hot water, which was a major problem. I recommend showering in the afternoon sun, as the cold water might be too much to handle at night. Also, the room door's soundproofing was average; I suggest choosing a room further from the restaurant, as people walking in the hallway at night can disturb your sleep. Therefore, I give it 4 stars. Cleanliness: I'm a bit of a clean freak, but overall it was clean, even exceeding my expectations. This indicates excellent hygiene. The bed was also very comfortable and wide, but a bit short; I estimate it to be about 1.8 meters long. If you are longer than that, I suggest sleeping sideways or diagonally for more comfort! Because it was cleaner and more comfortable than expected, I give it 5 stars. Environment: It's relatively far from the shore, about a 25-minute boat ride. The overall water quality is acceptable, although there's some trash, but not much. The scenery is beautiful and breathtaking. The water villas are also very photogenic, with unique designs that look great. Overall rating: 4.5 stars. Service: The service is acceptable. While not amazing, it's fine. The staff are friendly and generally handle problems well. The shuttle will contact you in advance to arrange your visit to the water villa. There are many activities available at the water villas, such as fishing, paddleboarding, and snorkeling. As for the food, which many people complain about, I think it's just so-so. It's not delicious, but it's not bad either; it's just a normal buffet. If you want something better, you can bargain with the boat passengers in the afternoon to buy seafood and have the kitchen prepare it. Overall rating for this: 4.5 stars."

"My girlfriend and I chose an overwater bungalow for our island vacation and ultimately decided on Dragon Pearl Water Villas on Pom Pom Island. It proved to be an excellent choice. The island is quite remote, requiring a 45-minute boat ride from the mainland. It was incredibly clean, unlike other islands we've visited, with absolutely no trash. We also visited during the off-season, meaning fewer crowds, which made for a truly fantastic stay. Staying in an overwater bungalow for a night was a wonderful experience. We could directly witness both the sunrise and moonrise from our room, with fish swimming right beneath us in the clear waters. While the facilities were a bit basic, the natural environment and the overall island development were outstanding. It's truly perfect for couples on a romantic getaway or honeymoon, and also great for girlfriends traveling together to take beautiful photos. The hotel service was also good. While not as convenient as on the mainland (which is to be expected for an island resort), it was generally fine. Overall, I think it's a superb choice and I highly recommend it to everyone. A tip: For the hotel's airport transfer and speedboat services to and from the island, it's crucial to confirm details with both Ctrip and the hotel in advance. Ctrip did an excellent job coordinating everything beforehand, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free journey. Fantastic!"

"Complaint: Near the turtle viewing area, there were several sand pits on the beach that posed a serious safety hazard! My calf accidentally slipped into one of these holes. As we were about to leave the island, I was in such a rush that I didn't thoroughly check the injury. Three weeks later, the scar on my calf from the sand abrasion is still visible. 😣 Not only did I endure physical discomfort, but it has also significantly marred the appearance of my leg! 😤 Round-trip Airport Transfer (advance booking required): I booked the airport pick-up service. The bus was completely full and took a grueling 90 minutes to reach the pier. From there, it was a 50-minute boat ride to the hotel. The boat was incredibly choppy, and I felt so seasick I nearly vomited! 🤮 Cleanliness: The room's cleanliness was just average. Facilities: Outdated. Setting: The natural environment was well-preserved, and the scenery was beautiful. Service: It was merely average, with the food quality being particularly disappointing."

"I recommend this place. The staff is very warm. We arrived at nearly 10 o'clock late. 3 people were hungry and hungry. The takeaway was also off work.
