YYuang MingGood location. 10 min walk to Reykjavik Downtown. The supermarket was around the corner. A coffeeshop was nearby. I was here because of the Reykjavik Marathon 2024.

The reception desk is exceptionally helpful, and the restaurant staff, particularly during breakfast, are outstanding. Wish the breakfast had more hot food variety and also better coffee options (only had filter coffee), neverthless still a great breakfast spread.The hotel comprises a modern half and an older section, but both segments provide all necessary amenities. Easy access to taxis and the nearby bus stop, which is ideal for convenient Iceland tour pick-ups. Overall, a comfortable stay with excellent service and accessibility.

PPengguna TetamuI traveled to Iceland and chose this hotel for a total of three nights. This is the first night（8.6）,Everything else in the hotel is very good. The only terrible thing is that for the room on my left, I can clearly hear their phone calls. For the room on my right, I can clearly hear them coughing and talking, which is very clear in the middle of the night. I doubt whether every room can hear the sound like this, so I will consider whether it is useful to propose to change the room.

KkikophilosophieI‘ll recommend to choose a lower bunk when you are going to stay in a 6-beds-room, because there is no private curtains in upper bunks. What’s more, you must spend about 6 euros to rent a towel if you don’t bring one. It’s a little noisy in night especially for people who must go sleep and get up early to attend a travel tour. But you can always get ear plugs from the friendly stuff for free.

WWaWa_MacI think Hotel Holt is a nice boutique hotel with all you need. It’s small but all details and needs are being catered. Hotel management is running it with heart which you can see in many aspects. I think this hotel. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on it but overall experience is good. The price is a bit pricey but it’s okay as we are in city centre. Well located and just a few minutes walk to the Main Street. And the best overall, they have car park and it’s free….

PPengguna TetamuGreat hotel. Faboulous size family room for 2 adults and 2 teens- proper big and comfy beds for all and no sofa beds! Lovely buffet style breakfast with hot and cold food. We like the location which is about 20mins wslk to town centre but local to fantastic swimming pool with lots of thermal springs of varying temperature. Hotel had free parking so was very convenient for us with hire car. Spa within hotel was also a bonus. Resturant and bar within hotel served great food. All staff was friendly and helpful. If we ever go back to zIceland will definitely stay here again.

I was allocated the room just above the main entrance as such, it can be quite noisy whenever people get in or out of the hostel with the door slamming and some vibration felt! The bathroom and wc are fairly clean and tidy. Very cosy common area to mingle and make new friends. Kitchen has all the basic necessity. I especially like the small area right outside my room where i can have a light meal and nice view of the surroundings. Bought the unlimited bus rides ticket via the Klappid app for travel within the Reykjavik capital city and bus svc 12 is just few steps away. If time permits, you can even walk to the coastal area for sight-seeing. Overall, i am very satisfied with my 8 nights stay at Laekur hostel!

SStefanI can absolutely sympathise with people who struggle to get in and check in to this hotel. When you book through a 3rd party app, you do not receive your room number or entry code. The check-in process is then an adventure of trying to shout into a tablet near the front door, for a call that lasts maximum 2 minutes before it disconnects and you have to try again. The layout is… odd… to say the least, but if you follow the signs you can eventually end up at your room (if you find some of the doors that work, not all do). The maintenance person who broke into our room while we were out forgot to lock the door, so we were at risk of all of our things being stolen, which wasn’t ideal. The room itself was nice, location is good and as long as you don’t need anything, you are getting what you pay for.

Before arrival, we were worried that we cannot checkin because we took a night flight. However, when i called the staff, he answered that even our arrival time is out of customer service, he could leave the key and PIN code for us to self-checkin, he also went beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. Their attention to detail and eagerness to assist with any inquiries set the tone for a delightful stay. The guesthouse itself boasted a quaint and cozy atmosphere, with communal areas that were well-kept and adorned with tasteful decorations, offering a homely comfort that was immediately noticeable. The included breakfast was a highlight of the stay, featuring a generous spread of both local and continental options, freshly prepared and sure to satisfy a variety of tastes. The morning meal provided a wonderful opportunity to mingle with other guests and exchange travel tales, all while enjoying the delightful array of food. However, it's worth noting that the room space was somewhat compact.
